Just a Little Eye Candy

Since I haven't had time to stamp just yet, I thought I'd share some creations with you for last month's Stampin' in Your Jammies over at Paper Pretties. I think I've told you that every month Paper Pretties has a virtual Stampin' in Your Jammies night for their members. It only lasts for 3 hours. . .one challenge each hour and you have to create and post your creations by the end of each hour. It's a lot of fun and there are prizes for winning entries! I was only able to participate in 2 of the last challenges. The one challenge was a sketch challenge, and the second was to make a sour cream container. It was a lot of fun. . .and you KNOW how I LOVE sketch challenges! :) Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and safe travel! Color Challenge

This was for last week's Color Challenge on SCS, to use Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi and Ruby Red. I've had this Bella for a LONG time and haven't ever used her! Can you believe that? I thought this festive color combination would work well for her. I paper pieced her dress, boots and hat. The rest was colored with a blender pen and ink pads. The sentiment is by A Muse.

Well, today is my last day of being pregnant! It hit me EARLY this morning when I went to the hospital for my blood work. I just can't believe that by this time tomorrow, my belly will be "not so round". :) I've got a lot of last minute things to finish up today, so I'd better get going! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Merrybella (Stamping Bella), sentiment (A Muse); Paper- Wild Wasabi, Ruby Red, Soft Sky, Whisper White (SU); Accessories- star brads (Oriental Trading), Cuttlebug Spots & Dots folder, corner rounder, ribbon (American Crafts), Stardust Stickles., blender pen.

Beate Weekend Sketch Challenge #25

Another Friday, and another wonderful Sketch Challenge from Beate! This sketch called for a Z-fold card. You can't really tell by the photo, but the left panel (polka dot panel) actually folds back to meet the fold of the card. When you pull the card open, the card would stretch to 11", with the focal image filling the left half of the inside of the card. Does that make sense? In order to keep the card closed, I mounted the sentiment on dimensionals and tucked the corner of the focal image behind the sentiment.

The inspiration for this card came from the fact that we JUST bought a minivan ! I've had this Minivanabella stamp for a while, but never used it. I thought now would be the perfect opportunity since this will be ME in a few weeks! :) (okay, maybe not with that svelte outfit and figure, but a girl can dream, right?) So head on over and see what awesome creations Beate, Jenn, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo and Sharon have cooked up! I'm on my way now! Thanks for visiting and Happy Friday! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Minivanabella (Stamping Bella), sentiment (Studio G clear stamp set); Paper- Nana's Kids, brown, gray, yellow (DCWV), Pearlized White cardstock (Paper Accents); Ink- Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Bordering Blue (Stampin' Up); Accessories- polka dot organdy ribbon from Doodliedoo, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, paper piercer, Aquapainter, blender pen, Making Memories brads.

FS35 How Sweet It Is

This was for yesterday's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, to CASE SweetMissDaisy. If you haven't ever checked out Anna's gallery, it is a MUST! She creates some of the most beautiful cards. Her coloring is absolutely amazing! I chose to CASE this card of Anna's. I changed the stamps and the colors. . .but I kept the bags! LOL I really love to paper piece. I don't do it a lot, but when I do I usually always like the results and it saves you from coloring! :) Besides, I think it's a really neat effect when the "shirt" or something in the focal image matches the background paper. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're having a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Teddybella, sentiment by A Muse; Paper- Certainly Celery, Whisper White, DCWV pink and patterned paper; Ink- Palette in Noir, Certainly Celery, Creamy Caramel, Bordering Blue; Accessories- paper piercer, blender pen, Apricot Appeal and Blush Blossom markers, polka dot organdy ribbon from Doodliedoo.

Stamping in Your Jammies!

Since joining the Design Team for Paper Pretties, I've gradually learned some of the other benefits of being a member of Paper Pretties! One of them is the monthly Stamping in Your Jammies event! It's just like Virtual Stamp Night at Splitcoaststampers, but it only lasts one night for three hours AND you have to complete and upload each challenge in the hour time limit given. There are winners chosen for each challenge and prizes given! It's A LOT of fun and if you don't have a huge chunk of time to play, you can just do the challenges that you have time for! If that sounds like fun to you, check out becoming a member! The last Stamping in Your Jammies was the first I participated in, and I had A LOT of fun! It was over before I knew it! The first card was for the color challenge. Oh, and I forgot to mention that you're limited to stamp images that have been featured in one of the Paper Pretties subscription boxes. So, if you're wondering why all three of my cards are Jammybella. . .that's why! :) The second card was for the Marble Challenge. I didn't have any marbles (you know, with little ones around), so I had to use Yogos fruit snacks in my plastic box with the reinkers! It worked rather well! :) The third card was for the sketch challenge. Thanks for visiting today and have a wonderful Sunday! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Jammybella, Studio G clear stamps, So Many Sayings; Paper- Kraft, Whisper White, DCWV aqua, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Glossy White, Certainly Celery, Basic Black; Ink- Palette in Noir, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, Tempting Turquoise, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Bordering Blue; Accessories- paper piercer, Certainly Celery marker, blender pen, prima flower, rhinestone brad, white and guava grosgrain ribbon, small and large oval punches, ticket corner punch, photo corner punch, horizontal slot punch, Groovy Guava and Wild Wasabi reinkers.

Bella Box

I saw this Bella, Musicabella, on Julie's blog a little while ago. I had no idea Musicabella even existed! I had to get her! Well, I was at my local stamp store last week and they recently started carrying Bella stamps! I looked through them before and they didn't have anything that I didn't already have or want. Last week, however, they just got Musicabella! Can you believe it? So, I got one and picked one up for my dear friend, and upline, Kathy. (Kathy is an organist/pianist, well all-around accompanist!) I made one of these One Sheet Boxes to put Musicabella in. Kathy just loved it, which made me very happy! I need to use my Bellas more. I haven't used them much lately and this was a perfect excuse to pull them out! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Musicabella, Faux Ribbon; Paper- DCWV lime, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Basic Black; Ink- Basic Black; Accessories- small oval punch, Cuttlebug Swirls folder, Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, stump, ribbon from Walmart.

Combined Challenge

Today's card is a combined challenge for today's Color Challenge on SCS, and Amy Westerman's Super Sketch Sunday #15 Challenge. I wish I had more time in the day, but it seems easier (lately, anyway) to combine some challenges so I can fit them all in! :) I haven't used my Bellas in a while, so I thought I'd ink this one up. I'm totally loving the 70's pants! Part of Amy's sketch challenge was to use paper piecing, so the Bella's top and pants are paper pieced using Vintage Violet and the striped pattern from the Palette O' Prints. I kind of like this color combo. I haven't used Vintage Violet hardly at all, so it was nice to have an excuse to use it. The ribbon is from May Arts and I just LOVE it! The sentiment is from my Little Lady set, by Papertrey Ink. It wasn't meant to be in the oval, but I stamped it on the white cardstock and it didn't stamp clearly, so I had to cover it up! I actually ended up liking it better! It kind of fills all that open space!

Thank you, so much, those of you who have signed my Guest Book so far. I can't believe all the places you guys are from! I've even reconnected with a friend from my theater past. . .it's unreal how small the world really is! As always, I really appreciate your visits! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Pregabella, Little Lady; Paper- Vintage Violet, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Palette O'Prints, White cardstock from Papertrey Ink; Ink- Palette in Noir, Old Olive, Bordering Blue, Blush Blossom, More Mustard; Accessories- paper piercer, May Arts ribbon, Old Olive marker, small oval punch.

Simple Shower Invitations

I finally finished my sister's shower invitations. I had to go VERY simple because they had to be finished yesterday, and since that's when I started them. . .well, you get the picture! :) I started out coloring them in with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, but that was taking entirely too long, so I switched to pastels and a blender pen. I wish I had more time to work on them because they look rather plain to me, but my sister liked them and that's what's important. She knows she's having a boy, so that's why the colors are blues and yellows. I colored the bow on her belly in with a Gelly Roll sparkly pen, but you can't really see it in the picture. In real life, it adds just the right amount of sparkle. I thought about using lime Stickles, but thought of the drying time and didn't want all of these invitations ruined by wet stickles! So, now all my "must stamp" projects are finished! My husband has his thank you gifts, and my sister has her invitations. Now I can breathe a little and stamp for fun! I really want to do a little scrapbooking! I have some REALLY cute pictures of the girls from this past week that are screaming to be put on a page! Not to mention I should really start thinking about what to do for Mother's Day! Any suggestions for someone who is short on time? I've seen a few mini scrapbooks lately that are REALLY cute. Maybe I'll make some of those if they don't take too long! Thanks for visiting! Hope you are enjoying some beautiful weather today! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Teddybella, Michael's $1 stamp; Paper- DCWV; Ink- Basic Black; Accessories- Polka Dot Organdy ribbon from Doodliedoo, Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, stump, pastels, blender pen, Gelly Roll sparkly pen.

Bellarina

I have had the Bellarina stamp for quite a while, but never used her. Yesterday, I got the DCWV Glitter Stack! Everytime I went to Joann's, they were all sold out, but my dear friend Kathy was awesome enough to pick up an extra one when she found them! She didn't even know that I'd been searching. . .how cool is that? She called yesterday and asked if I'd be interested in one! Once I saw this black striped patterned paper in the stack, I immediately thought of a stage curtain. So, I thought I'd use my Bellarina and put her "on the stage". The "curtain" is mounted on dimensionals to give the card some dimension. I found this sentiment in my box of RARELY used stamps and thought I'd use it. I believe it's Penny Black. I'm afraid I ruined the card by trying to put a "splash" of color behind the words. . .well, maybe ruined is going a bit too far, but I'm not sure I like the colors. Maybe if they were a lighter wash of color, like just watercolored on. I don't know. For "live", I just used Stardust Stickles as a "splash" of glitter. Bellarina's dress is paper pieced. I stamped Bellarina on a pink piece of paper, cut out the dress and then ran it through my Xyron upside down so that the front would be sticky and dunked it in glitter. I LOVE how the dress turned out. It looks like a REAL ballerina's costume, all sparkly! Hopefully you can see the sparkliness of this card. I'm not sure it showed up in the picture. Thanks for visiting today! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Bellarina, Penny Black sentiment; Ink- Basic Black; Paper- DCWV Glitter Stack, pink, Whisper White; Accessories- Xyron, glitter, Stardust Stickles, light pink organdy polka dot ribbon, various SU markers.

New Bella

When I got home today, my Cruisabella had arrived! I just HAD to make a quick card with her. It's not my favorite card, but I used paper that was handy and tried to make it all work together. I colored in Cruisabella with my Prismacolor markers and added some Lime and Stardust Stickles for some sparkle. The sentiment is from a Studio G clear stamp set that was in the $1 bin at Michael's. I can't wait to play some more with this fun Bella! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Cruisabella, $1 Studio G stamp; Ink- VersaMagic in Midnight Black; Paper- Gable Green, Pixie Pink, DCWV Black and Turquoise; Accessories- Making Memories brads, ribbon from Michael's, Lime and Stardust Stickles, Prismacolor Markers, Cuttlebug Spots and Dots A2 folder.

The Cutest Box

Have you tried Beate's tutorial on the One Sheet Box yet? You really should! It is the cutest box! It has sides so you can actually put something in it that won't fall out! The folding is a little tricky, but once you TRY it, you get the hang of it real fast. These would make cute little gift boxes for any occasion. My brain is already thinking of birthdays and holidays that are coming up! :) If you haven't made one, I challenge you to go do it! Post a link with your comment. . .I'd LOVE to see what you all come up with! Hope you have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Parisbella, Green Thumb; Ink- Charcoal Fluid Chalk ink; Paper- DCWV; Accessories- ribbon from Walmart, round tab punch, Prismacolor pencils, gamsol and a stump.

Feelabella!

I made this card yesterday for a very good friend of mine who hasn't been feeling well lately. Hopefully it will make her smile! I used my new Prismacolor markers to color her in. . .and even for the "wallpaper"! LOL The velvet ric rac and ribbon I found at Michael's on the little wooden spools. I also dotted the brads with my white gel pen. . .one of my favorite things to do! :) SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Feelabella, Stamping Bella; Ink- Basic Black; Paper- DCWV, Whisper White; Accessories- Prismacolor markers, Making Memories brads, velvet ribbon and ric rac from Michael's, Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder.
Today is going to be a BEAUTIFUL day, here. Woo hoo! I'm hoping to enjoy most of it outside with my girls. . . after Savannah's dentist appointment, that is. Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Bellas

My name is Charmaine and I am a Bella addict. LOL I LOVE the Bella stamps. If you haven't seen them, be careful because they are addicting! I first started seeing the cutest Bella cards from Amy. She creates wonderful Bella cards (and many other wonderful cards as well) :) I was always a big fan of the Annette and Frankie beach movies when I was growing up--you know, Beach Blanket Bingo and the like? (I was really young, and those movies were "really old", but I LOVED them) Well, this is my How to Stuff a Wild Bikini-inspired card. They're polka dots instead of leopard print, but you get the picture. I added the polka dots to her bikini and to the pink brads with a white gel pen. The "wild" sentiment came from the SU Wild About You set.

The second card was made for a good friend's birthday. It was colored using the WWC. I made the tab with the SU Round Tab Punch and stamped "celebrate" and punched it out with the Word Window punch, then just stuck part of the punched piece back into one side of the punch and shortened the end. The orange brads are from Making Memories. I have some other Bella stamps that I haven't played with yet. I'm hoping to get the chance to soon!
SUPPLIES USED Stamps: Stamping Bella-Bikini Bella, Java Bella, SU-Wild About You, Fancy Flexible Phrases; Paper: DCWV; Ribbon: Walmart; Making Memories brads; SU Round Tab Punch, Small Oval punch, Word Window punch; white gel pen
