The tradition of making very tall palms is still cultivated. They sometimes reach 7 to 8 meters and are supposed to protect the house from evil spirits.
La tradition de faire de très grand rameaux demeure. Ils atteignent parfois 7 à 8 mètres de haut et sont supposés protéger la maison contre les mauvais esprits.

there is a special ritual to bake special kinds of bread, they are called "byśki" (figures of wild and later farm animals)
they were supposed to make the next year's animal breeding successful ...
il y a une tradition de préparer des pains spéciaux, appelés "byśki" (représentants des animaux sauvages puis plus tard des animaux de la ferme),
ils étaient censés rendre l'élevage de l'année à venir fructueux ...
