Scrapbook Heaven's April Kit Continued!

When I saw the strip of green cardstock in fringe and scallops I immediately thought of Easter Grass. So I hand cut some Easter Eggs and hid them in the grass! Hope you are having a great day!

WOW its April already!!!!!! We have been busy! Which honestly busy is the norm for us so know that when I say busy I mean busier than normal :D We have now completed our first softball tournament of the season and while the girls didn't win, once they got going they played like a team so yeah! Baseball season officially starts for Alex next week! And the musical is next week!!! More fun with KnK's September Kit

wow I can't believe the fun I have been having with the KnK September kit ! and I still have paper to spare!!! I made this all purpose card. The Kraft paper collection is so versatile! And you can add any color with it and it seems to create this instant "pop" . Here i paired it with some white core purple card stock. I did add some marshmallow glimmer mist to the flower for some sparkle. Have you tried these flowers yet? you really need to!! I am addicted!!

Color me Crazy fun!

The Petaloo Color me Crazy flowers are by far my favorite flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that they come in all sizes and flower shapes. I love everything you can do with them. You can use them as is as a white flower, you can spritz then with Smooch spray or glimmer mist, you can stamp on them you can cut the 5 petal one and make them into butterflies, you can color them with copics ...which is kinda what I did here. I used a copic marker to color just the edges of the flower to match the paper. I then made the layered flower using this technique that Kathy linked up for us on the message board . The colors in the first card are a little off. (I really think my camera photo software is a little funky it doesn't always do what i want it to do :( ) The second picture shows the true colors. Looking at the close up I now think I could/should have added a touch of Glossy Accents or glitter to the flower edges. So, what have you done with these flowers??? Don't miss these flower...

a little silliness

I always try to let the kids make a silly picture when we are done with a photo shoot! Well I finally decided to scrap one! I used marshmallow glimmer mist on the flowers! I used KnK's April Kit. I cut the tips off of some of the pins to create the flower centers. Just a word of warning don't use a button shank remover.. Lets just say in the battle between the pins and the shank remover...... the pin won! and I am in need of a new shank remover :(

KnK April Kit creations #2

I added some prima flowers (addons from March KnK Kit) and the large center flower is made from 3 COLOR ME Crazy flowers from March kit! I used copic markers to color in the flower.

KnK April Kit creations #1

I wanted to share one of my layouts with the April KnK kit! I just love Prima papers!!!!!!!!!! and I can't get enough of those COLOR ME CRAZY flowers that were in March kit! The ones on this layout were sprayed with glimmer mist!

I challenge You

Jules and I were talking the other day about how many tools we have that we just don't use enough. So we thought we needed to issue a challenge. Surely we can't be the only 2 people out there that under-use their tools *wink*. SO My challenge to you is to use your border punches. I mean really use them. Pick one of them and use it to make 3 cards. I pushed it a little farther and tried to make 3 different occassion cards. I used my February Kit from KNK for these!

So You

I really loved this picture of Meagan from last spring. We were in the middle of a graduation day photo shoot and she decided to start making faces at the tree. Silly girl! I used the February Kit from KNK for this layout! I think this may be the first time I ever used grey as a background. I really like it!

Doesn't this kit look fun??? Grunge Paper, bingo cards, Lily Bee and Jillibean Soup! Can't wait til this one arrives on my door!!!!!!!!!!!!!

January Kit Creations

I loved the colors in this kit! I decided to do a two pager and used pictures from my daughters graduation. Hope you enjoy. I even used my sizzix and my cricut. Part of my New Years Resolution... more on that tomorrow :D

KnKs January Kit

Check Out this lovely kit from KNK . I just love the bright colors! Perfect for beating January or Winter blahs! Included in the kit are 3 precut cards and envelopes. Below I show my use of one. The Envelopes are so cool as they are reversible (black with white design)

Pick of the Patch

Another example of just how lovely the KNK November Kit is!!!! I love the Webster's lettering and the wood pumpkin from Harmonie! One of the Sad things about the grils getting older is that Meagan wasnt quite as excited this year about getting and carving pumpkins. She was still super excited about trick or treating tho as she and the entourage joined Alex and I for trick or treating.

Pilgrims and Indians

I made this Layout using my yummy KNK November Kit . I love love love the colors in this kit!!!! Just let me say my picture of this layout does not do it justice. The glare is hiding the texture of the leaf paper on the background :( . And just wait until you see the December kit!!!! wowsa!!! 2 altered items, a card and a layout so far and still going strong!!!!!

More KnK Kit creations

More October Kit Fun

I made this in honor of Grandparent's Day. I started thinking back on the things I learned from my grandparents (besides the fact that grandma's freezer is always stocked with ice cream ;) ). It is the weekend and Meagan has lots of activities scheduled and my hubby is sick so hoping to sneak in so scrappy time! I woke up with this cool idea and I may try it out.:D

another October KnK Kit Creation

I have been wanting a place where I can add some of my sketches and I thought this would be the perfect place :D. Watch soon for my upcoming card kit :D

KnK's October Kit is here!

I seriously love these colors! At first I admit I was a little scared of the purple..but honestly the purples and green go together so well!! And this month the kit contains Core'dinations Cardstock ! which is so fun to play with! Here are close ups of those flowers!
