Last week I got 14 hours of exercise. I should take a rest day, but the weather forecast promises rather nice weather for commuting by bicycle.

This morning I walked for 2 h 20 min in the north parts of Sipoonkorpi National Park. My car was the only one at the parking place near Västerhov. I walked to lake Kantorsträsk, and it was somewhat disappointing to find out that a lot of forestry work had been done north of the lake, of the clearcutting type. The landscape had changed a lot, and I got somewhat lost, but that turned out to be a fine thing as I found new routes across the forests and swamps.
I have been thinking about Orange Agent, who can't be trusted with anything, and who can be manipulated to do terrible and unpredictable things without any moral sense. He is such a tiny human being, without any redeeming qualities. It isn't funny any more, it is downright scary.

My left-side leg, hip, arm and palm are somewhat sore from the fall yesterday. I was rather angry with myself for not taking enough care when riding the bicycle. I had slick summer tires, and didn't pay enough attention, and thus I didn't manage to avoid the icy patch on the road in a curve.
Today I went for a walk despite the soreness, starting at 7:30 AM at Vaakkoi. It was sunny and cold. On open swamps the wet snow had frozen under 1-2 cm of lightweight fresh snow. The snow carried a person walking, and I followed a chain of open swamps in the north parts of Vaakkoi, walking for almost 2 1/2 hours.
So far I have got only 7 hours of exercise this week, because of the broken old bicycle. But I'm thinking of exploring swamps also tomorrow.

I have got this year 608 km riding the bicycle, of which 160 km in March. For the night the weather forecast promises 5 cm of new snow, so tomorrow the road conditions will be bad. But soon I expect to get back to the normal routine, which means commuting by bicycle on at least four days each week. That will mean that there will be less walking, and thus less photographs to process. Currently I have over 2,000 photographs waiting on the computer.

On October 3rd I went to Velskola, and walked past lake Pitkäjärvi, circled around lake Kattilajärvi, and returned via lake Vääräjärvi. Autumn colors started to be in prominence.
Today I walked for 2 h 15 minutes at lake Myllyjärvi near Pirttimäki, exploring the nearby lakes and forests. It starts to be near the end of the autumn colors season.
Yesterday I wrote about the problems I'm having with the rear dial of the Panasonic LX100. When using the P mode, the rear dial can activate by itself and change the aperture and speed settings. Well, I realized today that there is an easy cure: switching to aperture priority mode. In fact, aperture priority has been my choice since I bought my first camera, the Minolta XG-1, and I have been using it with the LX3 and LX5. However, last spring I switched to P mode when I noticed that it works quite well on the LX100, making more or less the same choices I would normally be making when using aperture priority. Now the dark season is once again upon us, so it may be easiest to set the aperture ring to f/1.7 and keep it there.

This morning I walked over three hours, exploring the Slätmossen swamp south of lake Meiko. It was calm and there was no wind, so the surface of lakes reflected the autumn colors of trees.

The weather continues to be rather cool, the highest day temperature at +15...+18 °C. It is quite ok, as I'm not keen on having hot weather, but a little bit of warmth would be good once in a while.
These photographs were taken in Nuuksio National Park on May 18th, near Velskola, at lake Pitkäjärvi, lake Kattilajärvi and lake Vääräjärvi.

This morning I walked for two hours, starting before sunrise, not that the sun is visible, as the cloud cover is dense and a little bit of snow is falling.
These photographs were taken in Luukki on December 14th, and they fit the mood.

On March 2nd I had a walk in Luukki, starting from the parking lot near lake Halkolampi, walking past lake Vääräjärvi towards north. It was yet another fine day for walking. But I guess there is no day that wouldn't be good for walking.

This morning the temperature was at +1 °C, and for the night the forecast promises -1 °C. I commuted by bicycle, and should have had a little bit warmer clothing in the morning, but otherwise it was ok. Autumn is now proceeding rapidly.
The photographs were taken on September 15th at lake Vääräjärvi in Nuuksio. A fine day for a walk outdoors.
