Frugal Friday #3

Hi everyone!

*if you are looking for this week's posts, please scroll down*

Thank you to the three of you who entered my second Frugal Friday challenge...you are all my top 3!
Huge congrats on using your stash ladies, I hope you'll play again this week! :)

So onto this week's card, and the picture of my scraps...

I think I'm getting more, not less!

Did you spot the bits I used? I punched out the sentiment (hiding under a strip of pink card) using the Decorative Label punch, then added the strips of Afternoon Picnic DSP and the fussy cut Stippled Blossoms flower.

I scored either side of each of the strips of DSP to give them a raised look. I CASEs my card from Kate's entry into my first challenge...I really like the way to use the DSP...thanks for the inspiration Kate!

These scraps are left from my Sketch Saturday card this week...do pop back tomorrow to see it.

Sketch Saturday #310 DT card

Hi all!
Today I have my card for this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday.
First, the sketch...

And now my card...

I used Stippled Blossoms and Feel Goods for my card, stamped in Crushed Curry and Wild Wasabi.

Here are close ups of the fabulous flowers from this brilliant 2 step set. These flowers are so easy to stamp using a Stamp-a-Majig. Simply stamp the main flower, then the detail over the top...beautiful!
And here is the whole card...

Do you recognise the same Designer Series Paper as I used in yesterday's card? In case you missed it, I used Afternoon Picnic DSP, this time I distressed the edges with my distressing tool.
This card is a lot less CAS and a lot more fussy than I have been used to lately, but I think I really like it! So much so, I may just make it into a Stampin' Framed!

If you would like details of the products I used today, please see yesterday's post.

If you would like to place an order for any of the current products I have used here, please feel free to contact me, or alternatively you can order direct from my online shop (the link is over in my sidebar>>>)

I am going to be enjoying an awesome day in Telford today at our Regional St5ampin' Up! training...I may even get a sneaky peek of the new catalogue!

Hostess and Hardwood

Hello hello!
How are you? I really hope you are safe and weathered last night's storm ok. Wasn't it vicious?!

It's time for a new challenge over at CAS - Colours and Sketches and it's a sketch...

So here is what I came up with...

After being out of stock due to it's popularity my Hardwood stamp finally arrived this week so I couldn't resist having a play! Isn't it gorgeous?? I teamed it with the fab hostess set Nature's Hello and the complimentary Secret Garden set.

I stamped two sets of leaves onto the card base and added another two die cut sets.
The great thing is that this set is compatible with the Secret Garden Framelits, so I cut the flower out with my Bigshot nice and easily!

I really do like how this card turned out...it has a nice clean, fresh feel about it!

The hostess only stamps are available when you spend £150 or if you host a party with total sales of £150 or more...so if you would like to book your party with me, please do contact me! (And I'll bring the cake too!)

Have a great day!

A card and some cupcakes!

Oh my gosh! I cannot tell you how busy I have been this week! All good, of course, but I shall be glad to get a little break after the weekend! Not that I'm having any time off, but things look a little quieter next week (for now!)

So here is one of the (very) last minute commissions I was asked to make. I got an email Wednesday morning about this card, and it went in the post Thursday morning!

The lady who ordered the card for her husband sent me this quote to work around, so I thought it would look nice in a frame. I created the layout of the sentiment in MDS and printed it in Basic Black. I then cut it out with one of the Hearts Collection Framelits, and then I cut a frame using 2 framelits, off setting them slightly.

The background is embossed with Pretty Print (who says it's just for Christmas?!) and the DSP is the downloadable for MDS Wild Wasabi. I finished with a button made using Simply Pressed Clay and one of the useful moulds. I do love these handmade buttons...they are so light so don't add weight to your card - handy when posting!

If you would like to purchase any of the products I have used here, please do visit my online store where you can also be entered into this month's Mystery Hostess club for your chance to win this month's hostess freebies!

Alternatively, please feel free to contact me with your order, or any queries you may have.

We have our coffee morning at work for Macmillan today so last night I was baking like crazy for it! Here are my treats...

This is one of my Sticky Toffee cupcakes, with Salted Caramel buttercream topping...they really are sooooo yummy!

I found the recipe here. I've actually made about 30 of them!

These are my very easy, and very scrummy Blueberry Muffins.

This recipe was here.

I forgot how much I enjoyed baking...I think I may be doing it more often! Oooops...there goes the diet! ;)

Have a lovely Friday!

Sti[ppled Blossoms for the first time!

Good morning all!
How has your week been? Looking forward to a nice sunny weekend? I will be working, but we've had a wonderful week of sunny afternoons after work, particularly yesterday! My friend Emma and Keiran's second cousin Sophie came round for a bbq and water fight! I got soaked and thrown in the pool by Emma's other half Jamie! Much fun!

Anyway, the reason you're here is for my cards right? So here is a card I made the other night for my friend in Holland who sadly lost her Dad in the last week.

I used my lovely new Stippled Blossoms stamps and my Stamp-a-majig to make sure everything lined up perfectly. I stamped the flowers in Pretty In Pink and Chocolate Chip and the leaves in Wild Wasabi.

The butterflies are from the lovely Papillon Potpourri bundle and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and the new Six Sided Sampler. Did you spot the little butterfly inside the card?

Supplies
Stamps - Papillon Potpourri, Stippled Blossoms, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Six Sided Sampler
Ink - Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi
Punches - Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Label
Ribbon - Wild Wasabi Stitched Grossgrain

Blossom Party!

Hello!
I managed to make another card last night ready for this morning. It took a while to get going as I think my mojo wandered off for a while but it popped up again when I spotted the current sketch at Retro Sketches.

I used Sizzix Blossom Party Originals die and Happy Day stamp set for this card.

I used Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum cardstock and Perfect Plum Ink. It's finished with a few bits of bling!

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, or any of the other fabulous new products, please do contact me and I will be very happy to place your order for you.

Just for you...

Morning all! Here is a quick card I have made for the Less is More  one layer on a coloured card blank week...

I say 'quick'...hmmmm well... I tried a number of ideas and didn't really like any of them, so they got scrapped, but this one I really quite liked! I stamped the flower from the Oh Hello set onto my Bashful Blue card blank in Raspberry Ripple and Wild Wasabi and coloured in the 'white' bits with Rose Red and Lucky Limeade.

I then stamped the sentiment, paper pierced the circle, and sponged Whisper White Craft Ink into the circle.

Supplies
Cardtock - Bashful Blue
Stamps - Oh Hello, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Raspberry Ripple, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White Craft Pad

And......relax!

Good morning!
Here is a card I made yesterday using some stamps I don't use very often, but I really should as they are lovely!

I have used Summer Afternoon Hostess set and stamped it in Soft Suede. I coloured theimage with River Rock, Wild Wasabi and Crumb Cake for a soft look. The papers are from the Subtles Designer Series Paper and I stitched the top of the card for a change...getting adventurous now that I know I can do it lol! I finished some paper piercing around the image and an antique brad. I left it without a sentiment as I couldn't decide on one lol!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Subtles
Stamp - Summer Afternoon
Inks - Crumb Cake, River Rock, Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi
Other - Antique Brads

If you would like to place an order, and receive this stamp for FREE, please do contact me for more information.
