A Framed Layout

Hi everyone I've got a layout to share with you today that I made using Frosted Designs April Kit, Beauty Of Nature.  Love this kit, packed full of papers from 7 Dots Studio's new Nature Walk Collection and Marion Smith's Nirvana collection.  I ended up making an 8 x 10 layout of my grandparents that I framed.
Lots of layering, stamping and distressing!

There are still a few kits left.

Treasured

Hi everyone!  I'm here with you today to share a layout I created using
Frosted Designs March kit, "A Moment In Time." I love the papers in this month's kit with the rich colors of turquoise, black and pink. I did a lot of fussy cutting, distressing, masking, misting and stamping.

I worked with a picture of my Mom when she was a little girl.  Love the innocence in the picture. I did a lot of fussy cutting and tearing and distressing!  I took some of the Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry paint from the kit and added it to a mister along with some water to do some subtle misting on my background.  I also used the paint to color some of the lace from the kit.  I also used the paint on the butterfly along with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals, Bachelor Button Blue from the Prairie Wildflower Magical set which you can find in the Frosted Designs store here.

Here I've added a cluster of flowers which include the pink Prima Soporano flowers from the kit along with a blue Kaisercraft flower from the store which I dabbed with some of the African Jade Silks Acrylic glaze from the kit.

We still have a few kits left in the store.

My Sweet Honey

Hi everyone!  Are you tired of winter yet?  Had enough of the cold weather, sleet, freezing rain and show?  I know I am.  It's been a tough winter here in Maryland.   Today I have a layout to share that I created using
Frosted Designs February Shades of Spring kit and our new monthly kit challenge.  This month it is a recipe challenge.

Working with the beautiful papers and embellishments in the kit made my mind wander to what's ahead . . . warmer weather and the beautiful colors of the flowers that will be in my garden.

A few close ups:
I used the Distress Inks from the kit to color a few of my flowers.  Once I dabbed the flowers with ink I spritzed some water on them to even out the color and then pained them randomly with some Faber Castell Gesso.

Here I've tucked some of the pink tulle ribbon from the kit beneath my layering and beneath the tulle ribbon you can see where I used the Tim Holtz    Faded Dots stencil.  I randomly inked some of the dots with the Raspberry Distress ink.

I used the white Signo gel pen in the kit to add a little dimension to the printed flowers on the paper and added the wooden birdcage which I painted with some gesso.  I stamped the wooden bird with some pretty pastel blue ink.

I covered the wooden cherish word with the Tim Holtz Juniper Paint and then stamped over it and once dried, I randomly added some white gesso.

Please join us for Brandi's Kit Challenge, you can find all the details here and if you are interested in purchasing the February Kit, Shades of Spring,
you can find it here in the Frosted Designs store.

The Story Of Today

Hi everyone,  today I have a layout to share that I created using Frosted Designs January Love Is In The Air kit.

I love the colors in this months kit along with the kraft elements of the Maya Road tags and linen heart.   I love to cluster on my layouts and this months kit is packed with so many different bit and pieces.

I decided to change up the pink Petaloo flowers in the kit and used a Blood Orange Gelato to brighten them and tucked them beneath the white flowers.

I wanted to add some stamping to my layout and used the Blood Orange Gelato and colored over the stamp and then spritzed it with some water and stamped away.  Love the result:

Shadow Box

I know it been a few weeks since I've posted a project and paid everyone a visit.  I've been busy, busy, busy.  I'm delighted to say that after being out of work for 2 1/2 years I finally got a job!  It has been a hugh adjustment for me.  So  . .  between work, home and my mom, my free time is very limited.  I'm excited to share my project with you today.  Frosted Designs now offers a monthly Mixed Media/Paper kit.  I'm the kit coordinator and had a a lot of fun picking out the contents for our very first kit.  The kit's mixed media product is paint.

You can find more details about the kit here along with the kit subscriptions.

I knew when I received my kit that I was going to make a shadow box to
give as a gift to a special friend of mine.

I love all of the little details and the pops of pink.  To see more of my kit reveal please
stop by Frosted Designs.

Just The 2 Of Us

Lots of new things have been happening over at Frosted Designs!  They have opened an online store with lots of great products.   You find all the details here and enter for a chance to win one of two prizes.  It's my turn today on their blog and I am sharing a layout I created using  products from their online store.

I chose to work with the beautiful collection Shabbylicious by Fabscraps.  Love these papers!  They are perfect for any type of picture, but I decided to go with an old photo of my Mom and her brother.

Here I have added a cluster and used products from Kaisercraft Paper Blooms , an Um Wow Flair and a Fabscraps sticker.

I added some circles using the Heidi Swapp Confetti Stencil and some Golden Molding Paste.

What I love about the Heidi Swapp Confetti Stencil is that it has scattering of circles, stars and hearts on it.  Here I have added some hearts.

Please make sure you head on over to Frosted Designs and enter for a chance to win a prize.  While you are there make sure you sign up for their newsletter.

Starting in October they will be offering two kits for sale.  A Scrapbook Kit and a Mixed Media Paper Kit.  I'm thrilled to announce that I am the Mixed Media Paper Kit Coordinator.  I have been putting together some unique kits that offer products for those of you that are new to mixed media, as well as seasoned mixed media artists.  I can't wait to share the first kit with you next month.
