Self portrait with wounds

Wanted to face up to the operations, so have been painting the incision scars I currently have.

A record of an event and a time.

Border breaking

A 20 min pose from last Thursday session.

Like how the figure is outside the border at the bottom and behind it at the top. Completely accidental but something I am going to explore some more. A happy accident.

But I also think I have made the torso just a bit too long here.

Always forwards.

20 min Torso

Have posted this on the Life drawing site, but it can lodge a place here too.

Am pleased with the translucence of the paint. Something to work at more. A little overworked as well, so curb it back next time.

Torsos

Been following an idea of the way classical sculptures have been eroded by time/weather/man to the partial forms we see in museums. Of carrying that image across to life drawing.

Not there yet but here are a couple from along the recent way.
