Happy Birthday Elena (Mrs Kenny K)!

Happy Birthday to You!
Happy Birthday to You!
Happy Birthday dear Elenaaaaaa
Happy Birthday to You!!!!

I hope you're having a wonderful birthday and enjoying your Birthday Hop!
That Miss Regan is a sneaky one isn't she setting this up as a surprise for you!
Sneaky in a good way luckily.

Here's the card I made for you.

I used Texting Friends and coloured her with my Copics.

It's a bit difficult to see on the main picture but I've added Sakura Stardust pen to the words so they shimmer.

I hope you have a really wonderful birthday Elena.
Thanks for leading Kenny K's Krafty Krew. I love being part of the group.

Your next stop on the hop is with Nick.

For anyone else who's following the blog hop (or who's just come across me by accident) the whole of Kenny K's Krafty Krew are taking part in this blog hop. Hop along and see everyone's creations and leave them a little love. Finish back at Kenny K's Krafty Krew with some birthday love for Elena. Regan (our Dt Co-ordinator) will pick a winner from the people who've commented on all the blogs, so as well as seeing great creations you're in with a chance of wining something.

Here's the list with the hop order.

Simply Betty Stamps - Facebook Fan page challenge

Woo Hoo! It's time for a new Facebook Fan Page Challenge at Simply Betty Stamps & this year I've been invited to be on the DT. Am I excited??? Just a little bit! Who wouldn't be! I get to pay with lovely images all year.

For any of you who've not played along before it's nice and simple. You buy one (or all) of the featured Fan Page images from the Simply Betty Shop, join in the challenge as stated on the Simply Betty Blog (each image has a different formula to use) then enter your creation into the album on the SBS Fan Page on Facebook

Betty's created four beautiful images to play with this month. I was lucky enough to play with three of them.

First is Tea Time Kim. She's a classy lady who enjoys a cup of tea.
The Challenge is to use Pink, Lavender & Some Bling

I used Dotty and Flowery paper from Pink Petticoat, some adhesive pearls and part of a giant bling swirl I picked up in Poundland about a year ago.

I coloured Tea Time Kim using my Copics

Next up is the lovely Elegant Jackie.
The Challenge with her is to use Pink and Grey and one other colour
(I went for a touch of green on her eyes)

I used paper and elements from the Echo Park Paper Company Be Mine Collection.

I coloured her with my Copics
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, with R20 Cheeks

Finally we have the gorgeous Victorian Rio.
The Challenge with her is to use Polka dot papers and a border die or punch.

I used Dotty papers from Pink Petticoat, a piece of organza ribbon
and the Big Splash Border Die from Memory Box.
I cut it out twice and used it to edge the dark dotted paper.

I coloured her using my Copics

I hope you like my creations. I'd love to see your entries in the Simply Betty Stamps Fan Page Challenge.

A lovely new Digi Company

I love discovering new digi companies and I've recently discovered the amazing Ching-Chou Kuik and have fallen head over heals with her digis. I was so pleased she's sponsoring Through the Purple Haze Challenges. This is the first one I've coloured, but I can safely say it won't be the last.

Bunch of Love is such a beautiful image and I had such a good time colouring her that I decided to stay nice and simple and just mount her in a frame.

How beautiful is this lady!
I need to find some pennies to get some more of these digis!

Spring with Stamping Dragon

It's challenge time over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges. This time the theme is Spring and our sponsor is Stamping Dragon.

I used Jiggy's Spring Flowers to make this easel card.

I used the Decorative Circles 2 cut file from Bird Cards as the base for the Easel card as I thought it looked a little like a flower. I backed it with tracing paper and added a touch of colour to the back with my copics. The flowers on the base are from Samaflora.

I hope you like my little Dragon x

New Releases at Kenny K!!!!!!

Woo Hoo! Today's an exciting day!!! Kenny K has a new release - and they are AMAZING!!!!

There are three new images - Foxy Mama - a super sexy curvy lady, Ballerina - a lovely girl with a walking frame practising her ballet, and High Score - a boy enjoying a computer game from the comfort of his wheelchair. I can see me using these images lots.

It's time for a new challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Krew today and the theme is 'You're Special'. I could't resist colouring Ballerina.

I made her pretty and girly and made her base ultra glittery - I mean what aspiring ballerina doesn't love pink glitter?

I designed the card base myself and cut it on my Black Cat Cougar. For some reason the shape just popped into me head when I saw the image ..... but I hadn't thought as far as what the cut out card base would look like though :P I think it would be more appropriate for a card for Foxy Mama!!! Luckily folded it suits Ballerina nicely.

As well as the glitter I added Sakura Tiara gel pen to the sentiment and her walking frame to give it a shimmery metallic look.

Now I love this new release so much that I couldn't resist colouring High Score too. Just a plain and simple card, but hopefully one a young gamer would like (not the best photo).

I again added a touch of Sakura Tiara shimmer pen to the metal of his wheelchair - not full on glittery like Ballerina's frame, but a hint of metallic paint is good.

I coloured them both with my Copics.

I really hope you like them and hope you'll come over and join in the 'You're Special' challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Krew. You could use one of the new images, or any of the other amazing images by Kenny K.

A tunnel card with Aurora Wings

Well it's back into the swing of things and Through the Purple Haze Challenges has just started for the New Year. We're sponsored by the wonderful Aurora Wings and I had Nightshade Sprite to play with.  I must admit I had to resort to Google to find out what the Nightshade flower looks like so I've hope I've got it right.

I used one of the Tunnel Cards from the DaisyTrail shop as the base of my card. I managed to pick it up in the current sale and this is the first time I've played with them. I love the effect it gives and so easy to make.

It works out as 3 layers with corrugated side panels.

I added some Stickles Glitter to the moon and stars and tree lights to add to the magical feel.

I coloured Nightshade Sprite with my Copics. She has a hint of Wink of Stella on her too but that's difficult to capture on camera.

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
V12, V04, V17, V09, BV04. BV08
Y06, Y08, YR24
G14, G17, G29, W7

I really hope you like it.

I'd like the enter this into the Aurora Wings All that Glitters Challenge (ends 17th Jan)
It's subtle glitter I admit, but it is there in the vital places :P

My 5 Favourite creation of 2014

There's a blog hop happening looking back at your favourite 5 projects from 2014 and I thought I'd join in. It's been a busy year with DT work for
Through the Purple Haze Challenges
Digi Galore
Kenny K's Krafty Krew
Encino Stamps

and I've loved every minute. I consider it an honour to be part of such great teams.

It was hard to pick but my 5 favourite projects from 2014 are:

I know I've already reached my 5, but I couldn't resist including this quilt I made for my best friend's daughter. It was my first step into quilting after starting a course at the local sewing shop.

I hope you like the ones I've picked. I can't wait to get crafting and seeing what 2015 brings x
