Crafty Friends Challenge #13 Make a Splash

It's Sunday and time for another Crafty Friends Challenge!  This week is my turn to host and my challenge to you is to Make a Splash!!  Create a "white" card with a "splash" of color.  The card doesn't necessarily have to be white. . .any neutral will do.  For my card, I did use white but that's a norm for me.  :)  I used the Joyous Noel set from Verve along with an embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  The flowers were stamped, hand cut and then gold Stickles were added to the middle layer.  I finished the card off with some twine and pearls.

For more details on how to play along and more inspiration, please visit the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! We hope you'll play along! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday! SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Joyous Noel (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Choice Snow White (Taylored Expressions), Pure Poppy (PTI); Accessories- embossing folder (SU), twine (Doodlebug), pearls (Want2Scrap), Gold Stickles;

Crafty Friends Challenge #12

It's Sunday and time for another Crafty Friends Challenge! This week's challenge is from Beate.  It's a Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS), my favorite!!  I decided to use an older set from Verve called Holly Jolly.  I stamped the ornament in Versamark and then embossing it with a red, pearlized embossed powder.  I tied gold cording to "hang" the ornament.  Next, I stamped, colored and cut out the holly and ivy and mounting it on the ornament with foam tape.  After stamping the sentiment, I added some score lines with my ScorBuddy and rounded the corners. then added some adhesive pearls for the berries.

For more details on how to play along and more inspiration, please visit the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! We hope you'll play along! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!   SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Holly Jolly (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine), Versamark; Paper- Choice Snow White (Taylored Expressions); Accessories- Copic markers, adhesive pearls (Want2Scrap), gold cording, ScorBuddy;  Finished card measures 3.75"x 5.5"

Crafty Friends Challenge #11

It's Sunday and time for another Crafty Friends Challenge!  This week's challenge is from Nina and it is an inspiration challenge!  I went pretty literal with the inspiration.  Not only did I use the colors, but I even got my layout from the photo.  I used the Treasured Words and Blue Skies sets from Verve for my card.  The papers are from the 72 and Sunny Collection from WeRMemory Keepers.  I die cut the butterfly with the coordinating All Aflutter Die Set.  After assembling the focal point of the card and attaching it, I created a dashed embossed border using my ScorBuddy and a ScorBug.

Good morning and welcome to Challenge #2 for the Crafty Friends Challenge!  This challenge is hosted by Nina and it is to use two die cuts on your project.  You can find all the details for posting your project on the Crafty Friends Blog.  I decided to use my neglected Polka Dot Frames and the Ribbon Tag Trio 3 set from Spellbinders.  The Ribbon Tag Trio 3 coordinates with the Labels of Love stamp set from Taylored Expressions.  I used the polka dot frame from the set to coordinate with the large polka dots on the die cut frame.

You can't really see it in the photo, but the little flower that I created uses little flower die cuts from the Polka Dot Frames set and the little pink flower has embossed polka dots on it too.  The papers are from the London Market Project Pantry at Taylored Expressions.  I added some pearls and stitching to finish the card off.  We hope you'll play along with the challenge!  We LOVE to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Labels of Love (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Malted Mauve (VersaMagic), Walnut Stain Distress Ink (Ranger); Paper - London Market Project Pantry (Taylored Expressions), Bazzill;  Accessories- Polka Dot Frames, Ribbon Tag Trio 3 (Spellbinders), ribbon (TE), pearls (Kaisercraft);  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

Crafty Friends Challenge

Today is the start of a new challenge that beautiful Beate put together.  I'm very excited to be creating with these fabulous ladies and hope you'll play along with our challenges!  You can visit the Crafty Friends Challenges Blog to see everyone's project and play along!

The first theme was Vintage.  Vintage isn't my usual style.  If you visit my blog often, you know that I LOVE the fun, cute, whimsical style of stamps.  I like vintage, but I guess I just don't feel as comfortable with it as I do with fun and cute.  :)  For my card I used the Lovely Labels 1 set from GinaK Designs that was created by my Crafty Friends teammate Nina Brackett.  I used papers from the Almanac Collection from Prima along with stamps from the Simply Jane set and Simply Jane Die Collection from Papertrey Ink.

Please come play along!  We'd love to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
