Clear out

Do you remember when you remember when you first started making cards? I started December 1, 2000 after taking a class at Nash's in Glasgow and have LOVED it ever since. But I have accumulated more stash than I could possible EVER use. You know when you see something, love it, buy it, get it home and think 'now what?' Well I've been threatening to have a clear out for years now and the other day after tripping over yet another box in my over crowded craft room (it started out 10' x 10' and I swear it's about 3' x 3'!) I thought now is the time. I decided to start with my beloved Stampin' Up stamp sets. I have 3 drawers full plus more in boxes and the embarrassing thing is most haven't seen ink! Some sets are ink free, some with only one or two stamps inked.

I have set up a new page at the top called (funnily enough) $tampin' Up For $ale. Click on that page and you will see some current sets that are in the 2012 catalogue as well as some from as far back as 2002! If there's a set that you wish you had bought but it retired before you got the chance it could well be there. I do have more sets that I have to dig out and will add as and when. If there's anything that tickles your fancy email me at ladybugcraftsink@aol.com (better to start an email than click on the link)

Eventually there will be more pages dedicated to other crafty stash such as Sizzix, Quick Kutz and many more. My aim is to restore my craft room to at LEAST 8' x 8' lol.

Hey...

{hanging head} I never managed to post yesterday...the first Tuesday (from memory which isn't always reliable) since starting TLT 18 months ago I've missed. I know we've gone fortnightly but I still want to post on a Tuesday. I had the afternoon from hell yesterday...EXTREMELY frustrating. To make myself feel better I broke the MOB (mother of the bride) diet and had a tiny piece of chocolate. It wasn't my mostest favourite chocolate so didn't have the desired effect which made the break worse {sigh}

Oh well, today is another day and apart from getting my hair caught in the car door which was slammed shut by the wind (potential decapitation!) it hasn't been too bad :-D The best part of today has been my Wii finally being set up so I can get started on my MOB body beautiful lol. These things always fascinate me...that fact that someone is clever enough to think of these things then make them work is just mind boggling. I'll let you know how I get on :-D

I'm just on quickly (honest) to show you the card I made for my cyber friend who lost her MIL recently. This is my most favouritest SU! stamp set and perfect for a sympathy card. I think it's the hardest card to make (next to men's) but when you have a set like this, it makes it more bearable. The pictures aren't great but here it is...

I printed this Penny Black sentiment on my computer then stamp the wishes

A lot of wedding stuff has been going on...a lot of boxes being ticked but I said this was a quick post so I'll update you next time :-D

Thanks for stopping by

Snow joke and I'm a winner!

I don't normally enter challenges...only because it takes so long to enter all the links lol! I've only ever entered because Lisa keeps moaning at me so the first time I did I won a top 3 with Sarah Hurley :-D I entered last weeks project in a couple of challenges and it turns out I won top prize at
Integrity Digi Stamps!!!  Woo hoo...I've now bought a lottery ticket so fingers crossed I win something there!!

It was only Nic and I that got the train yesterday to get some lunch at Eat. The boys couldn't be bothered...their loss though it's not often my boys pass up a chance for free food lol. We hit the PO first then headed to the Deli. We picked the same thing...nut loaf in a tomato saucewith salad and Dauphinoise potatoes. Neither of us have had a nut roast before but it was absolutely scrumptious! I loved the texture and the crunch of the nuts. To finish we shared a piece of carrot cake and I had a cappucino :-D

It was a bit of an epic journey home as the trains were running late and the one we eventually got on was only going one stop then heading back into Glasgow. We were the stop after that so it seemed a bit unfair...we could have waited another 20 minutes for the next one that would stop but by that time I had no feeling in my toes (my fleece socks let me down badly) so Nic ordered a taxi to pick us up at the next stop and once there shared the taxi with another lady who lives in our village.

I had to go back to the PO today but it was a much better trip. No delays (though I missed the first train so went home till the next one an hour later) but I'm getting into bad habits. After the PO I headed to the deli and had a cappucino and a Belgian chocolate and walnut brownie. This snow is definitely not very good for my muffin top!!!

A friend ordered a boxed wedding card. I haven't made one in such a long time but this is what I came up with...

This is the front of the box. I used the Sizzix bride and groom die and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Down the sides are pale pink Swarovski crystals.

Lid off...

Again I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder and one of my favourite SU! stamp sets for the image. Ribbon, Swarovski crystals and the sentiment finishes it off

No glitter {I know!} but I used 4mm Swarovski crystals for the flowers on the cake.

My friend was delighted with the card so I hope the happy couple will be
too :-D

My flabulous co-ordinator Lisa {yes she who moans at me lol} has designed a new button for the December special offer which you'll find at the top right sidebar. Buy one one stamp get one half price, buy 2 get 2 half price and so on...what more could you ask for?? The cd tins are going fast....there are only 3 left so act quickly if you don't want to be disappointed.

The entries for the Challenge Blog are looking megamazing...remember you've got until 9am Monday to get yours in.

That's it for me. Thanks for stopping by :-D
