BIG Change of Plans....

Remember how Jordan and I had a plan? A good plan. A plan involving Jordan working for HBM in Salt Lake City, buying a home, and me working for Davis School District one day a week.

Well, plans have changed.

Our new plan involves this......

In case you're not getting the references (or aren't on facebook), we are moving to Atlanta, Georgia in January. Jordan got a job with PwC, one of the Big Four accounting firms. We are moving right after the new year and are excited at the prospect of a new adventure for our family. I'll keep you posted about any new developments.

Park City Week...

A tradition has developed in my family. For the last three years, my parents have gotten two condos at the Park City Marriott for us to stay in as a family. To say that we had fun would be a grand understatement. This Park City week is quickly becoming one of my favorite times of the year. Once again we celebrated Jordan's birthday while we were there. This year he turned 27! We celebrated by going to dinner at the Main Street Pizza and Noodle Co.
Kalli's sisters were able to join us.
Along with Scott, Rach, Adelaide....
Steve, Erin.....
and Annie, Abbie, Landon, and Noah. You should have seen the look on their face when we told them how many were in our party.
After dinner we went back to the condo for some brownie goulash.
Jordan has now requested brownie goulash for his last two birthdays. Never mind the ghetto pot that I had to put it in--there were no bowls big enough at the condo.
Holding up his vintage BYU shirt.
One of my favorite things about the condo is being able to just hang out. We went swimming, watched movies, and could babies down to nap. Perfect. Check out these beautiful girls.
We made gourmet caramel apples again this year. The favorites were the white chocolate oreo apples.
The kids had a great time playing together.
Bless whoever thought to put in playgrounds at the outlets. We managed to sneak in some good shopping while the kids played.
Nothing like a large slurpee to keep a two-year-old busy.
We packed up the condos on Friday and then drove down to Corn Belly's at Thanksgiving Point. What a fun place for kids and adults! We spent several hours there and could have stayed more.

Check out the size of this rocker.
These slides were ridiculously fast, even for adults.
They had a great hay ride as well.
Sadly, the week ended and everyone had to go home. But we're still trying to fit in as many fall activities as we can. Last night we went for a walk to crunch leaves, and the decorated some Halloween sugar cookies. Lucy managed to make a superb mess. Oh well, we had fun.
And tonight, the pumpkin patch!!!

Octoberness....

I'm having a really hard time coming up with a title for this post, since it's kind of random. Now that I am home more, I am finding time to do things that I really enjoy such as....baking. This is my first attempt at a peach pie. Doesn't everything with peaches look pretty? Believe it or not, but it actually tasted pretty good.
My sister Annie turned 23 on the 8th, so Lucy and I decided to make her some cupcakes. Lucy was very helpful at putting the cupcake wrappers in the pan. She was also very helpful at licking the batter off the spoon and scraping the bowl.
My parents are out of town, so Jordan and I drove to Provo to celebrate with Annie. We ate dinner at a delicious Italian restaurant called 'Gloria's Little Italy'. The food was fantastic!! We will definitely be going back. After dinner we had tickets to the BYU-San Jose State game. BYU won, and it was a great evening.
Yummy.
On Wednesday, I bought a groupon to see the Piccadilly Circus in Salt Lake. Since Lucy is so in love with Dumbo I thought she might enjoy the circus. I hadn't been to the circus since I was four, so I had no idea what to expect. We really built the whole thing up by telling Lucy that she was going to see all sorts of animals. Unfortunately, most of the acts in the first half were human acts and Lucy was NOT interested. We ended up leaving at intermission because Lucy was tired and grumpy. It was $25 well spent.

Conference Weekend....

I know I say this every six months but.....I love conference weekend! This conference was no exception. It's a little more challenging to pay attention when you have a BUSY two-year-old running around, however, everyone pitched in to keep Lucy entertained. It was nice to have Annie home for conference this year. We missed her while she was on her mission.

How exactly do you keep a two-year-old entertained? We started out with puzzles and paper dolls.
Next, we wrestled with daddy.

Then we built a fort.
Throw in a little manicure.
And some stylin' with Aunt Annie.

How about a popsicle?
Then a swim with mom in between sessions.
A nice snuggle always helps.
And a Dumbo ride.
Basically, you do whatever it takes.
