Supplies:

Cosmo Cricket Cardstock (10 1/2x 12)
Cosmo Cricket Journaling patterned paper (sentiments are to be cut out)
Black Cardstock (enough to make 3 4 ¼ x 5 1/2 cards)
Inkadinkado Stamp (Michael’s)
Ribbon(Michael’s)
Black Ink (CTMH)
Silver Thread (any craft store)
Mark Richards Felt Stickers
Rhinestone
Black Stickles

Instructions for the Card Holder (taken from allenjeni.blogspot.com):

• with the paper 10 1/2" wide, you are going to score it at 4 1/2" and 6 turn the paper to 12" wide, and score at 6" and 10 1/2"
• for the diagonal measurements, starting at the 6" line, go up 2 1/2" on each side and mark, then to to the top of the template and mark 3/4" on either side of the center 1 1/2" and draw your diagonal and cut on that line.
• cut all the red lines, and score the green lines.
• for the green lines in the middle of the 4 1/2" line, just simply cut the lines and then bring the outside edges into the scored 1 1/2" line, and give yourself a nice strong fold

Add your adhesive (I'd recommend sticky strip/tacky tape or something strong like that), at the edges of the 4 1/2" cut marks. Then fold the bottom 1 1/2" up and attach the long right and left rectangular side pieces, one side a time to the inside 1/2 of the square--then once you've attached it, you'll fold the the rest of the square over, and your middle score line will be a lovely clean edge. Then do the same on the other side.

Now, take a piece of cardstock, about 1x4", and score it at 1 1/2 and 3", just making a piece to put on the front of your box. (With the paper being 12", the front is about 1" shorter than I wanted it to be, so you can add a contrasting strip of paper to make it match the height)

Now, put your adhesive on the back portion that you'll be folding over to make the holder. You'll want to put it a strip on the outermost edge, maybe one in the center, and then one right on either side of the middle 1 1/2" scored lines.
Now add you patterned paper and decorate or just leave plain cardstock!
Embellish as desired.

All remaining materials were used to make the cards.

Gable Box

I was very excited when asked if I would be on the design team for the Consultant's Wholesale club. This month our first box of "goodies" arrived and were to be halloween themed for the upcoming sale. If you see what you like, go to CWC and sign up....you will NOT be disappointed!!

Supplies:

Cosmo Cricket pattern paper
Crystal Stickers Mosaic tiles
Recollections Stamp (Michael’s)
Black ink (CTMH)
Ribbon (Michael’s)

Instructions for the Gable Box:

Step 1: Score 11” side of cardstock at 1/2", 3 1/2", 5 3/4", and 8 3/4".

Step 2: Score the 8 1/2” side at 3" and 6 1/2".

Step 3: Cut each score line up to the intersecting score line to create flaps as shown.

Step 4: On one edge of the card stock, you’ll have 1/2” flaps. Cut off the two 1/2" flaps on the ends, leaving the center flap.

Step 5: Place Sticky Strip™ on the 1/2" flap. Be sure to place the adhesive strip on the front (stamped) side. Leave the liner on the adhesive.

Step 6: Place Sticky Strip™ on the other flaps as shown to create interior sections of the box. Leave the liner on the adhesive.

Step 7: Center punch over panel and push the cardstock all the way into the Wide Oval punch to create handles for the box.

Step 8: Use the corner rounder on the corners of the handles.

Step 9: Peel the liner from the 1/2" flap on the side of the box (mid section).
Fold the box into shape so that the ends meet the adhesive. If necessary, fold the flaps out of your way.

Step 10: Peel the liner from the side flaps and adhere them to the interior sides of the box for added stability.

Step 11: Remove the liner from the bottom flaps. Fold in the two smaller flaps and then adhere one of the longer flaps to the smaller flaps. I fold in the flap that’s on the side where the seam is so the front of the box will be seamless. Fold the remaining flap into place.

Step 12: Decorate the front of the box. Use the Crop-a-Dile™ to punch holes for the ribbon closure or just tie ribbon to the box.
