Taylored Expressions 10th Birthday Mega Party!!

I am so excited to be participating in this blog hop today!  I was a member of the TE team for quite a while, so it's crazy to think this all started 10 years ago!!!  There are over 40 designers participating in this hop today!!  How exciting is that!!??  You can find the whole list on Taylor's Blog!  Last night, new products were released and you can find those products HERE. 

I have used an older set to create my card in celebration of TE's Birthday!!  My card uses the Tropical Trio Stamp & Die Combo!  I've also used some fun papers from TE including the Hello Sunshine Paper Pack and Blue Raspberry and Pineapple cardstocks!!  The clouds in the background were created using some Confetti Cake ink and the Set the Scene Clouds Stencil Strips.

Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Hi there!  Today Taylored Expressions is partnering up with Word Art Wednesday for their weekly challenge!!  Taylored Expressions is sponsoring a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store, so we hope you'll play along!!

When I think of word art, I think of clean and simple so that the word art is the focus.  I used the Dreams Take Flight stamp from Taylored Expressions for my card.  In order to make it stand out, I stamped and embossed it in white and then stamped it again to create a mask for the butterfly and flowers.  Once I applied the mask to the images, I sponged some Cookie Monster ink onto the cardstock.   Because the image was heat embossed, the white embossing resists the ink so that the sentiment shows up beautifully.

After removing the masks, I used markers to color in the images.  As a finishing touch, I added some Snow Flurries Sequins for some sparkle.  I hope you'll play along with the challenge!!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi there!  I have a card to share today that uses one of my favorite sets from Taylored Expressions, Critters on Ice.  I just LOVE all of the little critters in the set.  I paired it with papers from the Build a Scene - Christmas 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack.  I thought the sky background with the star worked very well for my little scene. . .and so did the snowflake paper!!

I embossed the snow on the bottom of the card using the Snowfall Embossing Folder.  The little polar bear was stamped, colored and then die cut using the coordinating Critters on Ice Dies.  The focal and sentiment circles were die cut using the Stitched Circle Stacklets.   I finished off the card with some Snow Flurries Sequins.

Santa's Adorable Helpers

It's RELEASE DAY at Taylored Expressions!  All of the products we've been sharing with you all week are NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store!!  Before you head off to shop, I have one more project to share with you!  It features the NEW Santa's Helpers set along with the coordinating Santa's Helpers Die Set.

I started off by using the Center Stage Cutting Plate to create a "stage".  I created the background by stamping the NEW Woodgrain Background onto Toffee cardstock.  The lights were created by coloring white pieces of cardstock with red and green Copics.  The straight strands of lights are part of the Center Stage Cutting Plate, but the draped lights are part of the NEW Skinny Mini Holiday Borders Die Set.  The ivy along the bottom of the card is from that die set as well.  Santa's cute little helpers were stamped, colored with Copics and die cut.  Aren't they adorable?!!

Jingle Those Bells!

Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  All of the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow, Thursday, at 7am Pacific!!  Today I have two more projects to share with you.  The first features the NEW Little Bits - Jingle Bells!  I used those jingle bells to decorate this wreath.  There are other new products on this card as well, such as the Wreath Cutting Plate and Joy Script.

I started by using white on white for the card base and the cutting plate.  Then I die cut the Wreath Cutting Plate again using Peapod cardstock and filled the leaves in on the white die cut version.  "Joy" was die cut in black and the jingle bells were die cut out of gold mirror cardstock.  I also added some Metallic Twine.

The second project I have to share today uses the NEW Merry & Bright Die.  I used some of the fun Playful Patterns - Holiday 6x6 Paper Pack behind the die cut.

The green cardstock on the card base was embossing using the NEW Plaid Embossing Folder.  This is definitely a new favorite of mine!  I LOVE the texture it gives and the fact that it will work on any themed project, not just holiday!
