Colour Q Challenge #292

This is my first entry for the Colour Q Challenge. My inspiration came from a catalog advertisement in Crate and Barrel.  I stamped the various stamps in the four colors in the challenge and stamped the sentiment in black. After trimming the focus paper I matted it onto black and then attached to a piece of coastal cabana paper. I stamped the larger butterfly in cc brushed with Wink of Stella, attached some black rhinestones and attached  it with mounting tape.

Stamps - Paper Smooches "Flap Happy," PTI Comunique Curves (sentiment)
Paper - PTI white cs, SU! coastal cabana, black
Ink - SU! Strawberry Slush, Summer Sun, Tangelo Twist, Coastal Cabana, MFT Black Licorice
Other - Wink of Stella, black rhinestones, mounting tape

Addicted to CAS: Code Word ANIMAL

Isn't this image the cutest?  A while back someone donated this stamp to our card group and I put it away until the right challenge came along. Yeah today is the day. As usual I stamped and heat embossed and colored with copics. I dry embossed a second piece of white card stock and then die cut the circle. After attaching these two pieces together I mounted onto a piece of SU! regal rose cs. I like this sentiment but could not decide if I should just leave the card plain, and then I played with the placement of the sentiment, once I colored the edges and then I cut off a third word. What I am trying to say is I played around way to long with the sentiment. I think the textured embossing folder also looks warm and fuzzy. That is it - done.

Stamps - Hero Arts (1985 - no name), Paper Smooches "Party Posse"
Paper - Neenah, SU! Regal Rose
Embossing Folder - Sizzix/SU!
Die Cut - Nestabilities "Circles"
Ink - Copics, Versafine

CAS Colours & Sketches #125

This is my first time entering a card to CAS Colours & Sketches. The featured card was an Iris and I had this stamp which I had never used so decided to make a card and enter it. I tried to match my copics as close to the SU! colors and actually looked at a photo I had taken a while back of Irises in a yard. I stamped with Versafine both the flowers and the sentiment and then colored with copics. I mounted this piece onto a piece of SU! garden green card stock and then a second piece of white paper.

Stamps - Inspired by Stamping "Beautiful Iris, " PTI "Communique Curves"
Paper - Neenah, SU! Garden Green
Copics - YG17, G17, Y35, V01, V06, V17, BG10

Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes"

This image is so cute and I have been waiting to make a card to submit to Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes."  I stamped the image onto neenah paper and colored with copics and then die cut it and a second piece of paper. This piece was mounted onto a second piece of white card stock that I had dry embossed. I also die cut the fish tail and stamped the sentiment. I purchased the SU!  stamp set strictly for this sentiment which cracks me up (and maybe the kitty too).

Stamps - Stampendous "Icing Fluffles," SU! "Yippee Skippee"
Embossing Folder - Quickutz "Line and Dots"
Die Cuts - MFT Blue Print 18, Pierced Square
Paper - Neenah, SU! Green Galore
Ink - Copics, Versafine

CASology: Week 147 WEDDING

This card was made for the current CASology challenge and the cue word is wedding. I chose two different stamps. The champagne glasses were stamped with VersaMark and then I heat embossed with gold powder. Next I used VersaFine and heat embossed with clear powder and then colored with copics. This focal piece was trimmed and mounted onto gold glitter cs and then attached to a second piece of white card stock. Lastly I used Wink of  Stella over the copic colored sentiment and then added a touch of  clear crystal bling for the champagne bubbles.

Paper - Michael's white card stock, snippet of gold card stock
Stamps - Stamplorations "Eat, Drink, Be Merry", SU! sentiment
Other - Copics, VersaMark, Versafine, clear embossing powder, gold embossing powder, crystal bling (Recollections), Wink of Stella

Addicted to CAS: "BIRDS"

Happy Mother's Day

A quiet day for the mister and myself. He retreated to the loft and the TV and I to the craft room. For this card I used all NBUS from Paper Smooches. First I stamped the birds and then colored with copics and then die cut. I found a piece of  stamped background paper and die cut this neat frame. I stamped the sentiment and fish tailed one end. I added a little bling and attached the top layer to a second piece of white card stock.

Stamps - Paper Smooches "My Peeps," Buddies (sentiment)
Dies - Paper Smooches "My Peeps", "Frame 2"
Paper - Neenah, snippet of previously colored background paper
Ink - Memento, Copics
Other - bling, mounting tape

Seize the Birthday: Use the Negative

Some time ago I stamped the flower image and then it sat in a box. At a later date I added the background stamp and again I put it aside. After coloring with copics I put it away again. I guess you could say I never gave up on this unfinished piece until this challenge and I selected a die and put everything together.  Finally I finished this image and I like what transpired. I did not give up because I always found the stamp interesting. The finishing touch was to select the right sentiment and I think what I chose is just perfect.

Stamps - SU! "French Script," Studio G "Double Vision," SU! "Blooming with Kindness"
Die Cut - Nestabilities Large Scallop Octagon
Paper - SU! Crisp Cantaloupe, Neenah
Ink - Copic, Memento Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa
