Thanksgiving often brings a reflection on our lives, blessings, and people that enrich our everyday. The sentiment from PTI's Birds and Blooms set captures the feeling of thanks and I pass that onto you my online crafting friends. Thanks again for your friendship, kind words, and being around to share in all this crafty fun!
Wreath is from Birds and Blooms and color inspiration is from ColourQ.
Thanks again for taking a peek. Have a great weekend!

Many Birthday Wishes
Tis the beginning of the holiday season but I'm making birthday cards! Many birthdays coming up in the beginning of 2014 so I want to be prepared.
This first card uses the fun colors at ColourQ this week. The color palette is quite bold since I didn't use any neutrals on the card. But I think the chevrons pair nicely with the bold colors for a teenage birthday card.
This next card is much softer in tone and pairs my two favorite supplies - Lil Inkers stitched rectangles and PTI Mums the Word stamps. I was inspired by the sketch challenge at RetroSketches this week but missed the deadline for posting. :(
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a relaxing weekend up ahead. Thanks for stopping by!

Dynamic Duos #80
I loved this Triple Threat Trio at Dynamic Duos so much this week that I had to try it again. This time I used it for a retirement card for a friend. She's retiring next week and then heading on a long trip to her native Philippines. I thought it would be fun to pair these colors (PTI Simply Chartreuse, Scarlet Jewel and Sweet Blush) with the fun flip flops from the PTI Flipping Out set which I only seem to use in the summer. I stamped my sentiment on the fabulous new Diagonals die from Lil Inkers. (Thanks Joyce for the heads up on its release! Its already sold out so glad I moved fast!)
I also decided to include an additional sentiment and flip flops on the inside too.
I'm so glad I've been getting some crafting time in this week despite the holiday. After chairing my daughter's book fair for the last two weeks and being so busy trying to juggle everything, I realized how much I missed creating things. It really does calm me and make me happy.
Hope you are able to get some crafty time in too. Thanks for taking a peek.
Triple Threat Trio
The Dynamic Duos Challenge this week presents a cool new spin - the Triple Threat Trio - which adds an additional color to their challenge. Fun! I was pretty excited when I saw these colors as they are among my favorites.
As you may have seen here before, I am giving the gift of wine a lot this coming holiday season so I'm in need of pretty tags to go along with them. Here's a tag I made using the PTI Holiday Cheer stamp set in the Triple Threat colors. I LOVE this set because its so modern and graphic and it goes so well with these non-traditional holiday colors. I stamped the trees in PTI Simply Chartreuse and added dots on the trees in PTI Scarlet Jewel and Sweet Blush. I also added in a few green and pink rhinestones to jazz it up. The sentiment was stamped below in black and all the other colors as well.
Thanks for stopping by during this busy week!

ColourQ Challenge #216
Its Thanksgiving this week and a great opportunity to tell people how thankful we are for them in our lives. I'm thankful to all of YOU who follow and read my blog, whose comments make me smile, and who constantly inspire me with your gorgeous creations. Thank you!
The gift season has come upon us! As a special thanks this Thanksgiving week, I made a wine bottle tag to go along with a bottle we plan on giving one of my daughter's teachers. Two of my girls have had her and she's been such a great influence on them.
For this tag, I used Papertrey's Might Oak set and stamped the leaves in Orange Zest and Spring Rain and the trunk in Kraft. Added a little sentiment banner in mustard. Colors inspired by this week's ColourQ challenge.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you are able to spend the day relaxing with your family and friends. Thanks so much for stopping by.

ColourQ 215 and CAS-ology 70
Its been a busy week but glad I was able to make two cards.
For this week's ColourQ challenge I decided to do something different with these very fall like colors. I used PTI's Snowflake Flurries paired with my new Simon Says Stamp Be stamps and die. I covered the die cut Be in glossy accents for a bit of shine and scattered some coordinating Kelly Purkey sequins. Think I'll be using this BE set a lot....the accompanying sentiments give it lots of versatility.
Next card is for this week's CAS-ology challenge - TRIANGLE. I just created THIS card using triangles last week so wanted to do something different. Really don't have many triangles in my stash so I went back to my tried and true set - PTI Sketched Shapes. I paired it with a sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Dream in Color set. I stamped the word color in a few inks hoping to emphasize some of the colors I used on the triangles.
Hope you are having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Something Old
Here's a card I made for the Dynamic Duos challenge this week which uses two subtle colors - kraft and artichoke. For this one I dug out some old supplies that I haven't used in forever so it actually felt new. I die cut PTI's Tree Tops out of Memory Box Kraft cardstock and stamped the trees in Ripe Avocado. I cut the landscape using PTI In The Meadow dies and stamped one of them with the Bitty Background Blocks II in Ripe Avocado. I tucked the trees in and popped one up with foam squares to create depth. Sentiment is from Mama Elephant's Many Thanks set.
Hoping to get some more crafty time in but I'm organizing the book fair at my kids school this week so its been tight.

OLW 165
Ardyth's One Layer Wednesday challenge was a fun one this week. Challenge is a one layer holiday card using no red or green colors. Tough one for me since I'd have to use non-traditional colors and I don't have many holiday stamps.
I created a tree using PTI Tiny Triangles in Blueberry Sky and Spring Rain with its base from PTI Live Love Life in Memento Tuxedo Black. I embossed the star and part of the sentiment in silver. Sorry for the colors in the photos....its raining a lot here in Jersey and couldn't get good light.
Thanks for taking a peek.

ColourQ 214 & CASology 69
When this week's CAS-ology cue card BROWN was revealed, I instantly thought of coffee which I happened to be drinking at the time. Coffee is my saving grace each day. I can't live without it. Believe me I tried! Anyway, coffee led me to the PTI Latte Love set which has yet to see ink. I heat embossed the stack of cups in American Crafts Chestnut and colored them in with Copics. My color inspiration is from colors at ColourQ this week. They worked perfectly with the look I was going for. I layered the banner with brown cardstock that I dry embossed for some contrast. Added a little canyon clay banner peeking from the bottom as well.

Happy Birthday Tracey!
I'd like to wish Tracey McNeely of In My Creative Opinion a very wonderful birthday! Your blog and cards are always so inspiring - you may have noticed that I CASE'd more than a few of them! The sweet comments you leave on my blog make me smile. And hope you like black velvet cupcakes (just like traditional red but even extra chocolately!) because I'm having one today in your honor.
Glad your family is all home to help you celebrate. Have a amazing day Tracey and enjoy your virtual birthday party!
If you want to check out the fabulous party that Joyce has organized on her blog, click HERE. You can join in on the fun and make a card too.
I'm also linking this card to this week's Seize The Birthday challenge.
