Designs By Ryn - Meet a Fish Called Wanda :D

I recently had a wonderful time staying with a great friend Brenda. We had lots of fun and I got to explore her craft stash which was great. She introduced me to three amazing things - Rubber Stamps by Designs By Ryn, Dylusions sprays and Cosmic Shimmer Sprays. We had a wonderful day playing and this is one of the creations I came up with:

I stamped Wanda on white card and then stamped her again on a scrap piece of paper cutting her out carefully using a craft knife. I then places the paper mask over Wanda before spraying the background with Sky Blue, Lime and Granite Dylusions (the old name from before they became a Ranger brand) and Aqua Lagoon and Midnight Blue Cosmic Shimmer Sprays. This gave it a shimmery effect but unfortunately that doesn't really show up on the photo.

I removed the mask from Wanda and used the outer bit of the mask to cover the background leaving Wanda uncovered. I then sprayed her with Burnt Orange and Pomegranate Dylusions (again the old colour names) and Silver Cosmic Shimmer Sprays.

I stamped the Rising Bubbles stamp then painted the bubble with water using a small brush. I then blotted the bubbles with kitchen paper. This removed a little bit of the colour & after repeating a couple of times it gave an effect I was pleased with on the bubbles. I finished them off with a small white highlight on each bubble.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Here are some of the other things I created - all playing really but great fun.

Wanda and Rising Bubbles before the mask idea

Dylusions and a range of Ryn's Rubber Stamps
I'm going to cut these out at a later day to add them to projects

Digi Galore Challenge - Spring - Beccy's Place

It's that time again - time for a new challenge over at Digi Galore. Come over & join us - it's very easy to do & not too many rules to abide by.

This fortnight our theme is Spring and we had a chance to play with digis from the lovely Beccy's Place. The prize is 3 of her digis of your choice.

I chose to use Green Frog and combine it with one of her freebies from her blog - Blossoms. I placed the Frog over the flower in Craft Artist 2 so he looked as though he's sitting on the flower peeking out. Spring finally seems to be here at last after a very long winter so some cheerful primroses seemed like a good idea.

I used one of Bird's free cut files to make the backing and created the sentiment myself.

As always I coloured with my trusty Promarkers.

Please come along & join us at Digi Galore - we'd love to see your creations x
