Oh how I've missed this

losing time and mind in dusty studio, just letting my hand express what my lips would never say =) I must say that I have started this one when I got pregnant and I could not finish it - up until now - so this is the longest so far that took me to finish single project!

 It is all glazed cover which is not my ceramic style usually but I really wanted this white effect on it - I must say - I wish I did not glazed it in white now- and just let it be bold and natural..oh well..this is a learning process as well I guess =)

New Homes =)

I love the thought of "tooth fairy" homes =)I know I used to have a tiny one when I was little.

There are new houses for sale in my Etsy shop, each comes with a tiny ghosty one =).

They can be used for any of your tiny little treasures,  a special note or a wish inside, since the lid comes off.

Clay Love

Still working on my brother's wedding gifts for their guests =) I looooooooooooove having over stocks of clay around the house =)

So far we have made 500 pieces!!!!

busy weekend =)

I am still here, heavier than ever... things around the house seems so hard to do and difficult to get on with at that size =P

I  was not able to do as much as I would like to, but I do hope for the best and that I am super close to the end now ( I wishhhhhhhhhhh)

This weekend was very busy, but I managed to enjoy it a lot =)

Friday, I have started making my brother's wedding gifts for the guests. He is going to have lots of 'em. I need to make around 450 pieces (1 for each family / couple).

My mother came over with my friends and we all played together with clay and started to work on it. It was fun and exciting and of course little emotional making it. My little brother is getting married this is huge =)!!!!

today we must keep on working on it - I promise to show some pics from this whole process =).

In the mean time, kiln is getting cooler (yay!!) and the kids were having lots of fun playing in the sun around the house =)

Little clay making =)

I am so happy about this!! It has been so long since I was able to "play" with ceramics, now my husband was a great help to me and made it easier for me to deal with massive clay blocks and made some smaller blocks for me =) And now I am back to mud and dust playing =))

This is a little preview before kiln fire, New collection of tiny village houses.



Today we are going to have great lunch with the family and....new family members =) My brother is getting married and we are gathering both families for fun Saturday =) I am taking care of last dish, the desserts!!! It should be great fun.

I looooooooooooove gold luster on ceramics and porcelain,

I feel it upgrade the work so much Specially jewelry!! This 12 karat yellow gold is For sure a nice addition to my “obsessions collections” =D

And this time when I opened my kiln it all Came out great on my earrings and finger rings!!! Was soooooooo nice that I have nothing left to wear for myself, but this makes me happy because it means I have more reasons to make more of it!!

Oops when open the kiln....=D

Why don’t I ever read the label???

I had a bittersweet surprise when I finally had the time to open the kiln last night…..

Green porcelain turns into beautiful antique Blue =D

Oh well, Most of what I made does not fit the blue color, but, I manages to save some and make some sweet “vintage look” earrings.

 

Now I know, I must read the label on my clays before use =p

Little Village

Purim is here!!!! Such a great fun!!! The best and happiest holiday ever =0)
Children looooooooooooooooooove it and so do I !!!!!!!
My little one went to kinder-garden today as a sweet little flamenco dancer (too cute!!!!!)
I am sure that all this week we are going to change and wash way too many costumes =0)

Thoughts creates reality

As older I get the better I have come to understand and truly believe that our thoughts does rules us.

It is easy to say I know, and for me it is verrrrrrrrrrrrry hard to shut these little voices in my head that makes my stomach burns. But, I know I am doing my best to overcome this and let myself free from it, I have noticed that it is only pulling me back and brings fear into my days.

I made this, after a long talk with my dearest friend who showed me that all my fears were only in my head – a fruit of my own thoughts creation…

Owl =0)

My friend e-mailed me last night great owl pics and crafters.

After 5 minutes I was at my studio cutting papers =0)

And here is something I made out of clay from “crafters” tutorial

New for 2009!!!

Handmade ceramic ball, filled with soap flakes.

Perfect for use inside closet between garments, or inside

Drawers.

I use sensitive skin care type soap for Flakes making. Made only from natural ingredients.

The flakes gentle fragrance create refreshing feeling, also perfect for babies clothes and undergarments.

This also can be placed inside small basket in the washroom, toilets or any other room in the house.

Flakes are also replace able, you can make it on your own =0) Just open it, throw away the flakes, wash the ceramic ball, and fill in with new once (Balls can be dishwasher used).

I love making it! More to come this week (hopefully …war does hurts!)

Forum Meeting =)

Yesterday I had a great time!! We had the arts and crafts forum meeting. I have been the forum manager since 2003, and I have to admit that this gets more fun at every time!! I love to hear other ladies stories about how they found arts and crafts as a major love in their lives. And, the stories about the events or things that were leading towards the wonderful creations. So you must understand what a great time we all had there.

Usually we all make something at these meetings, sometimes for charity, sometime learning a new technique, and, what's most fun is that we trade hand made gifts there - I don't have pics of what I gave out - I didn't get the time for it, but I took pics of what I got =) in the spirit of the Hanukkah that is coming.
