Suojatie / Crosswalk

Meillä riehuu syysflunssakausi ja tietenkin minä sellaisen sain. Viikko meni pelkästään olemiseen ja nukkumiseen. Onneksi olin jo lähes kunnossa, kun kotiini tuli asunnonnäyttö. Oli lähdettävä ulos, eli oli mun eka päivä ulkona. En kuitenkaan jaksanut vielä lähteä kauemmaksi kuin lähikahvilaan puoleksi tunniksi. 

Siinä istuskelin kamera vahdissa, joskos tapahtuisi jotain ikuistettavaa. 

Ei mitään dramaattista, joten otin kadun ylityksistä kuvia. 

Ja ei, asuntoni ei mennyt kaupaksi. Katsoja oli sijoittaja, joka ei tarjoa kovin hyvää hintaa.

We have a flu season in full swing and of course I got one. I spent the week just being and sleeping. 

Luckily I was almost fine when a half-hour apartment viewing came to my apartment. 

I had to leave the house, it was my first day out. 

However, I didn’t have the energy to go further than the local café. There I sat with my camera on guard in case something worth capturing happened. Nothing dramatic, so I took pictures of the street crossings. 

And no, my apartment hasn’t sold yet. The viewer was an investor who didn’t offer a very good price.

 

Keväinen toritapahtuma / Spring market event

Kevät on tullut ja lumi sulannut. Se suli nopeasti, parissa päivässä.

Riihimäen keskusta on aika usein lähes autio silloin kun keskustassa kävelen.

Spring has come and the snow has melted. It melted quickly, within a couple of days.

The center of Riihimäki is quite often almost deserted when I walk there.

Sunnuntaina oli autotapahtuma torilla. Ja huomasin taas kerran, että onhan täällä ihmisiä.

On Sunday, there was a car event at the market. And I noticed that there are people here, after all.

Tällaisilla mönkijöillä nuoriso ajelee täällä, tosin vanhemmilla malleilla.

ATVs like this are used by the youth here, albeit with older models.

Vanhaa tavaraa. / Old stuff.

Ei vielä ole heitetty kaikkia talvivaatteita pois. Mutta pikkuhiljaa. Tälle viikolle on povattu +17 °C.

Not all winter clothes have been thrown away yet. But little by little. +17 °C is predicted for this week.

Silmut aukenivat nopeasti ja pian on vihreät lehdet puissa. Toivottavasti, pitkän talven jälkeen.

The buds opened quickly and soon there will be green leaves on the trees. Hopefully, after a long winter.

Lukutauko / Reading break

Ei ole enää tavallinen näky kirjoja luettavan ulkona. Ja kun näin tämän lukevan pariskunnan, minun oli ihan pakko pysähtyä ja pyytää lupa kuvanotolle. He pitivät paussia pyöräilystä ja lukevat aina tilaisuuden tullen. Meille syntyi myös todella kiva ja mielenkiintoinen keskustelu kirjoista ja elämästä yleensä.

It's not any more a common sight to see books being read outdoors. And when I saw this couple sitting in a bench and reading I had to stop and ask permission to take a photo. They took a break from cycling and read every chance they get. We also had a very nice and interesting discussion about books and life in general.

Ihmisiä ulkona / People outside

 

Välillä jopa aurinkokin ilmestyy. Ja silloin on kiva kävellä (ja kuvata salaa ihmisiä).

Sometimes you can even see the sun. And then it's nice to walk (and covertly photograph people).

Aurinko on matalalla ja silloin on pitkät varjot.

The sun is low and the shadows are long.

Kesän viime helteet / The last summer heat

 

Viimeiset hellepäivät. Ensi viikolla povataan jo syksyä ja kylmenevää.

The last warm days. Next week we are already expecting autumn and getting colder.

Luonto on niin lähellä, että tuntuu kuin olisi kaukana kaikesta uuden rakentamisesta.

Nature is so close that you feel as if you are far away from all the new construction.

Mieluummin känny kuin maisema.

Prefer a cell phone rather than the landscape.

Kuvat ei ihan tätä päivää.. nyt on harmaata ja kylmää, kuten jo muutamana päivänä aiemminkin.

The pictures are not quite to this day, it's gray and cold like it was the day before.
