Tricolored Heron at Lake Seminole Park

I have really tried to research this one. Hope I am right. His legs look different in different photos. In some of the photos each leg even looks different. While we there I thought this Heron acted differently than the Great Blue.
The way he flew around was different.
Notice he is belly deep in the water.
He looks like he is running across the water.
He just drops long enough to make his catch.
Then he is gone again.

Notice his legs in this last photo. I used my reference books and went to several sites on line. The legs look so different in different photographs, even on the same sites.

Gulls fishing

I hope you can enlarge this so you can this. As the birds would dip close to the water the fish would jump out of the water all at once. You can see the ripples in the water.
These were taken at the same time as some of the earlier post. We were at the end where the people go to fish.

Various Brown Pelicans in flight

Just some photographs of Brown Pelicans in flight.
On a mission across the shoreline.
This last one he must have been fixing to dive for the fish.

Great Blue Heron at St Pete's Beach

These photographs of the Great Blue Heron were taken in the same general location of the Snowy Egret photos.

Snowy Egret at St Pete Beach

This Snowy Egret was at the end of St Pete Beach where people go to fish.

He was fishing too, I just didn't capture a photograph in action.

White Ibis at Lake Seminole Park

This was the first time I had seen White Ibis. These were taken in June when we were in St Pete Beach, Florida.
We have started going over to Seminole Park in Seminole, Florida. We see a new bird everytime we go.
We hope that will happen again this trip.

The last is a collage of the White Ibis washing themselves in the edge of the water. You will need to click to enlarge to be able to tell much about it. There was a whole lot of these, so I decided the collage was the best way to use them.
