Emperor Dragonfly


Lèse-Majesté ou pas, il me la fallait celle-ci ! Mais tout a un prix, et c'est avant 7 h 
mercredi que j'étais à l'étang voisin. Les autres saisons, je ne voyais que des exuvies,
mais la veille un (ou une) jeune Anax frais émergé est parti de la rive d'un autre étang
à 3 m de moi, je me suis donc dis que le moment pouvait être bien choisi !
Stratégie : vu que les rives sont bordées d'un épais rideau de joncs rendant
les émergences difficiles à apercevoir, attaquer plutôt par le large :
waders et hop à l'eau ! J'allais achever le tour de la partie visitable de l'étang,
bingo ! Pas deux, pas trois, une seule ! Premier cliché vers 7 h 30, envol
vers 9 h 40, seule image avec un tout petit rayon de soleil.
Conditions de lumière pas simples, ciel couvert, et environnement chargé,
pas facile, mais bon, c'est ça qui est agréable, mais peux mieux faire...

Un Anax que nous avons photographié avec Alain toujours dans les ces lagunes de Gironde si riches en espèces d'odonates. Une fois de plus une botte a pris l'eau... what's new!!

Tapering or actually newborn young emperor dragonflies

I saw the larva on the reeds in the water but I found these insects quite scary when I saw them on the blog of others. Now I suddenly stood there with my top pinch shaved it was still very special to experience. And I realized only later when the dragonflies began to color up that it was the Emperor Dragonfly.
