Flowers, flowers and more flowers!

It's June 1 and welcome to a month! The challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES and I hope you'll join us.

I love flowers of all kinds and have enjoyed a beautiful spring here in Kentucky. I have a great display of flowers in and around my little greenhouse made out of old wood window sashes and there are flowers out in the front of my yard in an old wagon, an old wheelbarrow and an old cattle trough. I've gone wild with flowers.  So when I saw this image by our sponsor, Bugaboo, named Spring Boot, I couldn't resist it!

This card is 6x6" and I colored the image with Copics. I used a dragonfly, fence and sentiment Hello diecuts. The treasured piece of flower lace down the side was perfect for this card. Here's a close-up of this awesome image.

For the center of the flowers I used these awesome flat round mirrored jewels. And let's not forget Stickles for shine!

And my bow is double looped and the same white ribbon as my flowers are. I  used my bow tool to make this perfect bow and keep my bow tool handy and right on my work table.

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo.  The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice!

Everything that you ever wanted to know about Bugaboo Stamps:  As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an on-line store full of her illustrations.  That was six years ago. From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

The team has made some awesome projects using Bugaboo stamps, so please visit Craft-Dee BowZ and we hope you'll join us this month!

Christmas already!!

Can it really be December 1?  What happened to this year?!  Welcome to another new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ where our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.  Our sponsor this month is the fabulous Bugaboo who has so many wonderful images! I used this great image named Winter Trio.

I colored my snowmen with Copics and tree and snowflake die cuts. I bought this tag die cut on-line and have no idea who made it. The stripe along the bottom is actually washi tape, 3 rows of it, put on white paper and then cut and glued to my card.
The ribbon I used was very thin, stiff and iridescent. It was fun to make this bow with so many loops and I couldn't have done it without my bow tool. I glued a clear iridescent snowflake in the middle of my bow.

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo. The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice!

Holiday Preparation

October...can it be October already! Time is flying by and Christmas is quickly approaching. Time for me to buckle down and get some holiday cards ready!  It's time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ...and it's ANYTHING GOES AND INLCUDE A HANDMADE BOW. Our sponsor this month is one of my favorite stores, Bugaboo. I chose this image named Elephant Christmas Tree for my card.
I colored my image with Copics and used 3-D white paint and then sprinkled my Hero Arts "Snow" glitter on the wet paint.
I made this beautiful white bow using my bow tool. It's so easy to make a perfect bow with my bow tool and if you like bows, this is the tool for you! After making this pretty bow, I glued this metal brad of a Santa hat in the middle of it.

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo. The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice!

Puppy Love

Can it be August already? Another month has flown by and here we are with a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INLCUDE A HANDMADE BOW.  I fell in love with this image named Girl Puppy Love. I colored this dog like my own beagle, Lucy.

I colored my image with Copics and had such fun using my paw punch and dog papers for this card.

My bow is a triple looped bow and using my bow tool make this so easy to do. I was able to tie this bow nice and tight and still keep perfect loops!

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo. The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice!

Bunnies bunnies bunnies

As the months fly by, it's already time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  We're sponsored this month by Bugaboo Stamps and our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW. I chose this very cute image named Spring Bunnies.

Here's a close-up of this adorable image. I colored this with Copics and added a bit of glitter.
This double looped bow as a breeze to make with my bow tool. This ribbon was a breeze to use and using my bow tool guaranteed me a perfect bow!

April Showers...

We don't have April showers here in Phoenix, but when I saw this image, it reminded me of that old saying, "April showers bring May flowers". Today starts a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ where the topic is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW. This adorable image is from Bugaboo, our sponsor for this month. The name of it is "Friends Are Your Umbrella".

I colored my image with Copics and I've used a couple of very cute dies to accent my umbrella theme.

And here's my bow, a triple looped bow made from seam binding. This soft ribbon was perfect for a triple loop and my little bow tool gave me the perfect loops and knot in the middle. This is one little tool I can't live without!

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo. The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice!

Before I forget...Happy Valentine's Day!

I feel like it was just Christmas. It's still winter and Valentine's Day sneaks up on me each year.  At Craft-Dee BowZ, our new challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW.  I'm using this adorable Bugaboo image named Elephant Love for my card.

I colored my image with Copics and added a touch of glitter to this cute image!
I used lots of cute embellishments but my bow is what's special. This is two double looped bows with the smaller one slid inside the know of the larger one. It came out superb and on the first try, too!  My bow tool is one of my most precious card making tools and it guarantees me perfect bows every time.
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo. The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice!

Snow Pals

Well, it's the last Tuesday of the month and as a member of the Craft-Dee BowZ team, I have a card to share for you. I used this very adorable Bugaboo image named Two Snowmen.

I colored my image with Copics and decided to do a traditional red and green theme. Here's my image close-up. Lots of fun coloring snowmen!

And then I decided to use some gorgeous red ribbon given to me by Donna at Craft-Dee BowZ.  I made a double looped bow using my bow tool. It was so simple to make and it came out perfect the first time. I use a lot less ribbon when I use my bow tool since I make a bow once and it's done!

I love snowmen!

I haven't met a snowman I didn't love. Hahaha!  I love snowmen images and always have! I was raised where it snows and remember building snowmen and coming in with soaking wet mittens that were put on the radiator to dry. When I saw this image, I just had to use him for my card this month at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog.  The image is by Bugaboo.
I interpreted this image to be a bird with the snowman. I colored him to be a baby robin, then I did another card and colored him to be a baby cardinal. Then I'm not sure what happened except that I looked at my cards and thought: OMG is this supposed to be a penguin with the snowman?!  So, on that note, this is to tell you that artists can interpret things different from each other and I interpreted this to be a baby bird. I colored my image with Copics and added glitter by Stampendous named "Snow" to my snowman's body.
My bow is a triple loop made with blue seam binding and I glued a metal snowflake in the middle of the knot just to carry on the theme of snow. Using my bow tool guarantees me great bows. By not having to hold it all in my hands, and letting the bow tool do most of the work, I spend less time and use less ribbon since there are no mistakes!

Ladybugs and Fairies

I've come to the conclusion that I like things with wings. I love angels, fairies, and add to that butterflies, dragonflies and ladybugs. So when I saw this Bugaboo image named Ladybug Fairy, it met all my criteria!  Today starts a new month long challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ where the challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HAND MADE BOW.

I colored this adorable fairy with my Copics and added some Cool Glitter Ritz to the darker tone of her wings. My ladybug border is a punch by Martha Stewart and the oval die cuts are by Spellbinders. The corner die cut is by Whimsy. And this pretty assortment of jewels is from a giant sheet with hundreds of mixed color jewels that my best friend, Lillian, sent to me years ago. I use jewels from that package on so many cards since it's a total assortment of colors. I loved mixing the pinks and greens on this card!
Sometimes an embellishment can really make a card.  That's how I feel about this bow. This triple looped bow shimmers and made the perfect corner embellishment. I made it with my bow tool and it was so easy and was so fast to make. It came out perfect the very first time, too! Thanks, Donna, for such pretty ribbons every month!

Happy 4th of July America!!!

Happy 4th of July!  Well, almost. It's July 1 and it's time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog.  I  used this adorable image by Bugaboo Stamps named Edward USA for my card.
Here's Edward colored with Copics and I added some silver glitter to the stars on the image. Now don't go looking too close at Edward's flag...or you'll see what I saw after I printed him...the flag is backwards on the pole! But I think Americans can forgive this error since the image is so very cute! The big stars in the corner are heavy cardboard covered in silver paper.
The red, white and blue ribbon was very different to work with. It was very stiff and felt like heavy paper until Donna at CDB said to use my bone creaser on it and it would soften it up and then it would make a great bow. She wasn't kidding! This double looped bow was easy to make with my bow tool! If you don't have a bow tool and like to make bows for your cards, you need one! It saves me time and ribbon since every bow comes out great the first time! The star in the middle of this bow is a piece of cardstock that I used a star punch and then used clear embossing powder over it.

All Creatures Great and Small

Time for a little inspiration at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog...Challenge #112 where the topic is ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL. I used this awesome stamp by Bugaboo named Giraffe Blocks.

I watercolored the giraffe blocks with my Zig watercolor pens and then layered them.  I had this black and white giraffe paper and didn't like the white so I colored it with the same pens I used on the giraffes.

The sponsors for this month are Di's Digi Stamps and Bugaboo.

$10 voucher to Di's Digi Downloads

Have you seen the wonderful creations the Design Team has made to inspire you for this challenge? You've got just another week or so to enter the challenge of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog!

Walking on the wild side!

It's May 1...already. And so it's time for a new challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  And, our challenge this month is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HAND MADE BOW.  My cubby buddy and friend at work, Dani, has a daughter named Emmy who is having her 5th birthday in just a few days. Emmy LOVES giraffes so when I saw this image on Bugaboo, I had to use it for a card for Emmy. This image was taken from the set named Tall Jungle Blocks.

Here's a close-up of this cute giraffe. And the rest of the animals in this set are as cute, too! I used a leaf die cut and shaded the leaves with my Copics for a little dimension and I used foam tape so they're not flat on the card. The sentiment was cut out with a circle nested die cut set and a scalloped circle punch. I embossed my tan craft paper with an embossing folder.

Last but not least is my yellow bow. I used my bow tool which saves me time and ribbon since every bow comes out wonderful. I've marked my bow tool to show the size bow I can make by moving the rods in the pre-drilled holes. The way I marked mine doesn't show ALL the sizes since you can obviously put the 2 rods in a lot more configurations for smaller or larger bows, but these are the sizes I use most. I measured and marked with a fine Sharpie and then I put a thin coat of Modge Podge over it, not blocking the holes. A picture of my bow tool is below.

Here's the perfect yellow triple looped bow made with my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Tool.

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps and the challenge prize this month is FOUR digital images, winner's choice!
