Creative Expressions Stamps

The lovely Lisa Horton is on Hochanda again this evening showing some of her news designs in Creative Expressions stamps & mdf. I was lucky enough to have a chance to play with the stamps. I love love love these designs. They're so versatile - you can do the obvious with them, but also think outside the box and use them for all sorts of cards.

Here's the selection I made. Clean and Simple and effective.

I few cheeky foam pads in there to add dimension to some of the hexagons.

I added some foam pads to give the frame dimension & added some Wink of Stella to the Bee, his trail & the sentiment.

I hope you watch Lisa's Hochanda show to see what great ideas she comes up with. If you missed it you can watch the shows on Catch Up on their website for the next week.

New Buttonbox Fairies at That Craft Place and A Petal Lu Challenge

We'll it's time for me to put on a new hat. That Craft Place Challenges is taking a bit of a holiday but the lovely Lucinda of Petal Lu took us DT girls under her wing and swept us into Petal Lu Challenges

For those of you (like me) who are new to Petal Lu they are the creations of the lovely Lu who makes amazing handmade flowers. When I received mine through the post I totally swooned! they're so gorgeous!

That Craft Place are releasing some new Buttonbox Fairy digis today and we were asked to play with them. That's never a hardship as I adore the Buttonbox Fairys.  This new set are as lovely as the others have been.

Using flowers is a new thing for me - you know me - clean and simple is the way I go. I've always struggled with embellishements. I pulled my big girl pants on though and went for it. Only one flower this time - well I've got to start gently eh :P There will be more in the future though I promise as they're lovely.

This little Cutie is Sew Lovely Buttonbox Fairy. Isn't she just adorable! I coloured her with my copics and added Stickles Stardust Glitter glue and a few adhesive pearls to her wings & some glossy accents to the button. The Embossed button cardstock is from That Craft Place.

The sentiment is from the Silhouette store. Don't you love the red flower! It's a Small Original Bloom from the Petal Lu Lucky Dip

I really hope you like it. I hope you come across and join in at Petal Lu Challenges - the theme is Anything Goes so nice & easy :D

Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, with R20 Cheeks

That Craft Place Challenges are taking a holiday

I have sad news today. That Craft Place Challenges is taking an extended holiday. I'll be really sad to have the fortnightly challenges stop, but hopefully we'll be back at some point in the future. In the meantime most of the DT are hoping over to Petal Lu Challenges. I'll still be creating with the digis from That Craft Place as I love them.

Today it's time for a sneak peek of a new Candy - Horns and Sparkles - that's coming to the That Craft Place Etsy store very soon.

How cute is she!! Being magical I've added some Sakura Stardust gel pen to the unicorns mane & horn & her jewellery. I've added some Wink of Stella too.

The sentiment is from the Rainbows and Unicorns digi set. I printed it in colour and then added two layers of Sakura Glaze pen to it to give it some dimension.

I hope you like it & hope you come over to help make the final That Craft Place Challenge a huge success. Let's send us off with a bang eh?

An Easter Egg Hunt with That Craft Place

It's challenge time at That Craft Place and as always the theme is Anything Goes.
I thought as Easter is fast approaching (I bought Easter Eggs today) I'd use Easter Egg Hunt Betty and one of the Easter Scrabble Sentiments to make an Easter card.

I chose pastel springlike colours & kept her bight and cheerful. She looks so excited to be searching for those Easter eggs.

I love every one of the Scrabble Senitments. This Easter one is such fun. I coloured each 'tile' and added cast shadows to make it 3D.

I used two lots of embossed cardstock on my card - the lovely flower embossed cardstock and a sheet of Bassil Basics pink card.

All Products bought from That Craft Place Shop

I hope you like her & hope you come over and join us at That Craft Place.

That Craft Place Mdf Small Desk Tidy

Wow! I really branched out here and reached into the world of Mdf! A big step for me but I was inspired after seeing Lisa Horton on Hochanda & couldn't wait to try myself. After seeing her demo online it was actually really easy to do & the Remote holder kit she sells goes together like a dream.
I've never used Decoupage papers before so that was something new & I even mixed my paints to get a close match to the papers.

I adore the colours and love that my tools are all organised & close at hand.
You can find the MDF Small Desk Tidy here
and the beautiful papers are Craft Consortium Decoupage Papers

I've made a couple of cards using the new releases.

Here's the new Unicorn. I'm going to be doing a tutorial of how I made this card here on the That Craft Place blog so pop over then if you want to see how I made it.

Now for one of the Bubbles - this little cutie is Disco Bubbles.
I tried to colour him so he was dancing in the disco lights.

The lights are even catching the highlights in his hair.

Catching the light you can see I've coloured him wearing good old 80's bling! Full on silver!

These sentiment tags are new too. I can see me using them lots in the future.

Anyway that's enough from me.

Your next stop on the hop is with the lovely Sam

The Unicorns have landed at That Craft Place.

The Unicorns are coming to That Craft Place! These are a new range of digis and they're just so cute! I love them to bits and couldn't resist playing.

I used the unicorn, rainbow, two clouds & raindrops.
I wanted the rainbow and clouds to stretch across the top of the card so stretched the rainbow out sideways, This is one of the things I love about digi stamps - you can squidge and squeeze them a bit to make them fit the space you're using.

I have a real thing for rainbows so love colouring them.
I added some shading to the clouds & some Wink of Stella. I added hints of reflected colours to the raindrops as they'd reflect the colours of the rainbow before adding Glossy Accents.

Here's a close up of the Unicorn. How cute is he! I kept him simple with subtle shading and Sakura Stardust Gel Pen on his tail, mane & horn. I used Wink of Stella on his body - after all Unicorns really should be sparkly don't you think?

This cutie will be available in the That Craft Place Etsy store very soon.

Cute as a Cupcake with That Craft Place

I have a real soft spot for the Button Box Fairies from That Craft Place - they're just so cute. I couldn't resist using Cute as a Cupcake for the That Craft Place Challenge (as always the theme is Anything Goes).

Here's a close up of Cute as a Cupcake. She's a dream to colour.

I saw the idea of the sentiment as a frame around the page on a facebook group and decided to try it myself. I love the effect it gives. I typed the main sentiment and added a drop shadow in Craft Artist 2.

As the final touch I coloured clear adhesive gems with my R35 Copic and added them to the card. I love being able to colour clear gems with Copics to match my colouring - so much easier than keeping loads of different colour gems (and still never having exactly the right colour I neeeeed).

All my resources came from That Craft Place

Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E51, E53, E55, E57, E59, Sakura Stardust Gel Pen
Clothes - R32, R35, R37, R39, R59, W7, C2, C5
Wings - R30, R32, Stickles Stardust
Wand - Y11, Y15, Y17
Shadow - W2, W3, W5

Chirstmas with That Craft Place

It's time for Christmas over at That Craft Place
Now we're into December I'm loving the fact it's feeling more Christmassy. I visited a local Christmas Market last Friday which was lovely. I won't put any decorations up until later in the month, but I love the Christmas spirit and all the happiness.

This card shows all I love about digi stamps - they're so flexible. I've taken one digi, duplicated it twice and tweaked the two copies by height and width to make them look different. I know they really are the same, one, but I could make them just about different enough to give the illusion of three.

I had such fun colouring these Three Christmas Kings. I kept them in traditional colours & had fun making the crowns appear metallic and the gems shine.

The gems each have three Copics, White gel pen, Sakura Stardust pen & Glossy Accents. I may have gone a little over the top there, but it worked :P

I really hope you like my Christmas Kings and really hope you come over and join us at That Craft Place Challenges xxx

Need more inspiration?  why don't you join us in our Natter page
on facebook, DT adds lots of inspiration plus you can add your creations
on there as well, we also do a swap each month.

are added and she also runs a pay at the end of the month scheme.

And if you're a lover of Digi Stamps then look no further then our
gorgeous digi's.

A Christmas Blog Hop with That Craft Place

We are having a blog hop over at
We cant wait to share our super Christmas Cuteness with you

Make sure you comment on every DT's blog as we will be giving away prize's

5 winners will be able to pick 5 images of their choice

You are at Lucy's Blog you now need to hop on over

Here's what I made.
I sort of caught the Kraft cardstock bug on the recent That Craft Place Challenge so stuck with that for these creations.

For this first one featuring the Buttonbox Fairy Candy Canes and Door bundle (also available as individual images) I really went outside my comfort zone - Kraft cardstock and pencils! You all know how much I use and love my Copics so my pencil work leaves a bit to be desired. I had fun playing though.

I really do love the Buttonbox Fairies - they're just so cute!

For my next project I made a gift tag for a bottle of wine
- mulled wine of course - it is Christmas after all!

These little cuties are actually a Pile of Penguins, but I thought they'd work nicely as robins.
I think they turned out nicely. I again used pencils to colour this along with some Black Sakura Glaze pen on their eyes & a white gel pen on the snow.

Finally I made this Christmas Robin card to give with the Mulled Wine.
This time I mainly used my Copics although the fluffy trim is white pencil & white Signo Gel Pen

All Products used from That Craft Place
