Buddy List Updated

Hello from your friendly Admin!
You may notice a few more buddies in the list. I just have a couple of comments to our Buddies that email their posts to the blog. You need to write your name in the body of your post (that you email). Since the blog thinks all emailed posts come from me. So make sure you say who you are in your post, so that people will know to whom they are commenting and what not.
Please don't forget to include the name of the cart, artist, and any stats on your piece. Fabric type, count, color, type of floss (DMC or silk?), etc. People want to know these things. Also, try to post at least once a week, we usually ask for a post on Thursdays, but you may post whenever you can, I know life is busy!

New Way for Buddies to Post

Thanks to Marianela for telling me how to do this.  I am sending this post from my email account.  We have set up an email address where Buddies can send their posts, pictures and all, and it will Publish the emails as Posts immediately.

So Buddies don't have to email their info to a member and wait to have their posts published.  By sending your posts to this email address, they will automatically publish to the blog.  (how great is that!?)  But the email address is secure so I won't post it here.  Buddies start checking your mail as I will be sending out this super secret email address shortly.

Request for Buddies

Hi All!
Your friendly Admin here with a request.
First, I want to thank you all for posting your fantastic work! It's all so stunning! I don't always get the chance to comment, but I do read/keep up with all the posts and I am always just knocked out by all the talented people here.

Next, I'm putting out the call for buddies again. Our membership is full, and we already have many members that have paired up with more than one buddy (thank you to those of you that have a buddy or more than one buddy). If you are a full posting member and you haven't joined up with a buddy yet, would you please consider it? I have current requests, and I would hate to have to turn anyone away. If you're interested in taking on a buddy please email me.

Admin Update

I just have to say that you all just bowl me over. Not only are you all fantastic stitchers, but you are all so willing to help one another! I put out the call for multilingual buddies, and you answered that call. I've linked up an Italian speaking member with a new Italian buddy. So far I've had responses from members that speak German, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, and French. You people are wonderful! I am keeping a list of all of you that agreed to be buddies, including the languages that you speak. I'll update my list as I get more requests. So if you've sent me an email volunteering thank you, I have you on my list and when stitchers request membership I'll link you up. I am in no way closing the call for volunteers, I'm jut keeping you updated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are all truly fantastic people!

Blog Buddies

Technology has been fighting me all day. First Yahoo, then Yahoo mail, then Blogger, and of course my own computer! My favorite Crocs, which I have been wearing for a year, just rubbed me a blister while walking the dog!

Anyway, a quick update...

Every stitcher on the waiting list has been contacted. I know for sure that Valerie J., Anna, MarchAnn, and Chrizette wil be joining us! Please be patient a few more days to allow the others to respond, so I can make mindful matches.

Your Attention, Please

As you all know, Our Friends' HAED SAL blog is limited to 100 members. This is a technicality of Blogger, not a limit set by Cindy F. or Wendy. Every three months Cindy and Wendy contact inactive members in hopes of opening up membership. Even so, it seems to me that there is very little member turnover, which means those stitchers on the waiting list, who compliment and encourage us, will continue waiting for quite some time.

I approached Cindy and Wendy with an idea, and they have allowed me to present it to you all. I'm thinking of a " blog buddy" system. Current members would volunteer to receive one e-mail a week from a stitcher on the waiting list. All you have to do is post their progress update and pics as you would your own, of course being clear whose update it is. That's it! The person on the waiting list gets to share their progress on our blog and receive comments and we make new friends and see new patterns evolve.

Again, this is voluntary. If you are interested in helping, please comment on this post or e-mail me privately, and include your e-mail addy. At the end of the month, I will get together with Cindy and Wendy to match up members and those on the waiting list. I'll then contact everyone involved.
