Starlights & Artemio Christmas Baubles

Good morning, I hope everyone had a nice weekend & is ready for Christmas?! I most certainly am not, so thank goodness there's one more weekend left before the big day. I've got three cards to show you today, made with the Artemio Christmas Baubles stamp set, Starlights paints & Sweet Poppy Christmas Wreath stencil & Glossy White Dimension Paste.

I created simple backgrounds for the first two cards by brushing Platinum & Rich Gold Starlights over squares of white Super Smooth card. I added splatters of Topaz mixed with water to the first piece.......

I stamped two baubles onto the first square with Versamark ink & heat set with WOW Rich Gold embossing powder. The third bauble was stamped onto a piece of scrap Super Smooth that I had painted with Red Starlights & also heat set with Rich Gold EP, then I cut it out & attached it to the square.

I found the little gold bow & bells in my stash, matted & layered with red, gold & black card onto a 7x7 white card blank.

For the second card, I stamped the bauble onto card painted with Blue Starlights & cut it out. I painted pieces of art canvas with Green, Menthol, & Blue mixed with Silver Starlights, then die cut the canvas with the Leane Creatief Multi Flower 004 die & the Sue Wilson Trailing Ivy die set (sold out at present)..............

The die cut canvas has a lovely texture...........

For my final card today, I applied Glossy White Dimension Paste through the Sweet Poppy
Christmas Wreath stencil (sold out at present) & when it was dry, I replaced the stencil & applied White Gold Starlights.

I stamped the bauble onto white card painted with Platinum Starlights, then cut it out & embellished it with a length of gold thread. I added some clear gems & another piece of Trailing Ivy die cut...........

I used a mini blending tool & foam to apply Menthol Starlights through the Imagination Crafts'
Holly Corner stencil directly onto the 7x7 card blank.

The greeting on all three cards is the Retro Merry Christmas stamp by Stampendous, stamped with Onyx Black Versafine & heat set with clear embossing powder.

Sparkly Candle Holder

Happy Sunday blog visitors, hope your weekend is going well. A very quick project from me today........

I covered the Artemio candle holder - on sale at the monthly classes in Fant Hall, Maidstone with gesso to seal it, then painted with two coats of Geranium acrylic paint. Once that was dry, I applied Bright Red Sparkle Medium with a palette knife............

Once that was completely dry I added a border of Fluffy Stuff at the top, heating it gently to make it swell, & platinum liquid pearls to the top..............

I attached a length of diamond mesh to the bottom with
Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue............

Embossed Bay Leaf

Hello crafters, Kirsten here with a confession.

I’ve been so busy making samples for Friday’s classes that I completely forgot about today’s blog post. So I had a search through the stencil samples I made & found this one. Speedy blog post coming up……….

I dry embossed the Imagination Crafts Bay Leaf stencil with my Big Shot machine. When doing this always remember to put your chosen card/paper on the cutting plate first, NOT the stencil. Layer it the other way round & you will cut the stencil & yes, I speak from experience unfortunately.

I replaced the stencil, offsetting it slightly & applied Adirondack inks through it onto the card. I used Lettuce, Oregano, Stream & Pool.

I stamped the Artemio dragonfly with Black Archival on to the card & again onto acetate. I coloured the acetate on the reverse with alcohol inks & cut out the wings, which I glued to the card.

I added a scribbled border, tiny amount of Blue Sapphire Sparkle Medium & a white organza ribbon.

That’s it, quick & easy.

We’re in the final few days of the current blog challenge, it ends on Saturday night. We’ve had lots of lovely entries so far but there’s always room for more, so if you’ve been thinking about entering, now’s the time.

I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at the classes on Friday & I shall be back here on Sunday with a new challenge.

Until then, happy crafting.

Kirsten.
