Happy Day!

Today's card has a bit of an odd color combo. LOL The papers are all pastels with a darker ribbon treatment. Sometimes I like to try different things rather than just the "usual". Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't decided on this one yet! :) I used the Funny Eggs image from Penny Black along with some Prism Papers. . .all of which can be found at Stamper's Dream. The Prism Papers I used are Iced Kiwi, Frosted Orange and Iced Pink.

Hope you're having a wonderful day today! The weather is supposed to be nice here today and I can't wait! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Funny Eggs (Penny Black), Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Iced Kiwi, Frosted Orange, Iced Pink (Prism Papers), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Copic markers, grosgrain, Lace Apron border punch (Fiskars); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Peas!

Today's card is very similar to yesterday's, at least in layout and Cuttlebugging. :) I'm just really loving this Holly Cuttlebug folder, but in order to see it well, the image always has to be in the corner. For this card, I added some Kraft cardstock and gold edging. I used the adorable Joyful Peas stamp from Penny Black. You can find both the peas stamp and the Cuttlebug folder at Stamper's Dream! What's even better is that they're both on sale! Yes, all holiday stamps and seasonal Cuttlebug folders are on sale now! No coupon code needed! So head on over to Stamper's Dream and see what else is on sale! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Joyful Peas (Penny Black); Ink: Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Purely Poppy, Kraft (PTI); Accessories- Holly Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft), Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), paper piercer, Real Red, Garden Green and Bashful Blue markers (SU), gold metallic marker (Rose Art), gold brads (Making Memories); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Peas Have a Joyful

Michelle at Stamper's Dream sent me this stamp a while ago and this is the first time I've inked it up. I just thought it was adorable. I remembered this stamp last night as peas were part of our dinner! LOL This is the Joyful Peas stamp from Penny Black. You can find this (and many other) adorable stamps at Stamper's Dream. I colored them with Copic markers and used my Welcome Baby Cuttlebug folder to continue the "round" theme from the image. I really do need to start thinking about my Christmas cards. I know some of you have already started yours. . .I need to follow your lead! Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you're having a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Joyful Peas (Penny Black); Paper- Pure Poppy (PTI), Basic Black (SU), white (Georgia-Pacific); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Accessories- Copic markers, Welcome Home Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft), satin ribbon (May Arts); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Be Inspired #26

I just LOVE Beate's Inspiration picture for today. I love how the room has lots of white space with a splash of polka dots and stripes. How fun! I decided to use the polka dots. I used the Polka Dot Basics set from Papertrey Ink and stamped the polka dots in Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black cardstock, and then embossed them with white embossing powder. The Cuddle In Snow image and the sentiment from the Crystalline set are both from Penny Black and you can find them at Stamper's Dream. Isn't that snow couple adorable? I just LOVE them! The image was colored using Copic markers. For more inspiration, check out what fabulous creations Beate, Danielle Lounds, Dawn McVey, Jennifer Buck, Silke Ledlow and Susan Roberts have come up with for this challenge! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Cuddle in Snow, Crystalline clear set (Penny Black), Polka Dot Basics (PTI); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Basic Black, Red Riding Hood, Pacific Point (SU); Accessories- Copic markers, paper piercer, white embossing powder, red grosgrain, Stardust Stickles, white gel pen; Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

Beate Weekend Sketch #52

I can't believe it's Friday and time for another Weekend Sketch Challenge! Michelle from Stamper's Dream sent me this ADORABLE image and sentiment just because she thought I would like it. Like it? I LOVE it! How cute are those two little ladybugs? I needed a new sentiment to go with some of my ladybug images too! What an adorable sentiment. I colored the image in using ink pads and a blender pen. I haven't used a blender pen in a good while. . .especially since I got some Copics! Make sure you go and check out the fabulous creations of Beate, Cambria, Jenn, Laurie, Lori, MaryJo and Sharon. I can't wait to see what they've come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day! Snow Hug

This is for today's Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS, 3x3 Quickies. We were supposed to make a 3x3 card using quick tools, limited layers and one embellishment. This is just what I needed today. . .QUICK!!! I got this Penny Black Snowpeople image from Pam Speidel of Stamping With {Serendipity} a little while ago in the mail. Aren't they just the CUTEST? This is the first time I've used the images she sent me and now I HAVE to get this stamp! It's just adorable! Thanks again, Pam! I don't know if you can tell in the second photo, but the heads of the snowpeople are a little raised. I put dimensionals behind their heads, while the bottom of the image is mounted flat on the card. It gives a neat 3-D effect of them "watching" the snowfall in the background. This card was super fast and simple, so if you're looking for something fast and simple, head on over to the Limited Supplies Challenge and give it a try! Have a Happy Friday! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Penny Black, So Many Sayings (SU); Ink- Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Bordering Blue, Night of Navy; Paper- Christmas Glitter Stack, blue (DCWV), Whisper White; Accessories- white organdy ribbon (May Arts), Icicle Stickles, hole punch, blender pen.

Bold Brights!

Today's color challenge on SCS was to use some Bold Brights. . .the color family that I don't use very much of. The challenge called for Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore. I wanted to use my new ladybug stamp that I got in my birthday package from Jami. It's a Penny Black stamp, and I think it's so cute! Besides, I really need to work on using small images. They're easy when I do a little 3x3 card, but when I make a standard 4.25x5.5 card, I feel like the whole rest of the card is naked! I guess I just need to get over that! :) Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Lady Love, Penny Black, So Very, See You Around wheel; Paper- Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Shimmery White; Ink- Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Palette in Noir; Accessories- grosgrain ribbon, small oval punch, Making Memories brads, paper piercer, Aquapainter.
