I made up this cute burlap heart for our YW board. It was for a yearly theme of our hearts being knitted together as one. I made a knitted strip of red in the garter stitch to frame out the heart.
I cut a heart shape out of a white foam board.
I then placed the burlap over the board.
Then cut out the heart with
an inch to spare for binding.
I turned the edge of the burlap over and hot glued it to the back of the heart.
Masking tape concealed the rough edge.
I then positioned the knitted strip to the form of the heart and hot glued it into place.
I wound up some yarn balls and glued them as my decorative accent.
I also used four toothpicks and beads
to create the knitting needles.
This is the almost finished heart.
I then had to add some SPARKLE...so I used tacky glue to adhere some opal glitter
around the frame of the heart.
I then made up some heart medallions and cut them out for our YW to post their goals on.
It turned out rather nice.
It would make a cute addition to a sewing room also. Luv it.
Aloha!
