Happily Ever After Times 2

Good morning crafty friends! It's my day on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I have 2
classy cards to share with you using the Happily Ever After stamp set.
I'm so smitten with these stamps and I had an idea for a card
using the sweet images and some really pretty flowers.

For my first card I used the Watercolored Stripes Cover Die
from Altenew for the background.
I love the thick uneven stripes on this die!
I cut it out in black card stock and adhered it to a white card base.
I wanted a black and white background
so that the pretty red roses would really stand out.
I colored the sweet couple from Happily Ever After with my Copic markers
and cut them out with my scan n cut machine.
I watercolored and cut out several roses and leaves from the Altenew
Rose Flurries 3-D die set and arranged them in a bouquet
in the top left corner. I popped my sweet couple up on foam tape in the
bottom right corner and added a few Kat Scrappiness
Clear Jewels for some sparkle and shine.
For my sentiment I added a large "Love" die cut in
silver foil layered on a vellum background.
This beautiful die is from the Kat Scrappiness I Love You Shadow Dies.

For my second card I used the same couple but with a much lighter
and softer background. I used the Linked Circles Cover Panel from Reverse Confetti.
Instead of cutting it out, I decided to emboss it this time.
I love the subtle texture it gives to a card background.
I colored the couple with my Copic markers and
sent them to the scan n cut once again. For my flowers on this card I used the
Altenew Rose Flurries 3-D die set again. For this card I used
smaller roses in a simple cluster at the top middle of the card.
I added the same Kat Scrappiness Clear Jewels for shine and I embossed the sentiment
from Happily Ever After on to a piece of vellum at the bottom of the card.

One stamp set with 2 very different looks!
I hope you enjoyed my 2 cards today, I'd love to know
which card you liked best!

Papertrey Ink Create Along With Us January 2018

I love the days where I can spend time crafting.  Lately I've had a lot of them and I am very grateful.  Today I am playing along with Papertrey Ink and their Create Along With Us for January 2018.  I've been following PTI for years and I am always in awe of the cards and projects that their design team comes up with.  These are some crazy talented women and they never cease to amaze me.  I have always loved Melissa's shabby style, Betsy's use of bright colors and Dawn's clean and simple cards.  Today I got some inspiration from Melissa's card from release day 2.  She layered a heart over a fancy frame and I love that look!

Since Valentine's day is just around the corner I decided to watercolor a Wonky Heart die from Simon Says Stamp. Kristina Werner recently shared a video where she used Arteza markers to watercolor with a piece of acetate so I tried it and loved it.  I used the Uppercase Block Alphabet dies from Papertrey to cut out the word LOVE in gold foil paper.  I used the inlaid die cutting technique to nest the letters back into the heart. A scalloped vellum rectangle with some gold print was the perfect backdrop for the pretty heart.  I finished off the project with some gold thread and a few dainty sequins from The Ton.

I also bought a new toy recently that I wanted to share.  It's called a Crystal Katana and it works really well at picking up sequins and gluing them down.  It's the best placement tool I've ever used!  You can see a demo on YouTube of it.  They sell it on Amazon and at Kat Scrappiness, check it out!

I am in love with this card and I can't wait to get my new PTI goodies in the mail that I ordered last night.
Have a wonderful week everyone and get some crafty time in!
