Happy New Year….

only 13 days late! I guess I am not very good at this blogging thing! I haven’t given up just yet, and I will try to do better this year.

We are on snow day number 4 here. We got around 8 inches if snow last Sunday night. That is A LOT of snow for down here. We haven’t had this much snow since the “Great Blizzard of ‘93”. One inch of snow is enough to shut the whole town down for a week, and send everyone into a panic. We haven’t been able to get out of the house all week so to keep from  going insane I have been doing some painting. I don’t have any pictures yet, but I will have to take some of my new “office”. It is really just a small closet, but it is where I keep my computer. It is now a light blue with polka dots! I am loving it. It makes the small space so bright, and cheerful. I still have to hang some new shelves, but when I get it all together I will share some pictures.

Holiday Boutique!

Just wanted to share some pictures from the holiday boutique open house that my sister and I did yesterday. If you see anything that you like just email me. She makes custom personalized children’s clothing, bags, purses, key fobs, towels, scarves, Christmas Stockings, and lots of other things. I make the American Girl clothes, quilts, stuffed animals, toys, superhero capes, doll clothes, and more.

Still Here

 

I have been doing a lot of this lately. Things will be a little slow here for a bit. I am working non stop to get some quilts, and AG clothes made for a Christmas open house that is coming up really soon. Not to mention we are also building SJ a new dog house, putting down new wood floors, and a million other projects all at the same time! I will be back soon with lots of pictures, and new things in the shop!

Country Living Fair

This weekend was the country living fair in Atlanta. We spent a couple of days in Atlanta in Stone Mountain park. It is a beautiful park, and we haven't been over there in years.

There were so many beautiful old quilts. I wish I could have brought them all home with me.

This lady was blowing glass. They had a tent full of beautiful glassware. Our favorite were the ornaments and pumpkins. They have glass blowing demonstrations daily in Stone Mountain Park. If you live near Atlanta you should check them out. My nieces loved watching them work. We had to drag them away!

We enjoyed watching this man turn pewter on a lathe. You can see his work on his website http://www.villagepewter.com/index.htm .

The fair was a lot of fun, and we can't wait to go back next year. Stone Mountain Park is really beautiful this time of year.

Crazy Dog

Good Morning! Anybody else have to clean today? I sure do. Everytime I walk out to my backyard I am reminded of this Marmaduke cartoon. Our Great Dane/Lab puppy collects everything she can get into her mouth, and either chews it up or hides it. She drives us crazy, but we love her anyway!

Freebie Friday!

Hey Ya'll! I am still working like crazy to get some new things in the shop. I do have a little digital scrapbook freebie for you today. This little alphabet has been sitting here on my hard drive for way to long so I decided to share it. I hope you can find a way to use it. I used it on this layout of my nieces to add just a little bit of color, but I also love to use it to add a monogram to my layouts.
