Two cards today from completely different seasons!

I've made two cards for this week's Through the Purple Haze Challenges. They're both very different - each inspired by the digis provided by our sponsors.

First is this beauty from Aurora Wings. I love love love  Aurora Wings digis! They always terrify me when I first look at them, but I love challenging myself and they look lovely when completed.

This lady is Snow Queen - Ice Beauty and what a beauty she is.

I used the Memorybox Frostyville Border Die & made the card base from Acetate to add to the wintery icy feel
(what a joke to be making something so wintery in the middle of a heatwave!)

I added Stickles glitter to her eyeshadow and the snowflakes in her crown and hair.

and Glossy Accents to the ice crystals

I'm really please with how the Snow Queen turned out.
I deliberately kept her skin tone light with no blush, and the same with her hair to give a chilly look.
I've been taking the Kit and Clowder Skin and Hair class & am really pleased with how her hair turned out.

I really hope you like her.

I'd like to enter her into these challenges:

My other card is much more summery!
This is a new store for me (but you know how much I love finding new digis)

I printed the sunflower three times and coloured each one.
Then I cut around the upper petals of the sunflower and shaped them so some curl upwards, and some back.
On the 3rd one I cut out the centre of the flower. I added spots of glossy accents which I then coloured with a brown marker when it was dry.

I assembled the layers of the Sunflower using Silicone Glue to give plenty of dimension
(the first time I've ever tried it).

I really hope you like both cards. Hope you can join us at Through the Purple Haze Challenges - the theme this week is Anything Goes (with an optional Handmade Flower twist)

Happy Birthday with Encino Stamps

Wow! Day 7 of our celebrations at Through the Purple Haze Challenges!
What a week it's been! So so so much fun!
This is our last day - and what a sponsor we've got! I've said it before and I'll say it again

I had Kalle the Meerkat to play with. What a cute little critter he is! I made him into this little tag.

I made the wrapping paper by pinting Kalle the Meerkat out many times on coloured paper.

I think I might have got a little carried away!
Ach well it means I'm well prepared for the next birthday that comes along :P

Here's a close up of Kalle the Meerkat

I coloured him with my Copics:
E30, E33, E35, E37
E44, E47, E49
Y15, Y17, Y38
BG05, BG07, BG09, BG99
R24, R27, R29, R59

I hope he's bought a smile to your face. Don't forget to leave a comment to enable you to be entered into the  Through the Purple Haze Challenges Blog Hop Prize draw, and the draw for the Blog Candy I have on offer.

Don't forget to complete the hop and enter the challenge - Ina from Encino Stamps has amazingly given Kalle free to everyone who enters!

You should have arrived here from Anita

and you're hopping on to Darcy

Thanks so much for helping celebrate our birthday.

Beansie Doodles

It's challenge time again over at Digi Galore & this time the theme is Autumn.
Now in the middle of this heat wave it's a bit difficult to think about Autumn so I cheated a little and used autumnal colours rather a full on Autumnal theme.

I love this image from our sponsor Beansie Doodles
Jumpin' Jellybean actually comes as a pair of stamps (make sure to have a look). I'm looking forward to making a really cheeky card with this pair!

For today I chose to use just this one Jumpin' Jellybean

I used a nice red backing card from DCWV and coloured her in rich autumnal colours

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - BV60, B31, C3, C5
Dress - R24, R27, R29, R59
Zimmer - C3, C5, C7

I added Clear Sakura Glaze Pen to her Glasses so it looks like glass.

The sentiment is from Create with TLC and I've added Sakura Glaze pen to it to add a little shine.

Do you like my new Watermarks? The lovely Sam of Autumn Moon Designs made them for me and I love it to bits!

I hope she's made you smile & look forward to seeing your entires at  Digi Galore

Happy Birthday with Digi Stamps 4 Joy

Wow! Day Three of the Through the Purple Haze Birthday Blog Hop already!
We've been waiting for the week for so long but I can't believe how quickly it's going!

You should have hopped here from the wonderful Lisbeth.

Today our sponsor is Digi Stamps 4 Joy and I had the lovely Me & My Mate from Mini Misteri  to play with.

I made the card using a paper from Basic Grey Serendipity and Shine On paper pack as the base.
It was so pretty with the bike that I thought it made a beautiful base.
I added Me & My Mate on top using Craft Artist 2

I also used Craft Artist 2 to add the sentiment that came from Create with TLC

I just love this cute bicycle on the paper!

Here's a close up of the two little friends Me & My Mate from Mini Misteri

Don't forget I'm offering Blog Candy to one randomly chosen commenter, and use the word 'BIRTHDAY' in your comment to be in with a chance to win the Blog Hop Candy from Through the Purple Haze Challenges.

The next step on your Hop is with the lovely Jacqui.

Happy Hopping :D

Happy Birthday Through the Purple Haze Challenges!!!!

Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday Through the Purple Haze Challenges
Happy Birthday to You!

Wow it's amazing to believe Through the Purple Haze Challenges turns 1 this week!!!!

I've been involved with Through the Purple Haze Challenges since the beginning - first as a challenge entrant - entering every single week in the hope of winning the big prize - then in September I was lucky enough to be accepted onto the DT. I consider myself really luck to be part of such a great team of lovely and amazingly talented people.

So on with the celebrations! We're really doing it in style! Each day this week we've got a different sponsor. There's an Anything Goes challenge running all week (optional Birthday twist), and each day there's a blog hop happening visiting different DT members each day. Some of the DT are also offering Bolg Candy on their own blog. All in all it's a great big party all week long :D

I'm offering blog candy of my own this week.
From all the comments on the blog hop posts on my blog this week I'll randomly draw a winner on the 25th July.

Today you should have hopped to me from Carla

Anyway time for today's celebration! Today we're sponsored by the amazing Simply Betty. I love love love SBS Images and must confess I own a scary number, but always seem to find another I fall in love with and must own. Today I had a chance to play with Betty Munster.

I made a Side Stepper card using the instructions in the Mini Master Pieces Book from Hougie

The Sentiment is a digi stamp from Stampin Up. I cut it into three sections to fit the three steps of the card.

I coloured the edge with Spun Sugar Distress Ink & then blinged it up with a bit of glitter glue.

Here's a close up of Betty Munster.

I coloured her with my Copics:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - BV000, C5, C7, C9, 100 with Y06 as the candle light shining on her hair
Eyes - BV02, BV13, BV17
Dress - V05, V06, V09, V99
Cake - RV53, RV55, V000
Candle - Y06, YR16, R29

I really hope you like my creation. Don't forget to leave a comment containing the word 'Birthday' to be in with a chance to win the Through the Purple Haze Challenges Hop prize, and my own Blog Candy Prize.

Your next stop on the Hop is with the lovely Joanie

Happy Hopping xxx

Something for my Craft Room

Every so often I move away from card making and make something a little different.
This week I made this framed picture to hang on the wall of my craft room.

The images are three digis from Scrappers Delights who are sponsoring our challenge at Digi Galore this fortnight.

Using Craft Artist 2 I merged

The three girls took ages to colour, but I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I was trying to follow the hair tips given in Kit and Clowder's Hair and Skin Class. I didn't get the skin right, but I'm pleased with their hair.

The sentiment came with Craft Honeys Scissors. I coloured the letters with my copics trying to give them some depth and dimension. I added stickles to give a touch of sparkle - cos every craft room needs sparkle.

Here are the girls in close up.
