Kenny K's Krafty Krew Challenge - Brown

Time for another challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Krew.
This time the theme is Anything Goes with an optional twist of Brown.

I don't usually use brown as a focal colour on my cards so this took some thinking about..
It's Father's Day today in the UK and there's a great Father's Day freebie on the Kenny K store.
Although it says Father's Day sentiments there are actually ones in there that would be suitable for lots of different occasions so make sure you grab it (it's on the left sidebar on the Kenny K store - scroll down to find it)

I decided to use Present Surprise and added two of the Father's Day sentiments
- one onto the tag, and one as the main sentiment.

I made the background by stamping the Stampin Up Hardwood stamp on brown paper with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

I then sent it through the printer to print the large sentiment.
To make the sentiment really POP I gave the top two lines several coatings with my Sakura Clear Glaze Pen. It added definition and shine to the words.

I printed the sentiment and added colour to the DAD! with my Copics, then cut out the letters and adhered them with foam pads.

I coloured Present Surprise with my Copics. Who knew there were so many shades of brown!!!

Show Some Attitude with Kenny K!

It's challenge time at Through the Purple Haze Challenges and this time the challenge is Show Some Attitude sponsored by Kenny K!

Here's what I created with Metal Babe

(If you're here for Kenny K's Krafty Krew blog hop please look at my other post a few days ago - comments on this are wonderful, but don't count towards the Hop xxx )

I used elements from Rock Star from the Silhouette Store

I used the 'Styles' options in Craft Artist 2 to create a graffiti look to the writing.

I distressed the red card of the star using Black Soot Distress ink and Champagne Mist All Purpose Ink from Stampin Up.

I coloured Metal Babe using my Copics and tried to give her a hair style with Attitude!

Nautical or Blue with Whimsy and Stars Studio

It challenge time over at Digi Galore and I had Amelie to the Beach to play with
from our sponsor Whimsy and Stars Studio.

I didn't have any beach or nautical themed papers in my collection so raided the internet and found the Summer Day's Freebie kit from Melissa Bennett on Sweet Shoppe Designs. I used 3 of the papers and some of the elements.

I made the sun in Craft Artist and added some Champagne Mist Stampin Up Multi Purpose Ink to give it some shimmer and shine.

The sentiment comes from Create with TLC.

Here's a close up of  Amelie to the Beach.

I coloured her with my Copics.

I hope you like her & hope you come and join us at Digi Galore x

Metal Drummer was just prefect for him! I think I've even seen that expression on his face!

I made the card using the A5 Stepper Card instructions from the Hougie Mini Masterpieces Book

I coloured Metal Dummer with my Copics and used a Gold Gel Pen for the cymbals.
