you make me smile

Challenge today is to use a heart on your project
Which was perfect for me
I found This pattern paper at TJ Maxx
DCWV Madly in Love stack for $5.97
card base is from Wild Card
then a circle and heart from George & Basic shapes
I use Back to school Emma love her little heart necklace
made a little twine bow with a button
stamp is from Hero Arts
the twine curl is something I saw this weekend at
Bee took a pencil covered it with wax paper
put glue on her twine twisted it
around the pencil and let it dry.
My craft room is in the basement and I was
all set and realize I forgot the wax paper upstairs
not want to go back up I looked around for what else I could use
I spotted my supply of plastic knitting needles
used that worked perfectly plus I have little and big sizes
to make different size curls

Hope everyone has a rewarding week

Happy 4th

Guess I am not as techie as I thought because last night worked to schedule this to post today at 1 EST....
got to the airport to pick up my daughter's college room mate and nothing UGH!
Her friend is visiting from Austraila and of course they lost her luggage.
We wait for quite a while but finally they said someone would bring it tomorrow.
Got a little dinner and now home at last...don't you love how life gets in the way?

Thanks to Sheri at My Sheri Crafts
for asking me to be a guest designer a true honor for me. She ask for a 4th of July card
I don't know why but I really struggled at first but happy with the way the card came out

The card started with a A2 Base
First mat Papertrey Ink Vintage cream
Second mat from Basicgrey Lemonade 6x6 stack
Main layer from FancyPantsDesigns
I used Tim Holt's distresser on all the edges
And inked them with Dune by Color Box
the stars on the left were done on my
Gypsy WildCard page 69 I hide the inner star
So the stars would cut solid
Cut them out of navy DCWV at 3.75
And DCWV Christmas glitter mat stack 3.50 I also use this to cut the 4th and background
I dabbed some red stickles on the stars and smeared it around for some sparkle
Happy 4th is from SVG cuts Made in the USA collection
I cut this from a scrap and inked it with Dune
The ribbon is some I tea dyed and crinkled myself
Some buttons from my jar and a little faux stitching
