Madonna JC Christensen framed

Finally she is home again. I brought her by the framer 10 december. But we went away with the holidays and he closes the shop for two weeks.
But something to look out for .I think she is pretty done.

I did it !!!!

Last week it was too cold to be outside. So, I have finished the Madonna. With the last stitches my thoughts went out to another Christmas project. I think it will be a Christmas stocking from Cari Buzaik (Sapphire).

The framer has called, he said that the Train of Dreams was framed. Tomorrow we get that first. I will take the Madonna with me to search out a beautiful frame for it. Of course I will show how the train has become. I am also very curious.

We woke up this morning in a frozen world. For the first time this is pretty frozen. Not yet seen snow. I have brownies in the oven. So with a nice cup of coffee, we can handle the frost.


Last week I cast my way to the Madonna. I want her so much done this year. And there is only one hitch to come and then it will not work. Still about 14,000 stitches to go. If you would like something then it usually succeeds.

Sanne has a very nice Frame selected for the train. About three weeks he is ready. Then I can show it to everyone.


Finally almost December. I had the Train of Dreams exactly finished on time. Because I have big plans for the Madonna of Christensen. Who actually I want to have done this year.
Now I had to do four pages of the Madonna. I have one finished now. A total of 6200 stitches done this week. Three pages to go. Actually, it must be finished before Christmas because then I have no time to spend on it anymore. So fingers crossed ..

Finaly I finished the Middle piece of the Madonna. There were no more ours in a day to stitch.

Now I am back at the Sifter from Williams. I peaked at everybodys work between job's. It is Gorgeous what everybody is doing !!!!

In the past week, I still quite manage it. To get to the end of the page and begin also the other. I did not tought I could. The dress is very red. But it's part of the chart. I still hope to get at the yellow area next week. But our youngest son, Yuri, is getting out of the house and we will help him much. Never mind. And celebrate old and new. And then everything is there again and will get a busy year started. In January Ger parents are married 60 years. Ivan, our oldest, will marry in April. As for the rest of the year, will remain a surprise.

It take a few days to start again with the madonna. The colors were everyware.

It was my own fault. If you are not working so longat it, then everything is lost in the boxes. But once again started, it is nice again all the cheerful colors. I hope to have finished this page with Christmas.

Mystery and Madonna

Well ladys, after finishing the Firefly time fore new stuff. The Mystery project !!!!! 3700 stitches in 310 (black as you all know) Guess !!!! (hint) an other name for it is "Dog of the king in yellow"

And some days were spend into the Madonna. below the tree there is some grass and ground to see.....

Sorry that it took two weeks for an update. But very hot weather, sick (again) and much work. But I have this morning finalized the Firefly. Finally finished so I can go to the Madonna of Christensen. Everyone has a lot of progress. Great. all a good stitching week.

I add a picture of the Madonna were I was ended in april I believe...... So you can see next week or I made any progress. But my mil is brought to the hospital so i hope i can show some progress. life is more inportent than any stitching on this world i think........

I finished the page.... wow and her face turned out beautiful !! I go further with the Firefly of Brigit Ashwood. I see all the updates from everybody you all did a good job last week.. and thursday. See you all next week lady's.

Well I have done a page, but I couldnt rotate my wips because I want to see how her face is gonna be. I usualy dont do to much country stitches because I am afraid to do it wrong.

So nice to be here

Hoi... I am Astrid. Living in the Netherlands. Mother of two sons. (25 and 23) Husband Ger is the best...... and we are also parents of a great Dane named Falco.... this dog is 7,5 years old. My stitching carriere began 25 years ago with the birth of my son. 4 years ago I met a virus called HAED. I infected my father with the same virus. He has now accomplished 4 large pieces.

I like the large projects very much. I like Marchetti, Christensen, Kinuko Y craft. and more....

O and very important .... Sheila Wolk.....

I show some Wips. I rotate my projects when I finish a page.
