Jillibean Soup | Introduction...

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to share a few creative projects from the Jillibean Soup blog last week.

These projects are a combination of goodies I had in my stash (some - like the corrugated chocolate alphas - are VINTAGE!!!) and some are fairly recent collections.

"Glamorous"

Peapod Parts are always a fun item to have in my stash! And I certainly had fun with this design! Apart from the Soup Staples II/navy salt patterned paper, the rest of the layout is all Happy Hues, Alphabet stickers and Peapod Parts.

 "In Every Today"

The Shaker Cards from Jillibean Soup are simply divine!! I created this quick and easy card with strips of patterned paper and a cloud full of gems!

If you get  the chance, please visit the Jillibean Soup blog and share some love! Thanks for visiting..x

Pebbles Inc | Heart of Home layout...

Hey there friends! I'm just trying to get this blog up and running once again! Life keeps interfering and it is a struggle to even get to the computer at times! LOL! But here I am, starting over. Again. :)

Today I have a share using the Pebbles Inc Heart of Home collection. I think I fell in love withthese patterned papers, almost instantly! *sigh*

My first project was to create a layout featuring my crazy kids!

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Pebbles Inc Heart of Home; embellishments - Pebbles Inc Heart of Home label stickers; enamel dots. other - machine stitching, typewriter.

The flowers were all fussy cut and adhered to allow the edges to lift from the page.

Machine stitching added an extra detail while the gold foil labels help to draw the eye across my layout.

You can see more details and read about my thought process to creating this layout on the Pebbles blog, here. Thank you for visiting..x

Bella Blvd | Design Team Dream!

Hello lovely friends! I wanted to pop into my poor little blog and share my exciting news! Bella Blvd kindly invited me back for another term and I cannot express how excited and grateful I am for this continued experience!

BB20152016_CreativeTeam_announcement

I love Bella. I truly do! I think I must be sort of like furniture there even though I am an entire ocean away from everyone else ... or I used to be until my dear friend Gail joined the team for this term as well! Yay! In fact, have you looked at the announcement above??! Holy Cow!!! The talent included is amazing + me! LOL!  the whole team. yep. I'm dreaming!

Anyway.. Here's a little sample of what I got creative with for the intro post over at Bella Blvd today.

"Bucket List"

products used: cs - American Crafts; PP - Bella Blvd: Let's Go & Molly; alpha - Bella Blvd tiny text; embellishment - Bella Blvd: Let's Go paper pieces, enamel hearts, stickers, cute clips. other - paint; tools - typewriter.

Yeah. At 6 years of age, this boy has a bucket list for travel! And it is in a specific order too!

1. Africa (to see the wild elephants)
2. China (because it's where his adoptive cousin was born)
&
3. Tasmania! (because.. why not travel to the southern part of Australia!)

Thank you so much for visiting. Please find the time to pop on over to the BB blog all this week to see the new team in action. I, once again, cannot wait..x

Jillibean Soup | Scoot...

Hello Friends!  Today I am sharing a layout that involves both Jillibean Soup and Bella Blvd!!  How lucky am I to be on both design teams!  I still pinch myself. honest.

As a member of the Jillibean Soup DT, Bella Blvd challenged us to use the new clear cut confetti transparencies!  I love these!

Here's what I came up with..

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Jillibean Soup; Bella Blvd - Clear Cut Confetti Pickle Juice; Alpha - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: label stickers, sequins, file cards, enamel stars; tools - typewriter, stapler.

I decided to create a double banner with the clear cuts layered on top of the patterned paper. I also didn't want both layers to be the exact same size to add that extra level of dimension to the layout.

Each piece was stapled together before being adhered to the page.

This page was also a great way to use up any leftover bits and pieces that I had lying about from the Cool As A Cucumber Soup; a perfect collection for scrapping your boys!

Thanks for visiting.

Bella Blvd | Design Team Introduction Week...

Hey there!  Just a short and sweet note to let you know there's a "get to know you session" happening over at the Bella Blvd blog this week.  Stephanie, Laura and the team are welcoming the new dt for 2015.

I am absolutely honoured to have been invited back for a third term with Bella BLVD.  When I love something, I truly stand by it! Honest!

I am also grateful that Bella Blvd has given me so much opportunity to share my passion of documenting my personal family history. And in such a creative way too!

These layouts were the very first Bella Blvd creations I ever produced.  My initial DT application waaaaay back in 2012.

As you can see... very little product (it was so hard to obtain in Australia back then) and not the most ideal of photography! *grin*

To date, I can happily say, I have shared some of my favourite pages because of Bella BLVD goodies.  I have even said to Stephanie, I don't know how she's tapped into my brain. Because it is exactly as if she designs her brand for me to create tailor made projects! LOL!  Obviously that is NOT the case.  But whatever works right?!

There's been some amazing talent on this team over the past two seasons.  I have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know each of these fabulous designers. And even though it is hard to say goodbye sometimes, I now look forward to learning and growing with a new bunch of creative people. Please head on over to Bella Blvd this week and become acquainted with these wonderful ladies.  Thanks for visiting with me..x

ps - maybe that wasn't such a short & sweet note after all!!!!

I'm a JOT Girl!

Hello Friends!  I am so very excited to share some scrappy news with you (although it is not so much a secret any more! lol).  I am very honoured to say I will be a part of JOT Magazine's design team for 2015.

Kim Archer contacted me and asked if I would like to be a part of the team and I may have been really, really enthusiastic with my response! *grin*  However, I am not only a Jot Girl but Kim has asked if I would like to be a part of a select group of three to concentrate on Project Life! OH MY GOSH!  I am still picking my jaw up off the floor.  These ladies, Petra Corcoran and Beshka Kueser, are ah-maz-ing!!

The talent on this team overall is astounding and I can only hope to keep up with these inspirational ladies.  But I am also very aware of the incredible creative talent who became the 30 finalists - yes, there were two rounds for the selection process.  These ladies had to have made Kim's choice incredibly hard.

So once again I am thankful for these humbling opportunities and grateful for the chance to continue sharing my family's stories on paper.

Thankyou for visiting..x

Hello Friends! Just wanted to share with you the latest designer challenge the Jillibean Soup DT were issued for the month of July! Triangles!!

"Dashing & Daring"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup (Cool as a Cucumber); alpha - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: peapod parts; tools - machine stitching, typewriter, foam tape.
