It's the last day of June and that means it's time for another 12 Kits reveal! If you haven't been following our monthly posts, just click HERE so you can check up on what we are all about!

This month our hostess was Amy Kolling. She is so super talented. If you haven't visited her blog, be sure to go over for a visit. And the kit this month was SO amazing! I think we all instantly fell in love with all the fantastic products. Now I can hardly wait to place an order for some new goodies! Everyone was so excited and couldn't wait to use the supplies! Luckily Renee took a picture of the kit before everything got turned into cards. Thanks Renee!

Working with this month's kit was so much fun. Everything came together like magic. I think Amy may have sent some of those 'self-assembling' cards that I've heard so much about! Now for my cards! A lot of the items were from Lil' Inker Design and one of the most popular was this die cut bow! Isn't it just the coolest! The base on this one is embossed with PTI's woodgrain impression plate. Loved the frosted pearls Amy included too!
There is room in the little kraft bag for a gift card on this one! Tucked inside is a bingo card with 'Merry' at the top. And isn't the mini paper clip fun! There were paper clips and a mini clothespin to use if we wanted.
I cut the Texture Plate frame down just a bit to use it on the card base. Loved the gorgeous satin ribbon so wanted to find a way to use it! Oh, and those trees--another item for an upcoming order!
And speaking of awesome products, don't you love the bell? Isn't that an amazing die cut--and so perfect in silver! I can see some gold ones in my future too! I did use some paper from my stash this time and the little added sentiments are from Waltzingmouse  Say It Loud-Winter Holiday.
Of course,  tags are always a great addition to my Christmas stash! I used more of the fabulous patterned paper with one of the die cut sentiments on a PTI tag.
I'm keeping things brief so you can have time to visit all the other blogs. Below is a list of all the participants.

Thank you, Amy--you supplied an incredible kit--loved it so much!! Hope everyone enjoys the hop and finds lots of inspiration out there that can help you with your own Christmas creations!

HUGS,
Sharron

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #103

Edna Morrisedie created this fun but very challenging sketch for this week's WMS Challenge. When I first saw it, the only thing I could think of was bricks. I tried to see what else I might make but ended up going back to the bricks! I had bought this patterned paper quite some time ago thinking I could use it some time to create fireplaces. Then I remembered that JJ Bolton had used the Memory Box Grand Madison Window die to make a fireplace. I don't have that die (yet!!) but I did have one of the window boxes that my dear friend, Renee, shared with me. I colored it with Copics and used it for the mantle. All the stamps came from Twas the Night Before Christmas set. I stamped the wreath twice to give a little more volume. The sentiment was stamped on the brick paper and then cut out. I couldn't imagine how I could stamp on the final cut-out fireplace without lots of smearing! I curved the stamp slightly so the 'Christmas' would be on a curve--just one of the many joys of using clear stamps! There are two layers of green vellum on the inside of the fireplace with the mouse stamped on the vellum.

I had to rethink my stamping projects for the week. I knew I could never get everything done so am concentrating on the must-do cards plus WM and the 12 Kits monthly release. I am again all tied up with daylily activities that are taking much more time than I planned!

Temperatures here are back up over 100 degrees every day! Hope it's cooler where you are!!

Smiles,
Sharron

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #102

Another week and another wonderful sketch by Edna Morrisedie! I tried several different approaches on this one but in the end decided to use something other than a half circle. Instead I used Spellbinders Labels 1--the largest die. It is set at an angle with one corner cut off. The rick rack circle I used for the sentiment is a PTI die and the sentiment is from WM Compact Sentiments. My happy mail this past week included some new Memento inks plus stamps and dies from WPlus9. Just couldn't wait to use these scrumptious berries. The base is the largest WM gingham stamp done in Elderberry ink, as are the blackberries! The strawberries are in the new Love Letter and I am LOVING this red! A piece of narrow rick rack and some red pearls complete the design!
I am sending this card off to our daughter-in-law for her birthday this weekend. Thanks for taking a peek! I have tons of stamping projects that I need to work on so that should keep me busy for the next week or so!

Enjoy your week!

Waltzingmouse June Blog Party

INSPIRATION PHOTO FOR JUNE
Besides being Father's Day for some of us, today is the Waltzingmouse June Blog Party--held on the 17th of each month!  I wanted to use the balloon from the Half Pint Heroines set so I chose colors from the inspiration photo! I started with a medium aqua color that I had in my stash. The patterned papers are from a single sheet that had a combo of patterns from Scenic Route. The basket is done in Smoky Shadows. It turned out to be a little tedious to do since I cut out each piece and then used from twine that I twisted very tightly to mimic the braid. For the card base I used a piece of Summer Sunset printed with a free digital pattern called Gauze that I got ages ago from Gina K. There are lots of fun sentiments in the set but I decided on "don't forget to have fun" just so the card will fit a variety of occasions.
Be sure to click HERE so you can visit all the other blogs. There is always lots of inspiration and if you want to submit an entry, the party will be going on for 24 hours so there's plenty of time!

Thanks for dropping by! Enjoy the hop!

ColourQ Challenge #141

This is my first ever ColourQ entry! I was looking for something to make for a birthday card for our teenage grandson and thought these wonderful colors would fit the bill. I had already pulled out four of them so added another blue and here is what I came up with!
I knew I wanted to use my new stamp set and dies from WPlus9. I had won Dawn's Berry set and dies at the last release and since I had been wanting to order her stamps for quite a while, I placed my first order. LOVE the stamps! They stamp so beautifully and the dies are the greatest. They came linked together but were super easy to snap apart! Now I am so anxious to make something with the berries!!

I cut the pocket out of Enchanted Evening cardstock, then used a stamp inked with London Fog ink to give the look of denim with a little texture. The stitching was stamped with Fresh Snow ink.The frog is from Jillibean Soup. I tried him on green paper first but liked how the details show better on white. The "a pocketful of Birthday wishes" is in the A Pocketful set. "Hey" was stamped using just part of a WMS sentiment. The "Just for you" came from the same WM set.
Best wishes to all on this Father's Day weekend!

Thanks for visiting,
SHARRON

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #101

This week's sketch is by the talented Edna Morrisedie.  And HERE is the link to see some wonderful inspiration from the Mischief Makers and WM Designers. You still have time to play along--just post your entry by Friday.

Sometimes it's the paper that the inspiration! Last weekend when I went to get a couple of Copic markers refilled, I noticed this great Graphic 45 paper and immediately thought of French Country. This is a 12" x 12" sheet and it worked wonderfully for the background. Love the shade of blue and creamy yellow! I used the French Country background stamp and stamped it with Amuse Toffee ink on Fine Linen cardstock. I wanted it subtle so I could stamp the sentiment over the pattern. The sun I cut out free hand. I wanted it to look whimsical and irregular--think I did it! The frame die is the first one in the Framed Out series by PTI and it's my favorite. The flower was made with a Rolled Rose die by MFT and the leaves came from a Memory Box set. I added a bit of twine and used clear embossing powder on the sentiment.
DO YOU POST YOUR PHOTOS USING THE LARGE SETTING OR EXTRA LARGE? EXTRA LARGE SEEMS REALLY BIG BUT THEY CERTAINLY ARE EASIER TO SEE!
Besides our ongoing storm damage projects, I have been trying to make a stab at organizing my craft area and making some revisions on my blog. Biggest problem is finding where to put all the paper scraps and extra die cuts--any suggestions?

Thanks so much for dropping by! Love it when you leave a comment too!

WMSC #100: A Bonny New Baby

This week's WMSC is a really big event and I just had to do another card! Couldn't pass up the chance to use one of my favorite WM sets, Lil Buddies! I love doing the little critters with patterned papers and because I enjoy paper piecing so much, the bunny is again done in plaid! I adore plaid and since I had this new paper that I bought when a LSS went out of business, it was an easy choice. The ears and tail are the same Bitty Dot paper that I used for the background. And the lace is from WM--isn't it gorgeous! The sentiment, from Say It Loud, is embossed with both silver and white embossing powders.
Hope you have been enjoying all the great entries. There are lots of fantastic projects being posted so be sure to visit HERE!

Thanks for taking a peek at my newest entry!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #100

Hi everyone! Have you visited Claire's blog over at Waltzingmouse yet? There are fabulous things happening. This week is the 100th week for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and there is lots of inspiration contributed by the WM designers and Mischief Makers---plus there are prizes!! Just click HERE to learn more.

I missed last week's challenge so couldn't be late again! Actually I hope to submit more than one card. You can do that too! I am also behind on my Christmas cards. That's another WM activity--so much going on over there!! Anyway, my card for the sketch challenge will also be submitted for the May Christmas challenge.

I got to use supplies that came in my last order. I had been wanting this stamp set for a long time! I've also seen a lot of very creative cards using a combination of sentiments--subway art, I believe it is called. And to meet the requirement for the May Christmas challenge, I needed to use some chipboard. I made my own by cutting six circles and gluing them together. Then I used another circle, stamped with the Santa image, and glued it on top. My chipboard piece was then mounted on a die cut circle, using the same paper as one of the background papers, and then popped up with pop dots. I used a piece of twine that Claire introduced with the last release. Love the rustic feel! The reindeer border is an EK Success punch. I cut them from Pinefeather paper, which is a very dark green, but they look even darker in the photo! They really are green!
Be sure to visit the WMSC blog and see all the other entries. There is still plenty of time for you to enter!!

Thanks for visiting!
SMILES,
Sharron
