Finished!

Hello there!
I have finished the two latest Lizzie Kate projects I have been working on. All Things Bright has finally got the seed beads attached so can now be made into a long pillow . . .

And I've finished Merry Friends too! I'm so glad that I'll be able to turn this into a pillow in time for Christmas this year.

I hope you're all having a wonderful week,
Bekca

A couple of finishes!

A couple of recent finishes I had forgotten to share. First up is Halloween flip it stitched using DMC threads.

Secondly is a baby sampler I stitched for my cousin who had a baby girl on Friday stitched on 14ct Aida using DMC threads. I backed it using the fabric in the background.

I enjoyed stitching both of these and have another couple in the pipeline which I hope to show in a couple of weeks when they have been received.

Until next time, happy stitching

It's been awhile

Sorry that I have not posted here for a while. No excuses for me but I do have some thing to show!
On Friday I finished the Jolly Man finally!
I know I use a 32 ct fabric but don't
recall what it was called.
And I used the floss that it called for.
Now I need to get busy and finish
up my 12 Christmas Blessings.
Happy Stitching

Lots of LK Stitching

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last posted, I blame Uni work :)
Here's where I'm up to on All Things Bright, on the home stretch now with only the final motif and the lettering to go . . .

I can't wait to have this finished so I can fully concentrate on my Christmas stitching!
Like this piece, my first ornament for BeckySC's Challenge. I've chosen Lizzie Kate's Merry Friends, on mushroom Lugana with DMC colours. I've made a fairly ok start, more to come soon!

I think it might be time soon to invest in more LK charts, I just love them!
Best wishes,
Bekca

Does anyone want to host for awhile?

Hi Everyone

I've been dealing with a lot of personal stress in my life and I just don't have the time or energy to devote to running this blog right now :(  Is there any member willing to take over from me for awhile?  The only thing you have to do is send invites to new members.

Please let me know at apxstitch@gmail.com.

Many thanks,
Angela

**Please note** I will no longer be hosting any exchanges so instead of only one person being the host I have given every member the capability of looking after the group.   I want to thank everyone for making this group a great place to be and I hope you will all continue to have fun posting your LK finishes!  I will no longer be a member of this group :)  Many thanks, Angela

Joyce's update
Here is my progress on The ABCs of Aging Artfully. As you can see I made it to the third row, letter i.

Carve a Pumpkin

A friend gifted me with her used charts & oh my!!! I won't stitch all of the set, but some really are me...this was one I really really loved....
I was doing a SAL with 3 friends...we could only work on the SAL for 2 days per week. I wanted something quick & easy for the weekend, so I could pick the SAL back up on Monday!
This was what I chose.....it is stitched on PTP 32 ct. Doubloon lugana....

LK ABC Lessons finished......

hi all,
I had forgotten that I was a member of this blog...oh my!! I could have been showing my progress all along, but instead, you can see the finished piece...I am hoping my husband can get a frame made for me this weekend......key word....hoping!!!!
I borrowed the chart from a friend, so I didn't have the flosses it called for. I have LOTS of Victorian Motto Sampler floss, so I subbed them. I LOVE Nancy's colors......
I also changed one word to better suit me....a few people who read my blog spotted it right away....I will leave you guessing.....
I have many more LK's in my very near future......One being the 6 fat men!!! Too cute...
have a great weekend!!!!

FUN IN THE SUN . . .

I recently took part in a stitching exchange which had a Summer holiday theme and this is what I chose for my stitching partner . . .

'Fun in the Sun' stitched on 28~count white evenweave
with my choice of Gentle Art Sampler threads

I added small pink heart buttons on the flip-flops

and backed the pillow with a seaside sand ripple fabric

I wish the warmer weather was still with us in the UK, the leaves are turning colour now and the nights closing in very quickly!

Don't forget the Lizzie*Kate Travelling Pattern ~ Life's A Stitch is now looking for a new home and someone to join The Stitcherhood ~ details are over on my blog and the next person will be chosen on Thursday ~ Good Luck!

Thanks for stopping by
HAPPY STITCHING

12 Blessings SAL update

I haven't stitched as much over the past week. But have still managed another square - yay! Not sure what the white mark is on the green line - must have been a bit of fluff. Its definately not there (after a mild panic attack I had to check :p)

Hope you all had a great weekend :)

Shelley

Hi Everyone!
A small finish to share with you all ~ 'Life's A Stitch' . . .

stitched on coffee stained 28~count Lugana evenweave with my choice of threads to match the finishing stripey fabric and a wooden 'stitched heart' button to complete

The chart for this fun design is a Travelling Pattern and is now looking for its next home!
Its journey was started by your host of this blog ~ Angela and each chosen blogger gets to be part of the Stitcherhood so if you're interested in joining the 'hood' then pop over to my blog http://buttonsstitches.blogspot.com/ and leave a comment on the current post and the next stitcher will be drawn next week!

Just wanted to add that although I'm not taking part in the current SAL, I'm really enjoying watching everyone's WIPS and know there are going to be some lovely finishes at the end of it!

'Till next time
HAPPY STITCHING

update time

On Friday I finished another Christmas Blessing, this makes 5 done

Then on Monday I did not cross stitch at all, I had to have
a procedure done called a Colonoscopy.
Not very fun but necessary in our family. It took a lot out of me
so I slept most of the day after I got home.
I decided that I would make Tuesday my LK day,
but I had my little grand daughter all day so while
watching CSI last night I started a new LK that I have
been wanting to do.

Some done is better than none. I love cross stitching
Santa Clauses!
Happy Stitching everyone!

Monday stitching

Joyce's Update.
I stitched another word on my ABCs of Aging Artfully. slow but sure, will get there.

Onto No.4 - Mon 12th

Hello there! I hope you've all had a great start to the week.
Here's my weekly progress on my LK, All Things Bright. I finished the flag and have moved onto the sunflower. I've changed around a few of the DMCs for the sunflower already, using threads I had in my stash. I think it will still look good when it's all finished.

Just got to finish the sunflower, then the watermelon and the rest of the writing and I'm done! I'm hoping to get this finished before I head off to Uni, but I'm not sure I will.
Can't wait to see what's been stitching up this week, all the best.
