Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hey, hey!

In all the years of blogging, I have never taken such a long hiatus from posting! I do apologize! I am sharing a wintery card today, for the Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! I missed the last one, so I am super excited to play along today.

Using the Deck the Halls stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I created a branch background using several shades of green. I took a bokeh stencil from Hero Arts, and sponged on Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for some interest in the background.

Stamping out the mugs from Lawn Fawn's Love You A Latte stamp set, using Onyx Black Versafine ink, I colored them in with a Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker. After the dried, I die cut each one out, and placed them onto the front of the card.

To finish it, I used the Hand Lettered Holiday set from My Favorite Things, and gold heat embossed it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your blog hop!

Virginia's View Challenge #25

Hello lovlies!

I was able to get crafty last evening, and made a card! Virginia has a great challenge this month, over at Virginia's View Challenge, using stripes or plaid, and having just watercolored these gorgeous flowers from Altenew, decided they need to be put with stripes. Yes, indeed!

I colored these up using Derwent Inktense pencils, and if you follow me on Instagram, know that this is part of a great coloring challenge put on by the talented Kathy R.!

I started by stamping two blooms from Altenew's Botanical Garden set, using Versafine Onyx Black ink. It is a waterproof ink once it's dry, and it won't smear when you water color over it. Once that was stamped, I started coloring!

Using Derwent Inktense pencils, which is a vibrant watercolor pigment, I colored in the flowers. Once the color is dry, it can't be reactivated. Which is great if you're a klutz, and drip water on your projects!!

Once I had cut out my flowers, I stamped my sentiment and adhered a bit of patterned stripe paper, both from MFT, and adhered the flowers with foam tape. I finished it off with a few sequins and drops from Pretty Pink Posh.

Below is the graphic, in case you might be interested in playing along. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #54

 Hello!

I hope you're week is going well! I have the latest Share Joy Challenge to bring you, and it is all about fall! The leaves are slowly fading, and changing color here in Northeast Ohio. How about where you are?

I just love these leaf die cuts, and how much texture you get from curling them up a little after adhering them to the card front. Keep reading to see how I created this card!

I started with a piece of Snow card stock, and the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. Taking a foam blending tool, I applied a liberal amount of brown ink to give it a distressed look. I created a notecard from a piece of Chocolate card stock, and adhered the panel to it at an angle.

To create the leaves, I used the Mini, and Mega leaves die sets, and cut them from watercolor card stock. Taking watercolor paints, I added several layers of pigment, allowing them to dry in between each layer.

I used a piece of vellum, die cut from the Stitched Circle Stacklets, and heat embossed my sentiment onto it, adhering it to the front of the card. I then arranged, and adhered the leaves, as well as gold sequins.

What do you think? Will you give this challenge a try? I would love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #40

Happy Thursday, friends!

I am stopping by to share a card for this weeks Share Joy Challenge! The choices are either the sketch, or the Clean and Simple. I believe we know which way I lean! ;0)

I started with a white card base, and blended in a bit of blue Distress Ink on the bottom portion. I sat that aside while I stamped some of the cute flowers from Oh Happy Day onto a piece of white card stock, using Versamark ink, and white embossing powder

I then added color to the die cuts using the Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered them to the card base using tiny pieces of foam tape, and added a sentiment that was stamped onto a banner shape. I then finished it with a few sequins.

Here is a look at the graphic, as well as the details about how to play along! I hope you'll join us!

June Memory Box Challenge

Hello!

I am here sharing the June Memory Box challenge, and this month it's watercolor! You know my love for this medium, so I decided to use the newly released, Veggie Good stamp set for my project.

I started by stamping my various vegetables onto a piece of watercolor card stock, and painting them in loosely. I then allowed it to air dry. I ran it through my die cut machine using the Cross Stitched Frame Border, released back in January to create a border.

I adhered the panel to a light gray card base, and then white heat embossed my sentiment onto black card stock. I trimmed it down, and placed it onto the card using foam tape.

Check out the challenge over on the Memory Box blog, and play along! I know many of you love to watercolor as much as I do, and I also have a hunch you own a few Memory Box products too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #37

Hello, hello!

I am here to share the newest Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge! I used the fun color combo, along with some fun stamps and dies!

I started by taking the Joe To Go stamp and die set, and white heat embossed the coffee cup stamp randomly on a panel of watercolor paper. I then added washes of yellow, green, and blue paints, allowing them to blend, before allowing it to dry. Once it was, I die cut the cup image, and inserted it into a cup that had been die cut in the panel.

I added the sleeve, as well as a coffee bean, along with the sentiment, which was white heat embossed onto brown card stock.

I stamped the coffee bean image in brown, onto my white card base, and ink blended a bit around the edges, before adhering the panel with foam tape.

We would love to see you join us this week! The details are below!

Share Joy Challenge #32

Hey there, and happy Thursday!

I have the latest Share Joy Challenge to share with you today, and it's a fun one! Wait, they're all fun! I chose the sketch this week. Check it out:

I just adore the Sit & Chat set, and used it on my watercolor panel to create a funky background. I started by stamping the various images in a random pattern onto a piece of water color paper, and colored them in loosely with the  Kuretaki Gansai Tambi watercolor set.

Once the panel was dry, I cut it in half, trimmed a little off, and adhered it with foam tape to a light gray card base.

To finish it, I added a white heat embossed sentiment on black card stock, along with a piece of striped paper, and a big twine bow.

Below is the challenge, and you can choose to do the sketch, or the other side, or both! I do hope you'll join us this week! It is so much fun!

Share Joy Challenge #31

Well hello there!

Thursday, again? It sure is, and I am bringing you this week's Share Joy Challenge! I went all pink and green for this one, using my latest fav from Taylored Expressions, Sit & Chat. Seriously, so adorable.

I chose to use the sketch, and replaced the tag with the sofa and lamp, paper piecing those with a combination of card stock, and patterned paper, and their matching dies. I then took the fabulous Basketweave Cutting Plate, and ran it through a piece of water color paper that I did a couple of washes on.

I laid the negative portion of the background die onto a light gray card base, and reinserted the strips. I tied twine around, along with a sentiment white heat embossed onto vellum. I then added my images with foam adhesive.

So, play along with us! We would love to have you, and you can chose between the sketch, and Tic-Tac-Toe!
