:: Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #53 One More ::

I had a fun idea with my sky and created that earlier this week. Then I didn´t like the rest of the scene and started all over again! Finally this is how it turned out. I lost the daylight when it was time to take photos and I added the card at the last minute. Not my best planning!

For my sky I used Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border Dies and created my own stencil. Then I used lots of different Distress Ink pads and a blending tool. I mounted the Fairys on foam tape and gave the card some sparkles with gold seaquin stars. By adding a gold foil frame I also think it gives the card a luxury feeling and not only a fun colorful card.

It´s so much fun to create backgrounds with this very simple technique! I have tried it with clouds before but here I also made soft hills in green shades.

I will make a tutorial soonhow to do thos backgrounds. For this card I wanted the plane in focus and a very simple background. I never thought I would love different planes that much as I do love this stamp and die set! This card will make a very cute Birhday Card for a birthday girl or boy.

:: Lawn Fawn Friends In The Djungle Card ::

I was inspired by a card Chari Moss created with a silouette image and a colorful background.

First I created a background with Distress Ink and a Blending Tool. Then I bulid my scene with different dies from Lawn Fawn. You need to find images that works with only the die and not the stamp. The little mouse almost look like a monkey here.

Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders

:: ATC with Distress Ink And Stamping ::

I have created some ATC for a swap with flower theme. Instead of making sone with lots of flowers and textures I played with a more clean and simple look.

I started with backgrounds made with Distress Ink a Blending Tool and some water.

Then I stamped my image with black and then the darkest of my background colors.
I wanted to get some kind of shadow effect so I set my stamp a bit off in my Misti before I stamped with my colors.

My supplie list:
Distress Ink Mini Pads
Blending Tool
13arts Heavy Weight Cardtsock
Dylusions Stamp Background Love
Archival Ink Jet Black

:: Tips and Tricks with Ulrika aka LillBlomman #8 ::

It´s so fun to find new ways to use your supplies! I wanted some kind of jungle feeling background for my previous Shaker card. I thought it could be cute with lians in different green shades. Suddenly I came up with the idea of using my Stiched Hillside dies and use the space after taking off the die-cuts as a stencil.

I used different angles of the dies. Make sure to leave some space on your cardstock so that the stencil don´t break.

Use your favorite white paper that works well with Distress Ink and a Blending Tool.

First I used light green shades random over my paper. You want your lians to show and then your background can´t bee too dark.

Use Washitape to make sure that both paper and Stencil don´t move when you add your colors. I started with Forest Moss.

This is how it looks after the first color. But to get a cool jungle feeling you need to add more layers and colors.

I also used Peeled Paint and Moved Lawn. After every layer you move your Stencil to the right and  to the left or even upside down to get the lians loop to different directions.

The next step is to create the frame and box for the leaves. I always use EK Success powder to stop the static on the OH sheets. For this card I will use 3d tape instead of the foam sheet I used on my Shaker Card with three windows.

Now the background is ready for the sloth gang. You find my list of supplies at my prevoius post where you also can see my finished card.

:: Green Valentine Card ::

It was so much fun to take on Lawn Fawnatics last challenge that I wanted to start with the next right away! I played with my Distress Ink Mini Pads and created really simple but cool backgrounds. And to make my super cute images to match the background I colored them all in green.

This is how my green background looks.

And when I was at it I made a whole bunch of backgrounds!

 My list of supplies:
Lawn Fawn Stitched Square small
Lawn Fawn Stitched Square large
Lawn Fawn My Silly Valentine Stamp Set
Distress Ink Mini Pads Twisted Citron
Distress Ink Mini Pads Mowed Lawn
Distress Ink Mini Pads Forest Moss
Distress Ink Mini Pads Crushed Olive
Copics W0, W3
Copics YG03, YG05, YG11, YG13, YG17, YG23

I love to use black as a contrast color. I think it makes the other colors to really pop!
I also used 3d tape under both the black and white squares to get some depth in my otherwise really clean and simple card. I think my card is super cute!

:: CAS ATC with fishes ::

I continued making some onelayer ATC and today fishes are the theme :)

I used 13arts Rainbow Color Duo Pistachio Green and Turquoise for my background. The fishes are stamped with white embossing powder before I added the Rainbow powder. The words are rub-ons from Melaissa Frances. I really like using rub-ons on thos kind of work. I will never get a bad print!

For my blue cards I used same fishes from TGR or Flying Tiger but this time I used black embossing powder. The background are different shades of bue Distress Ink.
I wanted them a bit darker so I dabbed randomly with Archival Ink in black. I used a stamp with bubbles from You Do and also some really old rub-ons in black and white. The words are rub-ons from Melissa Frances. I have a whole box with rub-ons and I really love to use them on my mixed-media projects! I´m so happy that I have a really big pile of them!
