Where do you get your inspiration from?

The question about where I get my inspiration from is the commonest question I think that I have been asked since becoming a demonstrator two years ago.
Well my inspiration comes from just about everywhere, The most obvious being the ideas book & catalogue that is produced by Stampin' up & that is where the inspiration for todays cards has comes from page 66 in the catalogue.

I always look at what my fellow demonstrators are doing & often use their cards or projects for a starting point for my own projects & always share where the inspiration comes from.
Colour inspiration comes from the colour coach tool which is always out on my work desk. Other colour combinations come from magazines of all types especially home & garden magazines, Photo's I have taken. Nature is very good for finding colour combinations that work well & are always changing like the seasons, so they provide a constantly changing colour palette.
I think one of the strangest places for inspiration for colour combinations are DIY stores when they have wallpaper & paint samples.

Here is my case of the above cards

Stampers 10 comes to an end with a fond farewell card

Last nights stampers 10 was the last of this group.
This has been a lovely group of Ladies & most of them have joined the next group that starts on the 16th June.

We used the bird on a branch set & made one Fond farewell card & one using the three newly released colours that form part of the colour renovation.
Fond farewell card
I used the refill inks to make a custom ink pad to colour the bossom on the branches.
I used the cut'n' dry stamp pad felt whilst this isn't a Stampin ' Up product it is well worth thinking about adding it to your regular Stamping kit. The inked pads can be stored in mini ziplock bags & reused. You could allso use the Stampin Up markers to hand colour the stamp for a similar effect.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
