{SPD} July Sweet2Repeat Hop!

Hi Crafty Friends!

It’s time again for our Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop !  Now that so many of you have our June Product Release in your hot little hands, our Pod Squad of designers have geared up to inspire you with even MORE creative possibilities featuring our newest and hottest products!

For my card, I used the amazing large lettered stamp from the set HB2U, as well as the balloons and string from that set. I'm telling you, at $12.99 you NEED this set!! So cheap and easy to whip up a fantastic birthday card!!! I added some bits of sequins from the Sea Spray mix.

 Here's the inside of my card! It features a sentiment from the set Celebrate all the Things as well as the balloons from above mentioned set! You might notice the the balloons look a bit different- just goes to show you how different paper takes on ink. This is a cheap recollections brand from Michaels that I use for card bases and occasionally the inside of my coloured CS bases so theres white CS to write your message on. the front white CS is X-press It Blending Card from Copics.

{SPD} Sweet Celebration

Hello Friends! I have a card to share with you today using SugarPea Designs newest release! This card was made using all dies, NO Stamps!! I cut out the popsicle using elements from the SugarCuts die set 'Summer Scoops' and also used 'Celebrate' for the sentiment- I cut 3 of everything to add some dimension. I used Glossy Accents and then lightly sprinkled loose clear glitter on for a sparkly affect. The stitched rectangle is from the set 'Birthday Journal Card' ( <- cool="" cuz="" dies="" font="" has="" in="" it="" nbsp="" need="" of="" tons="" which="" you="">

{SPD} Gift Greetings

So yesterday I gave you a little peek of todays project- it's a fun little gift card holder! I stamped one of the sentiments on the inside, as well as one on the outside.

Here it is, secured. The top part of the button is adhered with hot glue, with the top strings coming out through the upper two holes, and the bottom two holes of the button are left free, so that you can run the bottom strings easily through. Pull tight, and tie a bow and the gift card is closed! Clear as mud? There's a notched cut that you can use, but I found with 2 layers of DP over CS, it was a little too bulky for the tab to work properly.

{SPD} Bring on the Cake/ HB2U

I created a little birthday set with both of these new stamp sets and new (and older) dies! The rest of my gift set will be revealed tomorrow! For now I'll give you a little sneak peek!

I thought this would look neat as a chalkboard art card with the topsy turvy cake and the mixed font sentiment, as well as streamers. The sentiment and cake were embossed but the streamers were just stamped in white ink for a fainter look.

{SPD} Fishing Dad

Hey there! Today I have a card to show you that I made for my boys to give their Daddy on Father's Day this Sunday! This outdoorsman is from the set Great Catch, as well as the sentiment, which I snipped apart (Gasp!) and stamped in black and coloured ink. I did some machine stitching and added a twine button for an accent. I used this weeks Mix It Up Challenge for the sketch inspiration!

{SPD} Lick the Bowl!

Hey there! I'm dropping in with a quick post for SugarPea Designs! I sometimes just get the itch to colour, and this image from Whisky Business is just what I needed! I love little characters like this one :) And I love baking cakes and cupcakes, so of course I adore this stamp set!! I coloured her up to match the DP that I found in my hoard of 6x6 pads and added some sponging, stitching and a little cluster of buttons and twine. I think this sentiment is pretty much my life mantra LOL!! I added a splooch of cake batter to the spatula for fun :)
