Major Restocking!!!

Happy Monday Morning!!

So Saturday was finally the day when I was able to load up the truck {more than once} and haul some HUGE LOADS to the shop for some MAJOR RESTOCKING!

This was the first load....


all these loads include my Lucketts finds as well as all the other goodies I picked up in Virginia and Maryland!

This is just the first load of 3....yep THREE that we hauled over there!

I always get the shop crammed for our Sunday at the Marketplace event which just so happens to be THIS COMING SUNDAY ~ June 12th !

You don't want to miss out on all this goodness!

SpringTyme Shop Pics!

Happy Tuesday!

I am heading out to re-stock my Sleepy Poet booth today, but before I left I wanted to post some shop photos that I was able to snap on Saturday between customers!

It was such a great day Saturday...nothing special, no open house or anything, just a normal Saturday and it was soooo great seeing so many of my wonderful friends and customers. The weather was nice and warm and it really felt like Spring had hit the Carolinas.

What a great feeling! It always does my heart good when I get to see you all!

So enough yip yap you say?? You want the pics already??

Got Junk?

Hello friends!

Seems like this last week all I have done is run..run..run..!

But in a good way!

These last few weeks have been all about the shop.

Once the Christmas stuff comes down~it's time to fill er back up!

And BOY do I have the junk!

After Atlanta, MR.OTM and I headed out for a junk trip for a few days and here are few treasures we came home with.....be prepared...there's a few drool worthy ones....don't say I didn't warn ya...*wink*

This little concrete birdbath top came from my friend Cindy...it came with dirt and all!

Seems I've acquired a new assistant at the shop. Meet Bibi! Here she is doing quality control on this awesome old folding lawn chair. Yep...it's sturdy!

This was a FAV with a capital F!

Flaky, chippy, rusty, crackley.......ahhhhhh

And this mirror made me forget my manners!

Check out this original finish....yummy

And then I saw this....a HUGE old wooden dough bowl in white paint.

That one did me in.

It* was* calling *my *name.

So I listened and bought it! Ha!!

All these items will be heading either toward the shop or one of the booth spaces.

You might not see the dough bowl though.

Right now it's sitting in the middle of my coffee table and it looks pretty darn good!

Today it was warm here so I was able to get some great pieces painted for the shop.

I have new stuff coming in everyday.
Think...birds, nests, concrete, garlands, candles, pillows, and a whole lot more.

Don't you just love this time of year?

Home Again!

Just wanted to let you all know that I made it to Atlanta and back home safe and sound!

What a trip! Atlanta has no concept on how to de-ice anything!

I've got LOTS to tell ya but no time to do it!

Apothecary was a recent find! I am loving this and plan on making room for it in my office after the holidays are over.

Wanna to know something neat? This big old cupboard is actually Steven Spieburg's! It belongs to my landlords now but for those of you that don't know, the movie The Color Purple was filmed in Marshville (where my shop is located). My shop was actually the General Store in the movie! If you were to go watch the movie right now, you would see my shop~ the front porch~ everything! Oprah has been in my shop! Sure wish I had had it back then!! Sure wish she'd come back! Anyway back to the cupboard....Steven had two of these built as props for the movie and only one survived. It's a love/ hate relationship with the thing. It holds a TON, it weighs a TON, I can't ever move it and nothing ever sold from the bottom shelves. I just added the burlap a few weeks ago and I am loving it right now. However, there are those days I would love to call Spielburg and ask him to come pick it up!

My Christmas booth at The Depot

Happy Sunday Evening Bloggies!

I spent the afternoon today getting my booth at The Depot ready for Christmas.

I had some awesome elf helpers with me~ Mr. OTM and his brother Ron couldn't think of anything better that they would want to do today(......watch football, get a root canal.....) so they jumped at the chance to help me hang snowflakes, move furniture, load furniture and so on!

In doing so, I thought you might all enjoy some pics of how it turned out.

Well there ya have it! In case you are not familiar with The Depot , it is 88,000 square feet of pure drool worthy booths all set up inside an old Cannon Mills (think pillow cases ) building located in Concord North Carolina.

My booth is W12 in the first building. I was fortunate to be chosen as Vendor of the Month for November in our recent newsletter! A special honor considering the talent surrounding me there!

This week ahead will be a BUSY one for sure! Our annual

Christmas Tyme at the Marketplace kicks off Friday evening with our popular

CandleLight Night from 6-9. The festivities continue Saturday and Sunday from 10-6.
