Torn Wallpaper

Happy Tuesday to everyone, Kirsten here with an extra post. I thought I'd shown you all of the Indigo Blu projects, but then I found this one hiding in blogger land.

It was inspired by a project in the July issue of Craft Stamper magazine. I used mini distress inks - Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed & Spiced Marmalade.

First layer; Mustard Seed & Spiced Marmalade blended onto super smooth white card, flicked with water & dried.

'Elizabeth Bennet' stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink & heat set with WOW Clear Gloss embossing powder......

Second layer; Super Smooth torn in two, inked with Salty Ocean, water flicked on top, dried. Stamped words from the 'Discover Your Passion' set with permanent blue ink.......

Third layer; Super Smooth torn in two, inked with Picked Raspberry, flicked with water & mix of Salty Ocean & water, dried. Flourish from 'Discover Your Passion' stamped with Picked Raspberry, dried.

Layer assembled & splatters of Tuscan Satin Silkies added (face masked to protect if from splatters).....

The finished card.............

(Quote my own from two different alphabet stamp sets).

Thanks for looking. Until next time, happy crafting.

Mini Printer Tray

Hello blog visitors, Kirsten here. One of my samples for the Indigo Blu class a few weeks ago was a Tando Creative Mini Printer tray............

I painted the frame with gesso first, then with Martha Stewart Hailstorm & Pollen acrylic paints. The background is a piece of Anna Marie Designs striped card.

The image is Indigo Blu's Elizabeth Bennet stamp. I stamped her with Onyx Black Versafine, heat set with WOW Clear Gloss embossing powder & coloured with Promarkers, then I sealed the entire image by covering it with embossing ink & heat set with more clear EP. I used Glossy Accents to attach a few seed beads to two of the flowers.

I stamped the Lavinia Stamps Field Grass stamp with plum Archival ink, then again with embossing ink & set with white embossing powder.

Card-io Majestix butterflies stamped onto acetate with black Stazon ink, coloured with alcohol inks & cut out. I used a little Soft Purple Sparkle Medium through the TCW Chickenwire Reversed stencil...........

I covered the wooden heart with a piece of Anna Marie Designs Dottie card. The quote is from the Card-io Majestix Say It With Flowers stamp set. I used Stampendous
Shabby White Fran'tage embossing powder around it & on the frame.............

Stamped & Stencilled

*This is an Indigo Blu promotion post. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Hello, happy Tuesday. Here's another of my Indigo Blu card samples..........

I used the TCW harlequin stencil for the background. First, I applied Mustard Seed mini distress ink through it, then I moved the stencil slightly & applied Peacock Feathers mini distress on top.

'Elizabeth Bennet' was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine & heat set with WOW Clear Gloss embossing powder. I added a little colour with watered down distress inks & painted over the flowers with Imagination Crafts Silkies paints - Sunshine Satin & Tuscan Satin - stamped the butterfly onto scrap card, coloured it, cut it out & attached it to the main image with Cosmic Shimmer glue.

Easy Watercolour Background

*This post is part of the Indigo Blu promotion. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Hello crafters, happy Friday. This card began as one of those "I wonder if..." moments.

I wondered if Versacolor inks would react with water & as you can see they certainly did. I swiped Turquoise, Peony & Canary on to the craft sheet & spritzed them with water, placed a piece of Super Smooth white card on top & gently pressed down, then dried with the heat tool. I did this a few times, turning the card until I was happy with the result.

I stamped the Indigo Blu 'Elizabeth Bennet' on top with Onyx Black Versafine & heat set with
clear embossing powder, then coloured a few areas with felt tip pens.

I matted & layered the finished piece onto Core'dinations card, then onto a shaped, 6x6 card blank.

That's it from me for now. Until next time, happy crafting.
