Happy Fall Y'all!

As it's nice and sunny here in Pittsburgh, but a little chilly, I thought I'd dig into my October Key Ingredients kit to create a warm and yummy fall card.  :)  I started with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and used an old set from Taylored Expressions called Frightful Night.  I know, it doesn't look very frightful, does it?  Well, I used the tree image from the set and the bat trio image upside down to create the leaves.  Ever since Jami used the bats for leaves a few years ago in her post HERE, I LOVED the idea and decided to use it for my card today.  I used different colors to give a "fall leaves" appearance and added Cinnamon Stickles from the Key Ingredients to add some sparkle to the leaves.  The sentiment is from the A Year of Sweet Sentiments set.

The focal image was die cut using the Take Note Die 3.  I hand cut the matte.  Finally, I added the button and the scalloped piece along the bottom using the Scalloped Eyelet Border die.

Hope you're having a beautiful day!  Thanks for stopping by!

May Your Holidays Sparkle

Today I had some extra time this morning, so I was able to play along with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.  I don't get to play along often enough!  I used the Winter Wonderland set from Taylored Expressions for my card.  I just LOVE the papers in the Snow Day Project Pantry as well!

I used the layered snowflake as my "main panel" as far as the sketch goes.  I die cut the snowflakes using the Winter Wonderland Snowflake dies and I die cut the sentiment piece using the Favor Frame Die.

Just in case you haven't been peeking in at Taylor's blog, she is celebrating the 12 Days of a Handcrafted Christmas!  Monday through Thursday she posts videos showing you how to create gorgeous handcrafted projects!  You don't want to miss a single video!  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Winter Wonderland (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Fresh Snow, Plum Pudding, Summer Sunrise (PTI); Paper- Snow Day Project Pantry (TE); Accessories- Winter Wonderland Snowflake dies, Favor Frame die, bling and ribbon from Snow Day Project Pantry (TE);  Finished card measures 4.25" square

Your Kindness

Yesterday I finally got a chance to do Mercy's sketch . I used the Thankful Flourishes set from Our Craft Lounge. I stamped the flower from the set in Plum Pudding ink on Plum Pudding cardstock. After I cut out the flower, I sponged and curled the edges and added this neat (and huge) button to the center. I also used one of the embossing folders from the Iron Works Cuttlebug folder set. I thought the embossed flourish went well with the whole card.

Another sketch I was able to participate in lately was the August Sketch Challenge over in the Our Craft Lounge forums. I used the Witch to Wear set from Our Craft Lounge. I covered the "cape" in Christmas Red Stickles and the boots with some Crystal Effects to give that patent leather look. It makes a great Halloween outfit, huh? LOL I also used the Haunted Halloween Cuttlebug folder on the base of the card, so there's a Haunted House in the background in case you didn't notice.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're having a great weekend! You're So Smooth

I am really loving this Indian Summer Fall Stack that I picked up at Joann's this past week. I just LOVE the colors and the glittered and foiled patterned papers inside. I thought they would go well with the Chillax set from Taylored Expressions. . .especially when thinking about an ice cold Smoothie! :) Yum! You can't really tell in the picture, but I put Crystal Effects over the blender pitcher to give it a glassy look. I also used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for the sentiment since I needed it to fit in the circle.

I used Mercy's sketch for this card. Thanks for the awesome sketch, Mercy!
