New to LK Lovers

Hi there everyone, I have just joined the blog as I want to join in with the SAL and I love LK. Here are a few of my finishes, some still to be completely finished

This is one I finished earlier this year. Love this saying.

This one again I finished earlier this year and will be on my tree this year.

The below will be a pillow for my daughter, all these sayings are sooooo my Hannah

This one I did for an exchange, it is the second time I have stitched it and is such a great little piece

That's it for now folks, but I have joined the Halloween SAL and went through my stash last night (my mojo dissapeared for a while, but it's back.... thank goodness!!) and I found two more Halloween pieces by LK to stitch...........you will just have to wait and see what!!

Great to be with you and Happy Stitching to everyone xx

Hello!

Hello there! My name is Bekca and I've been a reader of this lovely blog for some time, but I decided to join after I saw Angela was setting up a regular L*K stitching night. I thought this was a great idea and wanted to join the fun. I am yet to sort out my first L*K project for the blog, but I know which chart I want to stitch. It's Merry Friends, the Santa design from 2003. I've got the fabric and most of the threads, I just need to get started! I'm planning on doing my start post next Tuesday, look out for it.
So as this is my first post, I thought I'd show my last finished Lizzie Kate project. It is Be Naughty that is finished as a pillow.

Not a very good pillow I should say, but I'm just a beginner when it comes to finishing projects. I've been stitching for about seven years and I'm soon to be off to University in autumn. Come and check out my blog here if you wish to know more. There's pics from my recent Summer Ball in my latest post, see what you think.

Thank you Angela for letting me join this wonderful blog!

Announcing our NEW "Official" Lizzie*Kate Day!

The poll is now closed and it looks like most members don't mind which day of the week it is, so I went with the second highest number of votes.....MONDAY :)

So starting this coming Monday June 27th, feel free to devote the day to stitching any Lizzie*Kate design you choose and then post your progress to the blog.  You do not need to take part every week, I am just hoping that this will inspire myself and others to stitch more of our L*K stash!  Please feel free to post your progress pics as soon as you can.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.  I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of great projects started and finished :)  This will stay postdated to stay at the top of the blog.

Happy Stitching,
Angela

L*K Monday New Start!

After much deliberation, as there were so many I wanted to stitch, I started Santa wants to know. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked, am hoping this week will see much more progress.

Until next Monday, Happy Stitching

Lizzie Kate Monday

This is my first time blogging on L K  Lovers site. I was excited about stitching only LK on Mondays, so Sunday I went thru all my LK stuff and decided which one I wanted to do first. This one was 2005 and so has been in my stash for a while. It came with the fabric so all I had to round up was the thread which I had all recommended weeks and gentle arts threads. Even thought I am not work at the moment Monday was a busy day for me so I did not get to start this until in the evening. Following is my progress so far.

See everyone next Monday
Happy Stitching

Wed.-Monday WIP Lizzie Kate

I am a day late, but I started the ABC's of Aging Artfully on Tuesday. I had to get the fabric and wasn't able to until Tuesday. I am posting my start, very little, but a start. More next week. I love the piece as I am an older person.

Happy stitching,
Joyce C F/TX

New Member

Hello fellow stitchers.  I have been following this blog for some time and decided to join.  My name is Gayle and I am from Phoenix, Arizona.  Boy has it been hot these last few days.  So glad to have a pool and it has been perfect for stitching!!! I love all types of needlework and I enjoy reading. I am a care giver for my grand daughter. I enjoy spending time with all of my grandchildren. I try and post my needlework on my blog and other things that I find interesting. Come and visit if you like and see what I have been working on.  I am also on Twitter as gmpstitches if you care to add me. :)
I am looking forward  to the SAL and love working on the Lizzie Kate designs. I finished a LK piece this month. (sorry for the picture glare) I enjoy seeing everyone's work and I find inspiriation from your finishes. I hope this will get me working on all the charts that I have in my stash.

Karen's Stitching night....

L*K "A Good Night"
stitched with DMC on 18ct aida

My goal last year was to stitch the L*K Santas but only finished four.  Thanks to this weekly stitching night I hope to add a few more to my collection.  I just love this one with the red and white striped nightgown... a nice change from Santa's usual attire.  I am stitching all of them on the same fabric so that they will all coordinate though the finishing may differ between cubes, flatfolds and little pillows.

Thanks Angela for suggesting a weekly stitching night....
See you next Monday!

My L*K Stitching Day!

I worked on 2 projects yesterday, Cinderella (evening stitching) and I just had to start the ABC Halloween too (daytime stitching)!  My Mom bought the kit and I didn't want to buy the extra dyed flosses so I pulled out some DMC colors that scream "Halloween" to me!  I will continue to work on both of these projects this week because all of my Exchange stitching is done up until September so I have loads of time to devote to them.

 ABC Halloween
28ct Mushroom EW
DMC conversions as listed below(My Choices).......

CC Black Coffee - DMC 3371
CC Colonial Copper - DMC 720
CC Frog Legs - DMC 581
CC Mulled Berries - DMC 333
CC Pumpkin Harvest - DMC 721
DMC 3821 - DMC 743
All the others are as listed

Cinderella is Proof Giggle Boxer
28ct Cream EW
DMC alternates

I look forward to seeing every one's projects and progress!  Please feel free to post anytime this week :)

Jingle!

I recently started and finished Jingle. Loved stitching this. I sent it away to be finished into a pinkeep and this is how it came back. Absolutely delighted with it.

Stitched on 14ct Cream Aida
using DMC Threads

Looking forward to L*K Monday - have you all picked a design to stitch on? I am going through my stash today to see what jumps out at me. Can't wait to see everyone's progress.

Until next time, happy stitching

LK Pin Cushions

I thought I would share some little pin cushions I stitched from
some of the motifs from  Spring Alphabet.  I "borrowed" the idea
from Lei who used the motifs in a LK Exchange.   Such a wonderful
idea and really makes the design so versatile.  I did change the colors
to suit my taste and it was a good way to use up some of the fabric in
my stash.  Now I can't wait to add the Summer and Autumn
Alphabets to my stash so I can make some more!

New Designs!

Brand new designs, just recently released!  Which ones do you like?  I love the Autumn Alphabet, Life's a Beach and the new version of Live, Laugh, Love.

Happy Stitching!

12 Blessings of Christmas (Spanish)

I love LK

Monaco Linen 28, DMC threads

Just some projects

I sorted through my Lizzie*Kate stash last night and this is just some of the charts I'd like to challenge myself to stitch on our upcoming L*K Stitching Day!
And this was the first project I started (not pictured above).
I'm stitching it on a 28ct Cream Monaco with the DMC alternates.  I'm not sure how I will end up finishing it, I have a few ideas floating around in my head :)

The polls will close in a few days and I will set up our official stitching day shortly after.  The first SAL will start towards the end of the Summer to give everyone a chance to order the charts/supplies.  I really hope you will join me for both, the more the merrier :)

Hello

Hello, my name is Joy and I live in Texas in the USA.  I love all things stitchy and love love love Lizzy Kate designs.  I am currently working on "A Sister is a Forever Friend" and "Daughters".  I am on my second "A Sister", but here is a pic of the completed one.  I will be finishing it as a flat fold.  Its my first attempt at a flat fold, so wish me luck.  I will post of a pic of the finish soon.

A Sister

I used the recommended fabric but used the DMC alternatives listed.  I have a toddler who loves touching my stitching, so I have to make sure its washable.  Gold fishy hands and stitching do not mix (he he).

I also recently completed "C is for Cure" for the October JCS issue.  It was for my sister-in-law who is recovering from Breast Cancer.  I used 28 count white even weave and the DMC alternatives listed.

I have a few other projects on the go that are not Lizzy Kate that you can view at my blog at My New Perspective.  I should warn you now that I am a terrible speller even with spell check ;).  I am so excited to join this group and look forward to making new friends.

New Polls

I've now created polls for a couple of my new ideas.  Please feel free to vote :)  The polls will stay open for about one week and I will have the results for you shortly after that.

The first idea is to pick a day of the week where we completely devote our stitching time to any Lizzie*Kate project.  We will then all post our progress of the stitching the following day after.  I'm hoping this will help to not only inspire me but others to start stitching up our L*K stash!  I know I have lots of projects that I would love to stitch!

The second idea is to do a group stitch a long.  I have chosen 5 projects that I think would make great choices but if you prefer something else please leave a comment in this post and the majority favorite will win.  There is no set stitching day for this but we will post our progress for each week on a Friday.  You don't have to participate in either of these ideas but I thought it would be fun :)

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at anytime, my email is in the sidebar!

Thanks,
Angela

I'm a new contributor to the Lizzie*Kate Lovers blog and wanted to share some of my finished pieces with you. I've only really started stitching Lizzie Kate designs this year, and I love that there is such a nice variety of designs. Anyway, here are the few I've stitched.
