update on Wizard's emissary

I work on Wizard's Emissary on the first weekend of every month. Its coming along nicely now. I love the details in this piece. Its such an easy stitch to do. There are nice blocks of colour and not too much confetti and yet the colours all blend in nicely.

I have been enjoying looking at everyone's progress. There are some lovely charts being done.

Stitching update

Well, I have been a very busy stitcher for the past week. Last Saturday, I started to stitch page 9 of Wizard's Emissary and finished the page yesterday. It took only 8 days to do the entire page. Here is a picture of the project so far and a closeup of the page I just finished doing. I am really loving the details in this project and can hardly put it down to do other things. I am ready to start on page 10. If I can keep up this pace, I should have the next row of pages done in a couple of months, but I know that won't happen. I find that after a while, I need to put the project down and work on something different for a few days. Out of all the HAED charts that I have started, I think this is my favourite one. I keep coming back to it fairly often.

Lesley's update for April 08, 2009

I finished my letter G last month. It turned out really nicely. I love how these letter stitch up. They are fairly quick to do and turn out lovely. I think I may be trying my hand at making pillows this summer. I am not sure yet what I want to get for the incentive program, but it will probably be another letter.

I finally managed to get the first row of pages finished on Wizard's Emissary this week. It has only taken me 14 months to complete and I have another 6 rows to do. I need to either concentrate more on this one or get faster needles. Love the detail in the stonework though and can's wait to see what the next row brings me. I should be starting the wizard's hat and continuing with the dragon on the right hand side.
March also saw a restart on my Daydreaming Fairy. I finally found the perfect material for her. She is being done on 22 count Hardanger material and it is working up just great. I managed to get all of this done in four days over the challenge SAL weekend on the forum. Can't wait to get to the hair and face on the rest of page 1 and 2. I will be working on this again this weekend so hope to get some of it done.

Yours in stitching,

Lesley

Hello from Lesley

Hi, I just want to say hi to everyone here. I love HAED charts and am busy working on a number of them. I have finished one -- the Letter L and have 6 more in the progress of being done. I have a companion to the L with the Letter G and it is over half finished now. I am hoping to get them made into pillows for Hubby and myself.

I am also working on Wizard's Emissary and have nearly completed the first row of pages. I have Daydreaming Fairy which is part of the year long SAL on the forum. One of my favourite artists on the site is Ciro Marchetti. I have a number of his charts and am working on two. Ancient Eygpt and Peacock's Lagoon. The final chart that I am working on at the moment is Pink Daydreams. I have the first page done and it is on the back burner right now waiting for me to finish a few others.

The rest of my work in progress.
