Now Steampunk scare me - they really honestly do! I'm a clean and simple and cute girl so Steampunk is the complete opposite of what I do, but hey we have to challenge ourselves sometimes don't we!

Here's what I created.

As soon as I saw 'Meeting with Death' the quote from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows popped into me head. Yes I know the digi is a girl not a boy, but I still think it works so allow me a little bit of artistic license.

I typed the sentiment myself and added it on top of a freebie paper that was given by Create with TLC recently which I trimmed to size.

I coloured 'Meeting with Death' with my Copics

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks

Death:
Hair - N3, N5, N7, N9
Cloak - C3, C5, C7, C9, 100
Scythe - E55, E57, E59, C2, C3, C5

Lady:
Hair - Y11, Y17, YR24, E35
Shirt - E50, E53
Jacket - G46, G85, G29
Skirt - R35, R37, R39, R59

Skulls - E50, E53, N5

Creativity Takes Courage

Happy Birthday Kit and Clowder!

It's amazing to think that that colouring community has been active for a whole year. It's grown and grown and grown in that time & is an amazing thing to be part of.
I've taken part in a few of the colouring classes and have definitely seen a development in my colouring.

As part of the Anniversary celebrations a challenge was set to create something using an inspiration photo.

This is what I made:

This was the inspiration photo.

I took the word Creativity and the fact that it's a colouring community as my basis and the colours of the word art.

The Digi is Color Me Wonderful from Saturated Canary.
Lots of skin - lots of hair, pleats and creases in the clothes & holding a pocketful of Copics - what more could I ask for? :P

I coloured her with my Copics
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - Y11, Y15, Y17, YR24, E35
Top - RV32, RV34, RV55, RV69
Skirt - G02, G05, G07, G29, B99
Copics - C3, C5, C7

The sentiment is a freebie from Ginger's House .
I coloured it and added a shadow effect in Craft Artist 2.

I really enjoyed colouring her and hope you like what I've created.

New KennyK images

KennyK has another amazing release - two Martial Arts digis to add to the Kid Nation collection and they're so cute!

I decided to make a quick and easy card using the Precoloured Martial Arts Girl combined with a sentiment from Create with TLC and a Spiders Web from Graphics Factory.

I drew over the spider's web with Sakura Stardust pen so it's got a subtle shimmer.

I do love that sentiment. I picked it up as a freebie from Create with TLC quite a while ago and it makes me laugh every time I see it as it's so true! Tell me you don't jump all over the place waving your hands if you walk into a spiders web! I know I do!!!

I hope this has made you smile. I'll certainly be using Martial Arts Girl & Boy again in the very near future.

Send a Little Love

Today is a chance to combine two things I love - That Craft Place is sponsoring Through the Purple Haze Challenges! What a great combination eh!

Here's the easel card I made. It's not the best photo as the light wasn't good, but I hope you can see well enough.

The card base was cut using a free cut file from Bird Cards. The theme of the challenge is to embellish as much as possible. I struggle to make very embellished cards so this is the best I've managed. I know I know - still fairly clean and simple for many people, but trust me I tried! The gold on the edges is a hint of Krylon Gold Leafing pen.

I used Love from Sugar and the 'Love' from 'With Love' and the 'You' from 'Happy Birthday to You' Scrabble Alphabet Birthday & General set

I coloured Love from Sugar with my copics

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E23, E25, E27, E29, E49, W7
Top - R32, R35, R37, R39, R59
Shorts - BV23, BV25, BV27, BV29

I embellished the double heart stopper by adding Kryon Gold Leaving pen to the bottom layer, Crystal Stickles to the middle layer & Glossy accents and a pearl to the top layer.

It's been an exciting challenge for me as I'm lucky enough to have been asked to be a DT member of the new Sugar & Betty Challenge blog which will be launching on the 1st March.

Looking forward to seeing your entries at Through the Purple Haze Challenges xxx

Sports with Kenny K's Krafty Krew

It's time for a new challenge at KennyK's Krafty Krew  and the challenge theme is Anything Goes with an optional Sports twist.

I decided to stretch my sporting knowledge and made this Baseball card as I could't resist Batter.

I loved making this and am looking forward to seeing any entries you have using KennyK images.

Digi Galore is Back!

Woo Hoo! After a few months off Digi Galore Challenges are back :D
We've got a new format - our challenges will be running each month on the 1st of the month.
We've got some amazing sponsors lined up so I hope you come along and join in.

Our sponsor this month is That Craft Place.
Now for some reason I've always been wary of the Sugar digis. I've no idea why - a bit of a mental block for me for some reason. Luckily that block has now lifted as after playing with Balloon High I'm completely in love. I can see me colouring many more of these in the future.

I kept my design fairly clean and simple as I wanted to focus on the image and the sentiment (also from That Craft Place)

I made the background using a range of my blue Copics in my Blitzer Hand Airbrush (the 1990's version of the Tim Holtz Sprtizer). I love the effect it gives for skies.

Here's a close up of  Balloon High. I coloured her with my Copics.

I tried to make the balloons slightly transparent so the ones behind show through the ones in front.
I also added some Wink of Stella all over to give them a metallic shimmer.

I hope you like my card & would love to see your entries into the Digi Galore Challenge. It's 'Anything Goes' so nice and easy.
