OLW 165

Ardyth's One Layer Wednesday challenge was a fun one this week. Challenge is a one layer holiday card using no red or green colors. Tough one for me since I'd have to use non-traditional colors and I don't have many holiday stamps.

I created a tree using PTI Tiny Triangles in Blueberry Sky and Spring Rain with its base from PTI Live Love Life in Memento Tuxedo Black. I embossed the star and part of the sentiment in silver. Sorry for the colors in the photos....its raining a lot here in Jersey and couldn't get good light.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Speechless Again

The Speechless challenge at One Layer Wednesday has gotten me thinking....and I just had to make another card! I was trying to come up with ways to add interest without bulk. So my card features an embossed frame around my stamped image. I also used a touch of stickles for the champagne glasses and floating bubbles. I love the effect of both - simple and elegant. Again, hoping the message is coming through without words!

As always, thanks for taking a peek.

Paper: Neenah White

I'm playing along with One Layer Wednesday this week and the theme is SPEECHLESS. That means no sentiments, in essence completely speechless plus the added challenge of no layers. Seems easy huh? Hmmm, not so much. It was pretty hard create something that conveys a message completely without any words.

Here's my first card where I created a little scene which I hope conveys a 'have a great summer', 'have a great vacation' or maybe even 'relax'

Thanks so much for stopping by!
