Artful INKables

I have finally found the time to get my post up for this week.  Sorry it's later than usual but at least it's up the same day :)

I really wanted to showcase the Epic set still and decided to show you a non-twilight themed card, so I went with clean and simple.  I like how this card turned out, it's subtle but elegant.

Enjoy!

Freebie Friday at Bugaboo

I won't have a post for you until later on tonight but in the meantime the Bugaboo shop has 2 new digi freebies for you to download.

And there are more that go with these adorable freebies that ou can find for sale in the shop. Before you run over to grab the freebies, take a peek at what our DT did!   Make sure you visit their blogs and leave some love!!

So goodbye yellow brick road....

Where the dogs of society howl, You can't plant me in your penthouse, I'm going back to my plough.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite songs from Elton John.  When Lindsay asked the design team to create a card using a song as our inspiration, I really didn't know what I was going to do.  So I started going through the images and when I saw this one from Funky Forest, I couldn't stop singing that song.  I then googled it and saw the album cover and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

So using the colors from this picture:

 and made this acetate card:

The card was actually pretty simple.  The acetate was a piece of printed 12x12 that I got in a kit and really had no idea what I was going to use it for.  I added the image on the back of the cover so it was showing through the front and then added a couple rub-ons.

Easy peasy :)  Now hop over to the other DT members and see what they have for you today.

Critter Sketch Challenge #8

Wow it is so hard to believe that we are already up to Challenge #8, where did the time go?
So this week the challenge was to follow this sketch and to use gingham somewhere on the card, whether it was paper, ribbon or on the image itself.  It is totally up to you but it has to be present :)

this was the sketch:

and here is my card, it uses Pretty from Victoria Case:
