Snowman Fun!

Last week it snowed.
Quite early this year.
After a long, warm fall, we found ourselves freezing and wearing gloves.
I'll never get used to cold weather...

It seems that this year I fell the urge to use all my forgotten stamps to make at least one Christmas card before Christmas.

Inspired by our recent snowfall and by the theme of some challenges I've found, I've created this card:

I've chosen a funny digi stamp called Snowman's Laundry Line from The Stamping Boutique. I wanted the outfit to be the focus of the card so I've chosen papers in soft tones with discreet patterns.

I'd like to enter the following challenges (hoping that a snowman's outfit and some melted snow mean "snowman"...):
City Crafter Challenge # 139: Snowman Fun (and I think this image is really funny!)
ABC Challenge # 8: Let It Snow

Pretty Christmas Trees

Oh! How posh is this girl while making her Christmas tree?

She is Princess Jennifer Latte Decorating the Tree from The Stamping Boutique and she's a favourite of mine! I made a few cards last year and I had to make one this year too!
She inspires me to work with pinks and non-traditional colors, glitters and everything pretty!!

I've recently won a few stamps from The Stamping Boutique over at the ABC Christmas Challenge and, of course, I treated myself with a new Jennifer Latte digi! I hope to have time to make it before Christmas!

This card is for the following Challenges:
The Stamping Boutique Challenge # 61: Holiday Cards
Whimsy Stmps Challenge # 54: Anything Goes so Long as It's Festive
Fab'n'Funky Challenge # 150: Non-traditional Christmas

Another Card by My Daughter

My daughter is not one of those kids who cannot live without going to the park each day. On the contrary, I often struggle to go out and do something outside.
She loves to stay at home: she plays, she reads and she creates.
I guess that such busy winters with school, plus swimming and dance lessons leave the place to lazy summers when she can live at her own pace.

The fact that she loves creating is a pleasure for me because we create together and now she needs less help (but more supplies...) to finish her projects. We chat together and generally she asks for advice but she doesn't show me her creation until the very end.

Last week she had a great fun creating her Piggy Bank card so she wanted another challenge and I found one for the kids with a perfect theme.

She made this card:
The theme of the Challenge isSUMMER and she had a look among my digis from The Stamping Boutique and chose this one.
The only suggestions I gave her were the sentiment and to add some details in 3D.
I printed the digi and cut the card, that's all.
I love her coloring and the detail she adds: she now has her own rhinestones and glitter so she can use plenty of them without listening to my mumble mumble...
She drew a motorcycle and added a piece of cord as if the motorcycle pulled the sign.

This card is for the following challenges:

A Girly Christmas

After trying with Red & Gold for Christmas, I went back to my fav colors: pinks and greens with a touch of red. Most of my Christmas cards this year have these colors. I love the fresh, girly and happy sensations they give to my cards!

This morning I was hopping from blog to blog and I ended in a lovely blog with a lovely card made with a lovely stamp. I immediately followed the link (I apologise but I cannot remember the blog name, I lost it while browsing through the newly discovered store).

The store is Annabelle Stamps an Australian Company which sells cute stamps and craft goods. I already put some of their stamps in my wish list, as soon as I have some funds I'll surely be back to buy some.

Of course, they have a blog Annabelle Stamps Blog and a Challenge and... the theme this week is: "Say it in... Pink, Green and Kraft and... voilĂ , I made this card:

I had colored this Jennifer Latte digi stamp from The Stamping Boutique yesterday, while waiting for my daughter's dance lesson. I wanted it to be girly, really girly and pink and... girly! This morning I still had no idea on how to make the card with it but when I saw the Challenge theme I knew it was perfect!
I made the card with green textured cardstock, added a Papermania patterned paper and used some craft paper behind the stamp colored with Copics and embellished with tons of glitters! A luxurious satin bow and a lilac bell add the final touch.

I love how it turned out!
