Aw!

Two random pics for you since I don't have time for a real review. I am trying to get together my life! I need to give my two weeks, apply to new jobs, wrap up stuff at work, and then pack up everything I have to move 800 miles! WHOA! But let's see something, right?!

This is my tooties over the weekend in a fantabulous new pair of wedges I got from TJ Maxx. They are super high (at least 4") but so comfy! I am going to wear them all summer and destroy them, I just know it. And what is on my toes?!! China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy AKA Best Pedi Color EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this is a amazing shot my girl friend took of my baby, Cash over the weekend. Ready....... AAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

This Lane is Paved Green!

Hello everyone! :c)

It is officially March and I am super excited about it because it gives me an excuse to wear tons of green! It also means I get to countdown to St. Patrick's Day, which is my absolute favorite holiday. I am not Irish at all, I just love to celebrate like them! Up at dawn, drunk by 9, and decked out in green! Okay, the Irish don't necessarily dress in green and get wasted at the crack of dawn, but that is sure how I have celebrated St. Patrick's Day for the last several years!

So to kick off the month of green right, I of course have a green polish to show you today. Well, it's two green polishes:

Sinful Colors has a St. Patrick's Day display out consisting of Irish Green, and Green Ocean. I had to rebuy my Irish Green because I gave it away and I have never had any of the "ocean" shades, which all have flakies, so I was very excited to buy it. The woman who rang me out was so intrigued by Green Ocean she asked if she could open my bottle to look closer at it! How cute.

This is Green Ocean over Irish Green over a white creme base. I know Irish Green has inevitable visible nail line syndrome no matter how many coats you do so I didn't waste any time and just layered it over white. The white base also helps make it really pop and show its neon properties. This was much brighter in person.

I wouldn't wait on these shades because they are only around for March from what I can tell. I have never seen them in a permanent display. And they are only $1.99!

Some bonus pics:

This is my Cash playing outside with the BF's parents' dog, Molly. Look at his little sweater! My parents sent it for him! It is a big help when he plays in the snow because his hair is so long and curly it picks up so much snow and then it gets all balled up and he has little snow balls hanging from him when he comes in the house.

This one I took over the weekend. When I am sitting at my polish desk doing my nails and he wants to play, he comes over and looks up at me with these sweet little, pitiful eyes. Do I stop what I am doing and go play? Of course! Who could resist that face! You can see his eyelashes really well in this pic. Aren't they amazing?! They grow out just like the rest of him. They baffle me! I've never seen a dog with such pretty lashes!

Have a great day!

NOTD: Del Sol - True Love

HI GUYS! I hope you are having a great day! This is my Nail of The Day. It is nice and sunny so I thought it would be appropriate! (Hope I can sneak out to the beach... I have my bathing suit in my bag!!) This is Del Sol - True Love with two coats of LA Girls - Purple Glitter on top. Indoors True Love is a sweet, sugary nude, and outside it is a lovely lilac. And either look looks great with the purple glitter! It isn't a very bold, in your face glitter. The color is soft but I think that makes it perfect for this mani.

Here is a bonus puppy pic I took over the weekend. It's my Cash playing with my boyfriend's parents' dog, Molly. They just love to play together. I was so proud at the action shot I got! Enjoy and have a fabulous summer day! (unless the weather sux where you are. In that case, have a fabulous inside day!)

LA Girls Rockstar Swatches

Hello! I am on vacation this week, visiting my family in NY state and since I am on vacation, I can spend all day on my nails! I won't, but I did get to do a lot of swatches today of my LA Girls Rockstar line polishes! The pic above is Supernova.

Double Platinum- This is a sheer gold, packed with multi-sized holo glitter. Shown alone and over black in two coats. Hot! The holo is very um... holoish? I just want to say it show it's holo properties well. It wouldn't dissapoint.

Rockstar - Very inky, vampy black, with purple glitter. How about that bottle shot?! Can you see how it has a gold douchrome effect in the purple glitter? Really interesting. It's pretty hidden on the nail, but if you know it's there I think it'll stll make you happy. The glitter is more pronounced in the bottle than the nail, but it's still hot.

Supernova - Sheer black with holo bar glitter. Again, the holo won't dissapoint. Shown alone and over balck in two coats. Amazing and unique. Very, very fun.

Addict - Oh wow, Addict. You are soooo gorgeous. This sexy, deep red with gold glitter, that is almost flakie, but I don't feel comfortable calling it flakie, because to me flakes are a bit larger in size, but that is the idea. IT IS SOOOO PRETTY! The gold seems to float like the base is a jelly, but I don't really think it is. What I do know is it is a killer and a must have.

Overdose - Blue and purple glitter in a clear base. An interesting thing happened when I swatched this one. I discovered there is also a secret gold shimmer in it too! Look close. Can you see it?!! So sneaky, these Rockstars!!

Groupie - Beautiful royal purple with a blue shimmer that is actually glass-fleck looking. At first glance, it looks like purple, with blue shimmer, or purple shimmer, but then you look again and you go "no.. I think it's glass flecked..." In any case, awesome and full of depth.

Scandal - It does not look like much alone, but layered it is beautiful. Light purple and shimmery. This is two coats. Shown alone and over black. I see some great layer opportunities with this. I just used it over neon pink for a pedi and it's one of the best pedis I have ever done.

Head Banging - With a word like "head banging" wouldn't you write it "head bangin' "? That polish is bangin'. Anyway, blueish green shimmer. Very very pretty.

So these are all incredible. Even the ones that ended up being layering colors that I thought wouldn't be layering colors, are awesome. All had great application, and were done in two coats. I am in loooove with these!

And today you get a bonus puppy pic! I was asked in the last post about him how big of a bone he can chew. The one I photographed him with is pretty big, but I wish I had a pic of the one we gave him before that, because it was bigger than him! It was hilarious. And he got through the whole thing. He seemed intimidated at first, but he would not be defeated!

POTD - Plus a Bad, but Very Cute Puppy

Hello! I have a hot mani today, but want to share it in my LA Girls - Rockstar swatches I have planned so instead I bring you my feet!! I did a pedi with Sinful Colors-Fusion Neon and layered over it with LA Girls Rockstar-Scandal. Scandal is a light purple shimmery sheer so now my chalky flat neon is shimmery and shiny!
I really like this one. I wish it would show I bit truer in the pic. I think in real life it looks much brighter.

And today you get a bonus, fury-friend post. I don't close the door to the bathroom when I shower because we don't have a fan for the steam. This leaves opportunity for Cash to take my clothes and chew on them, whether it be a sock, underwear, slipper, etc. So last night I come out of the shower to find I am missing a slipper. I go out to find it and him and discover he is no longer chewing on it, but instead has swiped a roll of toilet paper! Look how guilty:It's my fault, really. Earlier in the day I gave him an empty TP tube to rip up and I guess he needed more! He just LOOVVES to rip up napkins and paper towels. Shredding is one of his favorite things to do. It's not usually a big deal because it's not really important stuff. What is great is that he knows it's wrong because as soon as I discover him he is rolling over to submit and say sorry, but he does it anyway! He must be in such heaven while he's doing it. He's just thinking "this is worth it".

Petites from D.C.

Hello! Today I am bringing swatches of the other part of my D.C. haul. It's the four Petites I got: Passion Orange, Universe, Hot Sauce, Purely Pearl.
Passion Orange is hot hot hot! It's a creme orange and it is so much brighter than this picture could depict. It's borderline neon. And it's also borderline coral, not so much orange. I love it.
Universe. Whoa whoa whoa! Besides green my favorite color is gold. And not just polish, but everything! And this is such a good add to the gold collection. It's a sheer gold with gold glitter AND gold flakes!! Can you believe this was $1.79? This should have been called "Look Rich Be Cheap"!! I couldn't take the picture in direct sun because so much light reflected back at the camera the light completely took over and you couldn't see the nails at all!

closeup:

Awesomeness.
Hot Sauce. This one is a chameleon. Not that it is a duochrome or color change polish, but everytime I look at it, it looks different to me. Sometimes deep, sometimes bright. Sometimes like a yellow-based tomato red, and others like it's blue-based and like a hot pink/berry-ish. I would call this creme, but in the sun you can see a smidge of shimmer. I really like it!
Purely Pearl. Metallic white. It is awesome and goes on smooth and opaque in 2 coats. I like it a lot. You just have to love it with brush strokes included. I don't think there is a way around it with this one.

AND today I thought I would share my new love! My puppy, Cash. We got him from a shelter and that was his name! I know it's kind of weird. We thought about changing it, but nothing else really hit us. I fell in love with him one day when I went to look at dogs with a friend (bad idea!) and I told my boyfriend about him when I got home and he went back the next day and got him while I was a work!! He is a Schnoodle: half minature schnauzer and half poodle. When we got him his hair was really long! He was so cute and scraggly:
But we had to get him a haircut because it didn't really look like he could see!
He loves this lion.
He's such a good little boy!
