Advent Calendar Window #11

Good Morning Everyone,
Sandy here with Window 11. It's Tuesday today which means we've got a project by DT Member Tina.
Tina loves to use metal on her cards and projects; as she puts it:
"they give the project character and are an essential ingredient for the vintage style".

Today's Christmas Candy consists of the following metal pieces:

 FabScraps Old Filigree Brass Set
2 x Brass Coloured Metal Corners, Landstoken
1 x Metal Flower, Landstoken
1 x Circle Ornament, Landstoken

All you have to do to join in for a chance to win is:
1) Become a follower of this blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on the project.

...and here you can see how Tina used one of the pieces, the Circle Ornament, to decorate a gift bag:

The papers are 1933 and 1923 from Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics Collection.
Tina also used some of LLC's Shabby Seam Binding (Blush Pink), Maya Road's Organza Roses Trim (Cream) and also from Maya Road the Tulle Pleat Trim (Bubble Gum).
The flowers are Poppies, Chrysantemums, and Pink Rolled Roses from Kort og Godt.

WINNER WINDOW #9
The randomly drawn winner of the Maya Road Vintage Dress Form Clips is Julie of Stamps, Papper, Ribbons n Things.

WINNER WINDOW #1
As I haven't heard back from the winner and 8 days now has past since the announcement, I've drawn a new winner of the Kort og Godt Rolled Roses, and that's Penni of Lazy Cats Cards.

Please contact me, Sandy, with your address.

Angels

Hi everyone, Becky here today continuing our Angel week here at Live and Love Crafts.

I've coloured Little Tilda in with distress markers and pads, for her dress I've used Evergreen Bough from the Winter Seasonal Distress Inks. The papers are Victorian Angels from Fab Scraps, I couldn't cover up that gorgeous Angel on the DP. I've covered Tilda's wings with Crystal Glamour Dust, I love how that sparkles.

I've used two flowers of the Dark Chocolate Primrose Organza Trim, and also some of the Oyster Cream Rhinestone Lace behind Tilda.

The roses are from my stash, and the holly has been cut out of some gorgeous gold card I've had an age using a Tim Holtz die. There's also a Prima Fabric Flower, a Chrysanthemum, a Rolled Rose and I've pulled apart a Kort and Godt Berries Decoration. There are also two Berries Pins.

There's still a week left for our Halloween/Autumn colours challenge here.

Hugs,

Becky x

FabScrap Christmas card

Hello all! :)
Karita here with you today with the PINK theme.
My project for this theme is a Christmas card, since I´m also in a Christmas mood like my DT fellow Elizabeth ;)

Actually I made this card specifically for my dear aunt, who is a true survivor! A few years back she was diagnosed with breast cancer. With lots of tears, strength, hope, family support and positive thinking she won over the cancer. Loosing every single hair on her head and other breast, but still she won! :) Now she has all her beautiful hair back and what´s best to all of us relatives, she´s here with us :)
This gorgeous paper from FabScraps is called Stars & Sparkles. The Image was actually cut from this paper and I've added her in the middle of the card :) She´s just so cute :)
I made a huge bow from LLC's own seam binding (this one is expected back in stock in a couple of week's time) and I added this gorgeous pink Vintage Pearl Brad in the middle of the bow. There are also a few white feathers, Crystal Drops and white Scallop Lace Trim.
The Metal Corner was painted with white acrylic paint and Crackle Paint - Picket Fence. And let´s not forget the beautiful Tea Party Doily :)
Thank you so much for looking and don´t forget to join our Think Pink Candy :)

I´m wishing you a lovely weekend :)
Hugs, Karita

Uhmm....Recycle what???

Hi Everyone,
Sorry if you were expecting a post from Karita. It's Sandy here. Friday is the day Karita posts her weekly inspirational project, but as she at the moment is snowed under with her work for the next Magnolia Ink Issue, I convinced her to take this week off.

That did imply though that I had to come up with a recycling project myself...You see I had it all figured out.. Since I usually post on Saturdays myself, and tomorrow is Saturday and the 1st of the month when our new challenge goes live, I was counting on not having to make a recycling project... Hehe; that didn't quite work out for me, did it? :-)

It's not that I'm not a friend of the environment, I am, but when it comes to recycling & crafting...well I find that a bit difficult. There are simply too many NEW beautiful products I like to use.

As Tina and Becky had already used corrugated cardboard in their recycling projects, and that was my only idea I was a bit stumped. I was standing in the kitchen, looking around what I could possibly use when hubby came around. I asked him and he pointed to the nectarines standing on the kitchen counter.

Yeah so there they were in all their glory in a plastic tray with an ugly red plastic ribbon...Great...NOT!!!
...but wait...what about the net???

So this is what I used for:

I shaped it like a flower; it worked out great as the net was elastic, and added some Maya Road Tulle Trim behind it, a few roses, some lace and Pearl String. If you're wondering what that white stuff that looks a bit like frost in the net is, it's Snow-Tex. :-)

You might recall that last week our theme here on the blog was "Christmas with Summer papers". As I already then had had the FabScraps Christmas papers delivered, I was very tempted to use them instead...but that would have been cheating, so I did stick with the theme. This week I finally got to have a play with them though. :-) This is the beautiful sheet "Little Children".

Here's a close up of some of the details:
In the large picture, you can better see the effect of the Snow-Tex on paper, and I also used one of the new Christmas charms, Santa's Sled. To decorate I used some red berries from my stash, the Jute Fabric and Baker's Twine. The sentiment is from LOTV and also for this one, I used the fruit net, together with some Jute Fabric and Cheese Cloth.

That's all from me for today; hope to see you tomorrow, when our September challenge kicks off!

Oh...one more thing...yesterday I was busy entering the new Pion Design papers " Silent Night"  onto the system (YES I have both the 12" and 6" complete collection in stock and available for ordering), so I didn't get around to announcing the Merry Monday Winner.
A winner has been drawn though and that lucky person is....

Sanne from "Sannekreativ". Congratulations!
Please contact me by noon Sunday with your address, so I can send you the Prima Vintage Trinkets.

Hugz,
Sandy
